All Endings in Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl features a rich narrative and branching storylines, offering players multiple endings shaped by their choices throughout the game. Each conclusion provides a distinct perspective on the game’s world and its diverse characters.

This adds an extra layer of intrigue to the dangerous journey through the Zone. Unlocking all the endings requires making specific decisions at pivotal moments in the story.

This article outlines the crucial choices and actions needed to explore every possible outcome in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Stalker 2: All Endings

Stalker 2 offers multiple endings, each shaping a unique future for the Zone. Unlike the first game, where your overall behavior influenced the ending, the outcomes in Stalker 2 are primarily determined by the choices you make during key quests—”Subtle Matter”, “Dangerous Liaisons”, and “The Last Wish”—as well as your relationships with the game’s various factions.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl features four different unlockable endings:

  • Strelok Ending
  • The Ward Ending
  • Kaimanov Ending
  • Spark Ending

Strelok Ending: “She Will Never Be Free”

In this ending, Strelok seizes control of the Zone and establishes his dominance. This ending is considered by many to be the best in Stalker 2. You will need to make certain decisions during crucial moments in the final missions of the main story to get this ending.

Mission: Subtle Matter

When Scar catches you using the visiograph in Orbita Station, you’ll be presented with two options:

  •  Eternal Spring
  •  Life is for the Living

To progress Strelok’s ending, you’ll have to choose “Life is for the Living”.

Mission: Dangerous Liaisons

When Korshunov catches you during this mission, you will be presented with two choices:

  • I’m not your enemy
  • [Escape]

Here, to avoid the Ward Ending in Stalker 2, choose [Escape].

Mission: The Last Wish

Once you complete the “The Last Step” mission, you’ll receive the “The Last Wish” mission. In this mission, you’ll encounter the doctor in Red Forest, where you’ll have two dialogue options:

  • Lower the gun
  • [Fire]

Select the [Fire] option to secure Strelok’s ending.

The Ward Ending: “Brave New World”

To achieve this ending where the Ward takes complete control of the Zone, you must ally with Korshunov. Follow these steps to get there.

Mission: Subtle Matter

When Scar catches you with the Visiograph in Orbita Station, the first choice for the Ward Ending becomes available:

  • Eternal Spring
  • Life is for the Living.

Choose “Life is for the Living” here to begin progressing towards the Ward Ending.

Mission: Dangerous Liaisons

This is the final choice for the Ward Ending in Stalker 2. When Korshunov catches you during this mission, you’ll be presented with two options:

  • I’m not your enemy
  • [Escape]

Select “I’m not your enemy” here to officially begin the Ward Ending in Stalker 2. This is the final choice.

Kaimanov Ending: “Project Y”

In this ending, Kaimanov realizes his vision for Project Y, determining the future of the Zone and it follows a similar progression to the Strelok Ending, with one key difference during the final confrontation with the doctor. Here are the steps to reach this ending:

Mission: Subtle Matter

When Scar catches you using the Visiograph in Orbita Station, this is where you’ll face the first decision for the Kaimanov Ending.

  • Eternal Spring
  • Life is for the Living.

Select “Life is for the Living” here to proceed with the Kaimanov Ending.

Mission: Dangerous Liaisons

When Korshunov catches you during this mission, end the Ward Ending for Stalker 2 by escaping from him. You’ll be presented with two choices:

  • I’m not your enemy
  • [Escape]

Select “Escape” here to continue with the Kaimanov Ending.

Mission: The Last Wish

In the mission “The Last Wish,” which takes place before the final mission, you’ll encounter the doctor in Red Forest. You’ll be presented with two dialogue options:

  • Lower the gun
  • Fire

Select the “Lower the Gun” option to unlock Kaimanov’s Ending in Stalker 2.

Spark Ending: “Today Never Ends”

You will witness Scar aligning with the Spark faction and following his vision of the Shining. To reach the Spark Ending, you need to choose an alternative option at the very beginning of the final mission series when Scar captures you. Here’s how to do it:

Mission: Subtle Matter

When Scar captures you using the Visiograph at Orbita Station, you will be presented with two choices:

  • Eternal Spring
  • Life is for the living

Select “Eternal Spring” to begin the Spark Ending.

Mission: Dangerous Liaisons

When Korshunov captures you during this mission, escape from him to trigger the end of the Ward Ending in Stalker 2.

  • I’m not your enemy
  • [Escape]

Select [Escape] to continue with the Spark Ending.

When playing “Subtle Matter”, Dangerous Liaisons” and “The Last Wish” make sure to create a separate save file for each mission. This will allow you to explore different choices and endings without having to replay the entire game.

Note: Not all choices in Stalker 2 influence the story; the dialogue that impacts the ending is highlighted in the article.

Important to Remember – Strelok Bug

Any ending other than the Strelok Ending will involve a fight with the legendary Stalker when you reach the final mission location in Stalker 2. However, be aware that this fight can be quite buggy, as Strelok often phases through the level, clips out, and fails to reappear in the boss arena.

The only way to continue from this point (especially if you keep getting soft-locked) is to defeat Strelok quickly before he starts teleporting around the arena. If you’re struggling on Veteran or Stalker difficulty, consider switching to Rookie difficulty for a faster kill.

Conclusion: Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl offers a variety of endings based on key decisions throughout the game. By carefully choosing options in missions like “Subtle Matter,” “Dangerous Liaisons,” and “The Last Wish,” players can unlock different outcomes, each offering a unique perspective on the Zone’s fate and its factions.
