Best Recon Sniper Loadout
To become a good sniper, you should level up the Recon track using spotting. Your first rifle will be the Mosen that you can acquire at Level 10, but you have to level up to Level 12 in order to unlock the SVD. It is semi-automatic, easy to replace, and it allows you to shoot follow-up shots faster compared to a bolt-action rifle.
Further, you can advance to the SV98 and MK22 that are excellent bolt-action rifles. Another good choice is the BMR 308 rifle that you can unlock at Level 30. The AMR50 is more of a late-game fun weapon than something you should rely on every match.
Your scope range must depend on your style of gameplay. Start with the 3–6x LPVO and then progress to the 6–10x scope once you are able to. The Ghillie Body and Head gear becomes available at Level 24; they will help you become invisible for a long time when sniping; otherwise, you may appear as an easy target rather than a hidden sniper.

To add an extra layer of protection, carry a Claymore and keep it behind your back while scoped in, as this will prevent the enemies from approaching from behind.
When it comes to ammo, use FMJ at the beginning stages and then switch to AP as the enemies begin wearing plates.
Lastly, you should always carry binoculars. Even without a proper shot available, you’ll be able to spot enemies, thus gaining some XP and making some money.
Where to Scope and Snipe
As a Recon specialist, your main goal is to stay out of sight while still having your eye on your targets. Any high vantage point is your friend, so towers, structures at a height, or hilltops are your go to while camping around your FOB. The only drawback to these locations is that you can get easily overpowered, so always let your team know where you are at. Avoid moving around frequently, as one wrong move and the enemy will know your location.
To survive, it is best to snipe while inside buildings that offer the most coverage. Towers are the best when it comes to this, but you also run the risk of getting caught since Towers are always sought after targets. Rather, find an area with a handful of tall buildings, like the church, and get up there to camp and snipe. If you prefer the vast outdoors, use your ghillie suit and a Recon Tent, then find a spot with a lot of foliage to blend into the surrounding.
