The A Toxic Trail quest in ARC Raiders is an investigation mission where you follow a trail of toxic barrels to uncover the truth behind a sabotage. The quest takes you from the water treatment area into a nearby swamp, with a few simple objectives along the way. This guide will walk you through exactly where to go and what to do so you can complete the mission and get your rewards.
How to Start the A Toxic Trail Quest
In this mission, you will be following a dangerous trail of toxic waste to uncover who’s behind the sabotage. For finishing the quest, you will be rewarded with a Tactical Mk. 2 weapon, a Zipline, a Pulse Mine, and a Gas Mine.
In order to start the quest, return to the water intake spot, which is located under the dam, close to the Water Treatment Control Building. After arriving, move towards the polluted barrels located near the intake. You will start the quest just by going near the barrels. Near the swamp area, you will also find mushrooms lying nearby, which you can harvest for future use.
Investigate the Truck
Once you have inspected the barrels, your next task is to find out where they came from. From the water intake, follow the nearby water stream into the swamp. Along the way, you will come across a truck that is carrying several barrels on top of it. When you get near the truck, simply interact with the truck by pressing the interaction key, and your character will click the picture automatically.
Finally, interact with the truck one more time to look for clues about who sabotaged the area. As soon as you do this, the quest objective will be completed. There will be some ARC enemies, so be careful and use your weapons to fight back.
