The Fallen Dragon is one of the most formidable bosses present in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen. It will not be easy to beat this monster without being properly prepared. The right party, proper healing, and the way to hit it where it hurts will be required. In this guide, we’ll explain how to find the Fallen Dragon, prepare for the fight, and defeat it using simple tips and strategies.
How to Find the Fallen Dragon
You can start the Reunion quest at Mordria Temple in Norgan. To unlock it, you must first complete the Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way quest. After completing the Reunion quest, you’ll receive 450,000 XP and 100,000 Gold. You’ll also unlock the Norgan Portcrystal and gain access to post-game content.
Fallen Dragon Boss Fight Preparation
In relation to the Fallen Dragon battle in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, it would be advisable for one to get a healer, a Fighter or Warrior who will be able to draw the enemy’s attention, and an additional damage dealer apart from one’s main character. In terms of a healer, this will ensure the safety of the group during the battle.
In the same vein, a tank will enable the enemies to be distracted and therefore allow others in the group to attack. The additional damage dealer will also come in handy during the waves of Ghouls that arise during the battle.
A Warrior is a good choice for drawing enemy attention. Equip the Roar skill, the Provocation Augment, and a Ring of Disfavor to help attract enemies toward you. This setup allows your other party members to focus on dealing damage or healing while the Warrior keeps enemies occupied.
How to Beat the Fallen Dragon

There are certain areas of the fallen dragon that you should attack in order to inflict maximum damage. The first areas to attack include its glowing chest, its two front limbs, wing flaps, and neck. If you are playing melee combat, you should attack its limbs and wings, while ranged players should attack its glowing chest and neck.
Once you destroy both front limbs, hitting the dragon with melee attacks becomes more difficult. At this point, focus on its wings and neck. Wait for the Fallen Dragon to lower its head before attacking its neck to land your hits more easily.
Defeat the Ghouls as Soon as They Appear
As the battle proceeds, the Fallen Dragon begins spewing small ghouls that target you and your Pawns. Do not overlook such foes, because they can easily overrun you if you give them time to gang up on you. Take advantage of AoE attacks to eliminate multiple ghouls in one spell. You can make good use of spells such as Maelstrom and Salamander to deal with groups of ghouls.
Take Cover Behind the Rocks
At certain times during the battle, the Fallen Dragon charges up a powerful attack and fires it from its mouth. When the dragon charges the attack and a tornado appears around its mouth, get out of there right away and hide behind a rock on the sides of the arena. You should not forget to instruct your pawns to do the same thing. When the attack finishes, join the battle again and try to damage the weak spots of the dragon.
Rinse and repeat these steps until you are able to kill the Fallen Dragon with one swift blow, and thus, ending its reign in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.
