In Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the Snatching-Beast quest is one where you have to find an extremely dangerous monster and retrieve five taken Commission Supplies from it. In order to do that, you will have to visit the lair of the Snatching Beast and kill it there. In this guide, we’ll show you how to reach the lair, defeat the Snatching Beast, find all five Commission Supplies, and deliver them to Wash to complete the quest.
All Stolen Supplies Locations – Snatching-Beast Quest
The Snatching Beast quest unlocks right after completing The Castle in the Ice quest. Before you embark on this quest, keep a couple of Heatstones on you to fight the cold. The Lair of the Snatching Beast is found to the east of the Mountain Stronghold, and you can only enter through the northern entryway. From there, head south down the narrow passage to find the Snatching-Beast and engage in battle.
Defeat the Snatching Beast
At the very end of the cave is the boss arena where you will meet the Snatching Beast. Defeating this enemy is quite easy, as it is weak to fire damage. Any spell or weapon that inflicts burn damage will work well here. Once the beast is down, collect any one commission supply during the quest to get the Abominable Snowstash achievement.
Collect the Commission Supplies
Once you defeat the Snatching Beast, look around the room for the five Commission Supplies that are found here. It’s essential that you find all five since you will have to come back if you miss even one of them.
Commission Supplies (Thermal)
Inside the cave, take the passage that leads into a pit of rocks and battle the two Saurians. From there, advance towards the small room with barrels and the tilted wood crate where the Commission Supplies (Thermal) lies in the corner next to the crate.
Commission Supplies (Curatives)
Keep moving through the tunnel until you come to a corridor where there are many pots and wooden boxes. The place name changes again to Snatching-Beast’s Lair when you enter. Go to the left side of the corridor, and then get onto the raised stone platform that is placed along the wall. There will be wooden boxes stacked on the platform, and you will see the Commission Supplies (Curatives) beside it. The pack is out in the open, so you don’t need to search for a chest.
Commission Supplies (Rare Armor)
The next two supply crates can be found in the boss room. You should go to the rock ledge that is located at the back of the room, above the platform where the Snatching Beast is lying. Look for the keg there; the Commission Supplies (Rare Armor) supply crate can be found on the left side of the keg.
Commission Supplies (Rare Curatives)
The Pack Commission Supplies (Rare Curatives) is located next to the Rare Armor pack. Check out the right-hand side of the small barrel, where you will find the first pack.
Commission Supplies (Rare Weaponry)
The last pack, known as Commission Supplies (Rare Weaponry), can also be found in the boss room. You will need to look on the wall of the cave for a pile of wooden crates, and the pack will be lying on the ground next to a piece of Snowoak Bark.
Deliver the Supplies to Wash
Once you have collected all five Commission Supplies, return to Wash and hand them over to complete the quest. He will explain the problems surrounding the commission, and the quest will end after your conversation. Your rewards will be 40,000 XP and whatever spoils you had collected while exploring the cave.
