In Ghost of Yotei, Bamboo Strikes are quick challenges that help increase your Spirit, which makes you stronger in fights. Some of them unlock automatically as you play through the story, but most are hidden in different parts of the map. You will need to explore forests, fields, and even hidden paths to find them. This guide will help you find all Bamboo Strike locations so you can upgrade your Spirit and become even better in battle.

Bamboo Strikes help boost your Spirit in Ghost of Yotei. Here’s where you can find all of them across different regions.
Main Story Bamboo Strikes
There are two Bamboo Strikes that are unlocked automatically as you progress through the main story in Ghost of Yotei.

Home Bamboo Strike (The Way of Dual Katana)
This Bamboo Strike is unlocked automatically during the main mission, the Way of Dual Katana. It is present at the edge of a cliff near an abandoned house. You need to interact with it to make a row of bamboo and then cut it.
Home
You will find a broken Bamboo Strike near your home, right across from your father’s forge by the cliffs. It appears on the map as “Home.”
Nupur River Bamboo Strike
This one is located west of the Nupur River and north of the Crow’s Nest Watch Tower. Reach the marked location and go towards the bushes. There is a hidden path inside the bushes. You need to crawl through the bushes to reach the other end. Here, you will find the Nupur River Bamboo Strike.
Yotei River Bamboo Strike
Reach the location marked on the map above. You will find the Yotei River Bamboo Strike in an open field east of Mount Yotei and north of the Yotei River.
Ishikari Plain
You will unlock Ishikari Plain after you complete the Main Tale called “The Oni.”
Urara Bamboo Strike
Reach the location marked in the map above in the southern part of the Urara Forest. Here, you will find the Urara Bamboo Strike, inside the forest area, just beside the house.
Rumoi Bamboo Strike
Reach the location marked in the map above towards the north of the Rumoi River. You will find Rumoi Bamboo Strike in between the grasslands, just beside the bonfire.
Tokachi Range
You can access the Tokachi Range right from the beginning. Just head to Yotei Grasslands and follow the river going northeast.
Huranui’s Rest Inn Bamboo Strike
Huranui’s Rest Inn Bamboo Strike can be found just outside the inn, to the left of the building where some ronin are gathered. You will need to drink Sake before you can begin the challenge.
Misty Valley Bamboo Strike
Unlocked after finishing the Mythic Tale The Spider Lily General. After completing the tale, go to the Abandoned Tominaga Estate and make your way through the bamboo maze. When you see a tall building, head left to find the Bamboo Strike.
Niikappu’s Fork Bamboo Strike
Niikappu’s Fork Bamboo Strike is located east of the Niikappu River. Reach the above marked location. You will find the Niikappu’s Fork Bamboo Strike just inside the forest area beside the trees.
Teshio Ridge
Teshio Ridge becomes available after you complete the Main Tale called “The Kitsune.”
Sakuru Bamboo Strike
Sakuru Bamboo Strike is found in the northern part of Sakuru Forest, southwest of Sentinel Forest. Reach the marked location and take a left to reach the Sakuru Bamboo Strike.
Hakodake Bamboo Strike
Hakodake Bamboo Strike is located just east of the Hakodake Mountains. Once you reach the above marked location, you will find a small house. From there take a left to reach the Hakodake Bamboo Strike.
Sarobetsu Bamboo Strike
Reach the above marked location in the west of the Hakodake Mountains. You will find Sarobetsu Bamboo Strike just near the rocks covered with snow.
Oshima Coast
You will unlock Oshima Coast after finishing the Main Tale called “The Saito Brothers.”
Atago Bamboo Strike
Atago Bamboo Strike is located north of the Atago Rice Fields. Once you reach the marked location, you will find some arrows planted on the ground. Just beside the arrows, you will find the Atago Bamboo Strike.
Matsumae Bamboo Strike
You will find the Matsumae Bamboo Strike in south of the Matsumae Residence. Reach the location marked on the map above and take a right to enter the Matsumae Residence. Move forward and take a left to find the Matsumae Bamboo Strike.
