Even Tempered Achievement is easy for anyone playing Halo: Campaign Evolved. The only condition here is that you need to be cautious while playing, as the game involves other players with whom you have to work. All you need to do is complete the mission with the Temperamental Skull on. In this guide, we’ll show you how the Skull works and the safest way to finish the mission and unlock the achievement.
How To Unlock The Even Tempered Achievement
In order to get the Even Tempered achievement, you must complete the Halo mission (which is the second mission in the game) while the Temperamental Skull is active. It’s not necessary to beat the whole game, but just the mission itself. Make sure that before you start, you have unlocked the Temperamental Skull.
The skull is available in The Most Dangerous Game mission, which is the second prequel mission out of three. You will be tasked with fighting waves of Elites, Grunts, and Brutes inside the Covenant hunting preserve as the mission’s task. Don’t forget to set your difficulty to Easy to quickly get the achievement.
What The Temperamental Skull Does
Temperamental Skull will make your Marines much more unforgiving of any mistakes you make. Usually, you can kill one friend without trouble, but having this Skull on will mean that betraying them will have serious consequences. In order to avoid problems:
- Don’t shoot or kill any Marines.
- Avoid running them over with vehicles.
- Be careful when using grenades, even though the game is sometimes more forgiving with accidental explosive kills.

Complete The Mission Safely
When you start the mission, you can completely ignore the enemies and simply run through the first part of the level. After exiting the tunnel, receive a Warthog from the arriving Pelican. Drive to the first rescue location that lies by the cliffs. The lack of Marines on the ground means that you can kill the Covenant forces without hitting your fellow soldiers.
Once inside the underground complex, you should rescue your comrades and make sure that you eliminate the rest of the enemies without shooting your teammates. Next, you should drive to other rescue locations. There will be Marines awaiting you at each of them. Put some of them inside your Warthog and let them take care of most of the fighting while you concentrate on driving. This way, you reduce the chances of injuring your allies.
The only thing that you should pay attention to is not running your Marines over while driving. Relax and let your teammates do the fighting. After rescuing all three squadrons and completing the mission without provoking your teammates, the Even Tempered achievement becomes available.
