\There are a total of eight hidden dogs located in Control Resonant, and each dog is found at various locations within Manhattan. The player will have to locate the lost toy of each dog before talking to it once again. The completion of this secret mission will earn the player the Dog’s Best Friend trophy. This guide covers the locations of every dog and explains where to find them.
Control Resonant Hidden Dog & Dog Toy Locations
There is one hidden dog per zone in Control Resonant. Once you find a dog, you must look for its lost toy and return it to it. Completing this task for all the dogs gives you access to a secret quest, which later gets you a trophy; hence it’s crucial for completing the game. These dogs can be located in any order of your choice; the only exception is the dog from The Gap, which can only be located towards the end of the game.
Chapter 1: Mysterious Dog 1 (Downtown)
The Mysterious Dog in the Downtown area would be the first one for you to find. She will be sitting on a building located on the north side of the street that goes from the Oldest House.
In order to get the toy for the dog, stand facing the dog and turn to the left. There should be a building near where there is an advertisement board for Chowtrap. Use Elevate to get to the building and retrieve the toy. Having done that, come down using the building adjacent to the dog. Then put the toy into the dog’s bed in order to trigger the Every Dog Has Her Day quest.
Chapter 2: Mysterious Dog 2 (Central)
Locate the second secret dog in Central and then search the area to locate its missing toy. After finding the toy, return it to the dog and interact with it.
Facing the direction from which the dog is looking will reveal the toy at the bottom of the alley in front of the dog. The environment is equipped with lasers and a few Hiss enemies. Make use of Elevate and float above the lasers and enemies before landing near the dinosaur toy and taking possession of it. Once you have it in your possession, immediately climb onto the ledges that can help you reach the higher ground, and then return the toy back to the dog in Central. Don’t forget to pat the dog.
Chapter 3: Mysterious Dog 3 (The Park)
The third mystery dog can be found in The Park. Once you find the dog, look for its toy around that location. Take the toy back to the dog and talk to it.
Go to the specified place and eliminate all of the Mold enemies there. Inside the roof will be a room with two batteries, both empty. Remember this place; you will need these batteries later. Go across the street to where the batteries with energy charges are and charge Dylan’s Aberrant with energy.
Then go back quickly to the roof room with empty batteries and charge one of them with the electricity. Go with the charged battery to the nearest lift that is marked by the flag. Put the battery near the lift mechanism to charge it.
Press the button to activate the lift and ride it to the top of the building. Grab the dog’s toy and go back to the dog using the Elevate ability. Put the toy in the dog’s bed.
Chapter 4: Mysterious Dog 4 (Evacuation Zone)
The fourth mystery dog can be found in the Evacuation Zone. The dog’s toy can be found somewhere nearby; look for it once you have located the dog. Once you find the dog’s toy, give it back to the dog.
Looking toward the dog, you will see the toy located above you, sitting on top of a building to your left. In order to get it, you have to jump on the building that is located right behind the dog, and then use Elevate and Shift to make Dylan return to the rooftop of the normal building. After that, take the toy and use the exact procedure to go back to the dog and give her the toy.
Chapter 5: Mysterious Dog 5 (West Incursion Zone)
A fifth mysterious dog will be encountered in the West Incursion Zone. Locate the dog initially, followed by locating the dog’s toy within the vicinity. Give the toy back to the dog and interact with it.
The toy is placed on top of two AC units outdoors, situated west of the upside-down building, where you located the dog. Just grab the toy and position yourself towards the building using your Shift power. When you have reached the dog, put the toy in the dog’s bed.
Chapter 6: Mysterious Dog 6 (Underpass)
There is a sixth mysterious dog, which is found in the Underpass. Search the area to find its toy and then proceed to give it to the dog.
Go on the path northwest from the dog and walk along it until you come to a place where you can position Dylan in such a way that he can touch the floor directly above him. In order to do so, press Shift. Go to the dog and make a right turn; this will take you to the place where the toy is placed. Grab the toy and drop down into the hole near it.
As soon as you land on the lower floor, go over to the next platform. Dylan will automatically switch back to his normal perspective. Drop into the next hole, and you will land in the dog’s place. Put the toy into the bed of Mysterious Dog.
Chapter 7: Mysterious Dog 7 (Unknown)
The seventh mystery dog is located in this area. Similar to the other dogs, you have to look for its toy and give it back to the dog. Once done, interact with the dog to confirm.
In order to get the toy of the Mysterious Dog, you need to visit the top of the white building opposite the dog. There is a Bar sign located at the top of the white building, and the toy will be found there. Start moving from the path where the billboard is located and continue heading towards the building. Upon arriving at the end of the path, press Shift to move across the rooftop of the building.
Once you reach the elevated platform in the game guide, double-jump and press Elevate to land on the terrace of the white building. Right after landing on the roof, press Shift to match Dylan with the roof terrace. Move across the terrace and take the toy from the mysterious dog. After that, just jump from the roof and drop down to the lower part of the building. Go to the dog and give her the toy.
Chapter 8: Mysterious Dog 8 (The Gap)
The last one can be found in The Gap. As soon as you have access to this area, press Down on the D-pad and head to The Gap. After arriving there, you will find the final dog here. Talk to it and finish the quest line.
