To fully unlock the potential of the Barrow-Dyad Exotic weapon in Destiny 2, you’ll need to track down 18 Taken Osseous Fragments hidden throughout the Dreadnaught. While you only need six to get the initial upgrade, collecting all 18 will ensure you can fully power up this unique weapon later in the season. This guide will walk you through the locations of each fragment, broken down by area: the Hall of Souls, the Mausoleum, and the Trenchway. Happy hunting!
All 3 Osseous Fragment Locations
To fully upgrade the Barrow-Dyad Exotic weapon in Destiny 2, you’ll need to find 18 Taken Osseous Fragments scattered around the Dreadnaught. You only need six to unlock the first upgrade, but it’s a good idea to collect all 18 now so you can fully power up the weapon later in the season.
Osseous Fragment Locations in Hall Of Souls
Fragment 1: When you first arrive, turn slightly to your right and head towards the corner. It’s sitting on a little pillar.
Fragment 2: From the left side of the Court of Oryx platform, go north into the weapons room. Inside, keep to the right wall and you’ll find it tucked under a platform. It’s against the wall opposite you.
Fragment 3: Starting from where you found Fragment 2, go south down the hallway towards the Tormentor room (the same room where King’s Fall starts). About halfway down the blue-lit hallway, check the wall on your right. There’s a small opening there – the fragment’s inside.
Fragment 4: On the right side of the Hall of Souls (east of the Court of Oryx platform), look towards the corner of the Dreadnaught. You should see it shimmering in the dark. Jump across the gap to get it.
Fragment 5: In the same general area (the eastern corner, right of the Court of Oryx platform), look under the platform that goes up to the Tormentor room. The fragment is on top of a rectangular pillar. You’ll need to jump to it.
Fragment 6: Still on the right side of the Hall of Souls, look for a fragment on a broken support beam sticking out over the chasm. It’s under the platform that leads to the Tormentor room.
Osseous Fragment Locations in The Mausoleum
Fragment 1: As soon as you spawn in, turn around and drop down to the platform below. Look to your right – it’s on the edge of that platform.
Fragment 2: Go to the inactive portal in the middle of the Mausoleum. Turn around from the portal and drop down. Take a few steps forward, then turn right. The fragment’s hiding in the corner.
Fragment 3: Again, start at that inactive portal. This time, turn left 90 degrees and head towards the tentacle on the platform. Slide under the tentacle – the fragment’s there.
Fragment 4: This one’s easy. It’s right in the center of the Mausoleum, on top of a bunch of broken pillars overlooking the area.
Fragment 5: This is on the path to the Mausoleum boss (near the Dreadnaught’s floor). As the path starts to curve, jump up the rocks on your right. You can also jump over from the tentacle near Fragment 3.
Fragment 6: Head to the boss arena itself. Once you’re there, go around the rocks on your right – the fragment is waiting.
Osseous Fragment Locations in Trenchway
Fragment 1: If you start your Nether run in the Trenchway, this one’s super easy. From where you spawn, turn a little to your right and drop down to the slanted platform nearby. It’s hanging out near the portal exit.
Fragment 2: This one’s near the Taken Witch fight, on the outside of the Dreadnaught. Face the wall that goes into the Dreadnaught, and look up at the weird platform above. There’s a ramp nearby – go up that ramp to get to the platform and the fragment.
Fragment 3: Still near the Taken Witch fight. Go up to the exit that’s blocked by that Taken energy. The fragment’s in a little pile of Hive stuff to the right of the exit.
Fragment 4: This one’s on a high-up platform near the Subjugator fight. Go inside the Dreadnaught and down the stairs to that area.
Fragment 5: This one’s in the back-left corner of the Trenchway (inside the Dreadnaught). Head towards those spore sacks in the back-left. Climb up the spores and the weird platform nearby. You’ll have to jump across some platforms to get to the fragment.
Fragment 6: This is in the same place where you first went into Oryx’s throne room back in the original Destiny. Once you’re inside the Dreadnaught, look to your right and use your Ghost to reveal some hidden platforms. Use those platforms to cross the gap, and then look for the fragment inside one of the rocks nearby.
