Even though we have created the best tier list for casual players, any players can choose any characters that suit their playstyle. 

Duelists Tier List

We’ve ranked the characters into S, A, B, and C tiers, starting with the top performers who dominate matches with ease and then moving down to those who require more skill or coordination to really shine. 

S Tier

At the very top of our tier list, we have Scarlet Witch, Hela, The Punisher, and Moon Knight. 

• Scarlet Witch
  • Perfect for casual players with no need to reload, aim, or worry about escapes.
  • Can vanish and fly away at any time, making her hard to catch.
  • Her lock-on attack is difficult for most casual players to counter, allowing her to dominate.
  • Ultimate is loud and has a long wind-up, but often results in a team wipe in casual games.
  • An ideal “easy-to-play” character for turning off your brain and having fun.
• Hela
  • A consistently strong character since the beta.
  • Her primary attack works well at both long and short range.
  • Dagger barrage is effective against larger targets.
  • Her ultimate is one of the best, allowing her to teleport into the air, rain down devastating attacks, and escape quickly when it’s over.
  • Extremely safe and highly effective in all situations.
• Moon Knight
  • A surprisingly strong character with great mobility.
  • Can leap, glide, and reposition easily, making him excellent for flanking.
  • Grapple ability allows quick entry and exit from fights.
  • Primary fire rate is powerful, especially with well-placed headshots.
  • Ultimate is very effective, though it has a smaller radius compared to other area-based ultimates.
• The Punisher
  • A straightforward and powerful character, easy to learn and play.
  • His turret mount can lock down locations, effectively turning him into a stationary tank.
  • Ultimate delivers massive firepower, capable of wiping out teams, especially with good Vanguard support.
  • A reliable choice for players who want strong offense with minimal complexity.

A Tier

The A-Tier features the largest group of characters, including Iron Fist, Iron Man, Squirrel Girl, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and Mister Fantastic. These characters are excellent choices for the average player, offering a solid mix of powerful abilities and impressive damage output.

• Iron Fist
  • The only brawler in this tier, thanks to his self-healing and fast mobility.
  • His speed makes him harder to hit, while his self-healing and damage deflector allow him to survive longer on his own.
  • Has potential for S-Tier in higher ranks but remains A-Tier for the average player.
• Iron Man
  • The best flying character in the game, with quick movement that reduces vulnerability in the air.
  • Great at flanking enemy teams and picking off unsuspecting opponents.
  • Casual players benefit from less counter-picking at lower ranks, making him safer to use.
  • His ultimate can be devastating if used without being spotted.
• Squirrel Girl
  • A ranged character that doesn’t require pinpoint accuracy.
  • Her bouncy area-of-effect projectiles land hits in general areas.
  • Super jump helps her escape bad situations or get better angles for attacks.
  • After her ultimate buff, she can now make a much bigger solo impact.
• Winter Soldier
  • Ideal for players with decent aim, offering strong options for both close-range and ranged combat.
  • Simple moveset that’s easy to learn and use effectively.
  • His ultimate is a standout feature, as it can be reused if you kill someone hit by the previous ultimate.
• Hawkeye
  • Previously an S-Tier character but drops to A-Tier this season.
  • Requires high accuracy and lacks flexibility in his abilities.
  • Struggles against Doctor Strange, who dominates the current meta, making it harder for Hawkeye to have a significant impact.
• Mister Fantastic
  • The newest addition to the roster, combining duelist and vanguard traits, making him perfect for casual players.
  • Simple yet effective attacks and abilities allow him to maintain pressure and deal high DPS.
  • His damage-absorbing ability helps with escapes or stalling until teammates can back him up.
  • A solid all-around character that’s easy to use.

B Tier

This tier features Namor, Star-Lord, Storm, Magik, and Wolverine. While these characters don’t quite measure up to the top performers in their class, they are still a step above the C-Tier.

• Namor
  • A solid, middle-ground character with placeable turrets that chip away at enemy health effectively.
  • Casual and lower-ranking players often ignore his turrets, giving him an edge.
  • His ultimate is slow and underwhelming in damage, keeping him from being higher tier.
  • Without his turrets, Namor would likely fall into the C-Tier.
• Star-Lord
  • A capable attacker but requires precise aim and good movement to shine.
  • His ultimate provides auto-aim, making it easier to deal heavy damage quickly.
  • Struggles to keep up with fast-moving targets, as his individual shots deal low damage and need to connect consistently.
• Storm
  • Recent buffs have made her much more viable, putting her closer to Iron Man’s level.
  • She requires accuracy and tactical positioning, needing to stay close to the ground to share buffs with teammates.
  • Lacks a quick escape option, often leaving casual players vulnerable.
  • Her ultimate is strong but doesn’t match the simplicity and reliability of Iron Man, keeping her in this tier.
• Magik
  • A fun and powerful melee character, great for targeting squishy enemies like healers.
  • Requires advanced techniques like melee cancels to reliably secure kills.
  • Casual players may struggle with her need for precise targeting and coordination in unorganized settings.
• Wolverine
  • Built as a tank killer, requiring dedication to this role for maximum effectiveness.
  • Success depends on mastering combos, separating tanks from healers, and timing escapes.
  • Not well-suited for general combat, which is more common in casual play, making him a challenge for most players.

C Tier

This tier includes Black Panther, Black Widow, Psylocke, and Spider-Man. These characters tend to struggle in typical casual gameplay, as their damage output and overall versatility fall short compared to other Duelists.

• Black Panther
  • Struggles to make a strong impact since the beta, even after a buff.
  • Damage output is weaker compared to other brawler characters.
  • His ultimate ability is tricky to use effectively, often feeling wasted for casual players.
• Black Widow
  • Her sniper can deal solid damage, but she’s overshadowed by Hawkeye in every way.
  • Requires high accuracy and limits peripheral vision when scoped, making her challenging to use.
  • For a similar playstyle with less difficulty, Hawkeye is a better option.
• Psylocke
  • Excels at high-level play but is very hard to master.
  • Requires skill to use abilities effectively for quick damage and escapes.
  • While her ultimate is powerful, farming it is tough for average players, often leaving the team behind.
• Spider-Man
  • Great for competitive play but less effective for casual players.
