In the Aberrant Minds side quest, you will help a researcher named Alma who needs your help collecting brains from three strange and dangerous creatures. To do this, you will need to explore different parts of Cuanacht, track down the monsters, and bring back the samples she needs for her research. This guide will walk you through where to find each creature and how to complete the quest step by step.
Abberant Minds Quest
In the side quest Aberrant Minds, your goal is to help a researcher named Alma by collecting samples from three unusual creatures. You will find Alma in Phaidros’ Lab in Cuanacht. Talk to her and she will explain that she is missing some important specimens for her research and asks for your help in finding them.
She needs the brains of three rare beings: a Nuckelavee, a human infected with the Red Death, and a villager affected by the Wyrdness. She promises to reward you for each of the three brains, as long as they are in good condition.
All Creatures Location
These creatures are spread out across Cuanacht, quest markers will lead the way. The exact location of the three creatures is marked below. Track them down, defeat each one, and collect their brains.
1. Nuckelavee’s Brain
The Nuckelavee can be found at Forest Gate, in the far southwest. Reach the marked location and shoot the creature then collect its brain.
2. Red Death Infected Brain

The Red Death-infected human is wandering around the Plains. Walk towards the big entrance gate and you will find this creature roaming around. Shoot him and collect its brain.
3. Wyrd-Changed Brain
The Wyrd-touched peasant is near the ruins. Reach the marked location and walk towards the grassland. You will find the creature inside the field. Shoot hom and collect its brain.
Once you have gathered all three, return to Phaidros’ Lab and find Alma, she will be standing next to a creature in the lab. Hand over the brains, and that will wrap up the Aberrant Minds quest. After completing the quest you will be rewarded with 3300 XP.
