Getting a wanted status in Assassin’s Creed Shadows can be more difficult because enemies will become more aggressive towards finding you. If you’re the type of player who wants to play passive or more aggressively, there are several methods you can use to clear your wanted level. You can simply wait for the seasonal reset, you can use scouts to clear out alerts, or you can use preventative measures so that you’re not marked to begin with. This article addresses all the means of dealing with and clearing your wanted status effectively.
How to Clear Wanted Status
The simplest way to clear a wanted status in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is to just wait it out. Whenever the seasons in the game change, all of the regional alerts reset, so that Naoe and Yasuke will no longer be sought after. But since it takes around an hour of in-game time, players may want to use a quicker, more aggressive strategy.
Using Scouts to Remove Wanted Status
Upgrading the Kakurega hideout to level two lets players assign scouts to clear regional alerts. To use this feature, open the map, move the cursor to a region with an active alert, and hold X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox) for a couple of seconds, just make sure the cursor isn’t on a map icon. If two scouts are available, the wanted status in that area will be removed immediately.
Clearing Multiple Regions with Scouts
Unlike seasonal clearing, clearing a regional alert with scouts only clears the desired status in the province to which they were dispatched. Therefore, if players must clear their status in several regions, they will have to send scouts to each individually. Luckily, this is not a huge issue because scouts can be reset by going to any Kakurega. It does cost something, however, 200 mon per scout, so it will cost 400 mon to completely clear a wanted status.
Preventing Alerts
Rather than having to deal with local alarms once they’re activated, players ought to concern themselves with avoiding them in the first place. The best means of doing that is sabotaging the alarm bells in fortresses and castles. You don’t even need to ascend to access them, just fire an arrow or toss a projectile to destroy the bell at a distance. If you’re fast enough, you can even remove it while an enemy is climbing the ladder to pull it.
