The Search Quest of Sakai in Assassin’s Creed Shadows forms part of the game’s primary storyline, where you set out to find the mysterious Golden Teppo. A major character standing out in the quest is Imai Sokyu, who is bound to have close ties to Oda Nobunaga and perhaps have answers for you. Looking for him, however, will not be easily obtained while inside the high-paced city of Sakai.
Searching Sakai Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadow
While on the Searching Sakai mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadow, you must locate Imai Sokyu. This is a mission within the main storyline and is when you’re attempting to learn the identity of the Golden Teppo. Oda Nobunaga is connected to Imai Sokyu, and he might help you further your plans. Finding him in Sakai, however, will not be easy.
Gathering Clues from Gunsmiths
When you arrive in the city, you will start by questioning a few gunsmiths about a woman with a golden teppo. Eventually, in the eastern part of town, you will overhear two men discussing something important, so be sure to eavesdrop.
Once you’ve gathered some information, you’ll need to approach them and secure their contracts, which will give you access to Imai Sokyu. No dialogue choice will completely block you from getting the papers, but if they suspect you’re not one of them, they may either flee or attack.
In that case, take them out and retrieve the documents. After that, send out scouts to narrow down Sokyu’s location. They’ll confirm that he’s somewhere in the Money Changer District, but exactly where remains a mystery.
Imai Sokyu Location
To find Imai Sokyu, you’ll first need to locate his house. Start at the main crossroads in the center of Sakai and head south down the street with a ramp at the corner. Just before reaching a bridge, turn northeast and look for houses with white cloth hanging in front. There are several, but you’re looking for the second house from the bridge. Once you find it, simply open the door to complete the quest.
However, instead of meeting Imai Sokyu, you’ll be greeted by his son, Imai Sokun. To continue the main story in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll need to complete the “Perfect Gift” and “Dress for Success” quests, which will eventually lead to “The Tea Ceremony.”
