There are multiple Map Kits that can be found within Control Resonant, and for each of these, you have to activate three sensors in the particular area. Locating these sensors will assist you in gaining additional information on the map. In this guide, we’ll show you the locations of every sensor and explain how to reach them.
Downtown Map Sensor Locations
You’ll need to find the Downtown map sensors during the early-game tutorial. Luckily, all three are fairly easy to find.
Downtown Sensor 1
The first sensor is just above the main pylon. There is a Speed You Can Trust sign in a building just north of that. The sensor will be near this sign.
Downtown Sensor 2
The other sensor is located to the northeast of the main pylon, which is close to a small rusty water tank. Next to the sensor will be a green desk and three stacked spotlights.
Downtown Sensor 3
Sensor 3 is southeast of the central pylon, on the basketball court that is fenced in. After activating all 3 sensors, return to the central pylon and use it. This will reward you with the map kit, allowing you to open your in-game map and discover additional POIs of this area.
Central Map Sensor Locations
The map pylon located at Central is above an orange portable office found at the western side of the main plaza, north of the Downtown checkpoint.
Central Sensor 1
The first detector is located just north of the primary pylon. It will be situated on top of some blue office container modules.
Central Sensor 2
The second one is situated northeast of the central pylon, close to the entrance of the Verconn building. You can find it atop the orange portable office containers.
Central Sensor 3
This sensor is located on a single blue box that can be found east of the main pylon. It is near a stack of big yellow balloons.
Evacuation Zone Sensor Locations
The sensor for the Evacuation Zone is slightly spaced out compared to that of Downtown and Central. This weather could also cause the sensors to become difficult to see. The pylon is on top of a building to the south of Main Street, near the fast travel door. You should use the fast travel door as your primary landmark while looking for the sensor.
Evacuation Zone Sensor 1
The first sensor is located on a roof opposite the street, north of the pylon and fast travel door. The sensor may be hard to locate because of its slowly blinking red light.
Evacuation Zone Sensor 2
This particular sensor can be found near the pylon and the fast travel portal, a short way east from these two items. Take a few seconds to locate the blinking light of the sensor.
Evacuation Zone Sensor 3
To get to the last sensor, go southwest from the pylon and take the southern road. Find the roof close to the sign of Speed You Can Trust. The sensor will be very close to that sign.
West Incursion Zone Sensor Locations
Sensors in the West Incursion Zone are rather easily locatable. Keep moving on through the zone and head over to the House of Mirrors theater. The map kit pylon will be right in the center of the town square near the theater.
West Incursion Zone Sensor 1
The first one can be seen in the southwestern corner of the square, situated just west of the House of Mirrors. Look for the Patterned Area sign.
West Incursion Zone Sensor 2
The second sensor is located on the eastern street corner close to the House of Mirrors. You will be able to spot the second sensor from the first sensor’s location.
West Incursion Zone Sensor 3
The last sensor is located northeast of the pylon, at the center of a vertical street. You are at the right location if you can find Atlantis and The Badger stores around you.
The Park Sensor Locations
The Park is one of the more dangerous areas you can reach from Central because of the higher-level enemies and the poisonous Mold. However, getting the map kit is fairly safe as long as you move carefully.
The Park Sensor 1
This is located northwest of the central pylon. Once you have found the Park Valley Fast Travel Door at the western side of the map, then head to the northeast to find this sensor.
The Park Sensor 2
Second sensor is on the ground on the northern side of the main pylon. It lies inside a ditch which contains molds, between a building and a skyscraper.
The Park Sensor 3
Sensor three is found by jumping off the roof of the pylon building and heading southwest until you see it on the exterior of a squad building that has some graffiti.
The Underpass Sensor Locations
You will have to move along in the narrative for some time before you reach the Underpass location. The place lies well below the streets of Manhattan and Sinkhole locations. Also, it might become difficult for you to use the map. Begin your journey by going to the Spire that is lit up with white light.
Underpass Sensors
Once you’re at the Spire, use the fast travel door. Then, turn your attention to the southeastern ledge. This way, you will be able to see the map kit pylon and all three sensors that are located under it. The location also has Hiss enemies, which makes it wise to eliminate them before focusing on the sensors. The three sensors are located on the tops of the north, east, and south pillars around the map kit pylon. Once the enemies are cleared, reaching them is fairly straightforward.
The Unknown Zone Sensor Locations
You would have to travel along the walls and ceilings of the area as well as set two probes to form a knot that allows access to the bigger part of the Unknown.
Reach the First Probe
Firstly, go towards the supply balloon where Pope had set up close to the elevator. Drop your box, and then attack it to open it up. Grab one of the probes and take it to the red circle which is rough in appearance. It is important that you recognize the red circles because you will come across many others in the Unknown.
Reach the Second Probe
Bring the second probe to the other side of the starting point and insert it into the other red circle. This will create a platform that you can access via the Reach ability.
Reach the Map Kit Pylon
As soon as you are on the platform, make a jump and start moving towards the buildings that are beneath you. You will find the map kit pylon somewhere in the middle of the buildings. The thing is that the Unknown alters the way the directions operate, and so the area where you are standing near the pylon can be considered the “down” level.
Unknown Sensor 1
Search for the building made of red bricks with “Yo” written on it. Hop to the building and stay right. The sensor will be found on one of the nearby rooftops.
Unknown Sensor 2
The second sensor is mounted on the roof, which hangs over the pylon. Use the Reach skill on the nearby rooftop, and you will have an option to determine which direction you consider up and down. You will then notice the white brick building that has graffiti on it across the street. Also, there is a red sign for bus-only on the street.
Unknown Sensor 3
Sensor three is at the same height as the major pylon. This position offers an overview of the roof of Oldest House. Should you have difficulty locating it, just check out the very bright white lights and the deflated yellow balloon, which are near it.
