In order for you to defeat the Ci & Cuo World Boss in Where Winds Meet 2.0, you have to open up the Hidden Mountain area to find the secret boss battle arena. The boss battle is quite difficult to start with, but once you learn the mechanics, it becomes easier. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the Ci & Cuo boss, how to unlock the boss, and the best strategy to defeat both phases of the fight.
Ci & Cuo Boss Location: Where Winds Meet 2.0
Before you go ahead and fight the world bosses, you must first unlock the Hidden Mountain zone through the quest “Yingying’s Invitation.” Now that you are in the Hidden Mountain zone, you must find the lake located just east of the old Mohist City and enter the water. Swim over to the white-colored puppet present beside the structure on the other side of the little building in the lake area and interact with it.
Ci & Cuo Boss Fight
The battle will begin with two puppets, but there will be only one opponent at any given moment. Only the puppet that is in the light will be affected by your attacks; thus, each time the spotlight changes positions, shift your attention and attack the other puppet.
At this stage, all the attacks performed by the opponents are quite predictable. First, the puppets circle around and then charge into a melee attack which can easily be deflected. Usually, after that, the enemies make a spinning attack. Do not try to go into a melee battle, since the opponents will not chase you while spinning. Thus, you will have a good opportunity to deal damage from a distance.
Phase 2
As soon as you drain both health bars, you will see a scene where Ci and Cuo will come together to form a very strong puppet. From here onwards, the battle will be a fast one because the combined puppet will rush towards you and follow it up with some melee attacks.
During this phase, the boss will make use of combos that are based on slashing moves. As much as possible, deflect these attacks from the boss. Usually, all combos end in a ground slam. However, if you cause enough damage to the boss, then you will be able to interrupt its attack. The boss won’t move too much within the arena and will not have too much health during this phase of the battle. Keep deflecting its attacks, then keep up the pressure to finish the fight quickly.
