In the gritty environment of R.E.P.O., survival depends on your capacity to effectively harvest usable loot. It revolves around the Extractor, an important gadget that is a collection point and an escape method. Mastering its use is essential, as it dictates your success in completing missions and navigating the increasingly challenging environments you’ll face. What follows is a guide that takes you through the mechanics of the Extractor and the most important strategies for getting the most haul and extracting safely.
How to Extract
The Extract Point is right at the entrance of each level, next to the truck you arrived in. You can leave at any time to revive teammates, but the round only ends once you’ve met the required quota for that level.
You can track your progress on the Extract machine, it shows how much of the quota you’ve collected. Just bring items from around the level back to the machine and hit the red button to extract your loot.
After extracting the loot, everyone needs to get in the truck to move on to the next level. Once you’re in the truck, you can email the Taxman to confirm you’ve completed the level. But be careful, any players who aren’t in the truck when you extract will be left behind! They’ll get a warning as soon as you send the email.
On the way to the next level, you’ll stop at the Service Station. Here, you can buy items, mess around (even blow each other up), and heal some HP. After that, it’s time to move on to the next area, where you’ll have an even bigger quota to meet.
