Moon Lord Master is the most difficult raid boss introduced via the Palworld 1.0 Terraria crossover patch. This creature has high health, serious damage, and can easily take down any unprepared player and their Pals. If you want to beat this boss, you will need to have the right equipment. In this guide, we’ll show you how to summon the Moon Lord Master, the best equipment and Pals to bring, and how to defeat the boss and earn its rewards.
How To Summon Moon Lord

In order to summon Moon Lord, you will need a Celestial Sigil. It is possible to craft the Celestial Sigil once you have found the Celestial Sigil Schematic, which drops from the chests in the room once you defeat the Eye of Cthulhu in the Terraria Dungeon. Once the Celestial Sigil is crafted from the schematic at the Workbench, you will need to have 100 Hallowed Bars for summoning the boss.
Place a Summoning Altar in your base and use the Celestial Sigil there. In case you do not have the Summoning Altar yet, unlock it from the Technology tab when you reach Level 33. It is recommended to have an empty base before summoning the Moon Lord because he has a number of AoE attacks that will easily destroy all buildings in your base.
How To Defeat The Moon Lord
Bring along Pals who have ranged abilities because there is no other way to damage the boss than by targeting its eyes and heart. Pals who have melee abilities will not be as effective. Moreover, remember that the Moon Lord is a Terraria Raid Boss. Unlike normal Pals, it cannot be captured, so defeating it is the only way to earn its rewards.
Best Weapons To Defeat The Moon Lord
The Plasma Cannon is one of the best weapons to use during an attack on the Moon Lord. This is due to the weapon being able to cause serious damage as well as allowing players to easily target the enemy’s weaknesses. Target the eyeballs once they open and aim straight into them for maximum damage.
After the moon lord shows his heart, all players should concentrate their attacks on the heart. If you do not have the plasma cannon, use any other powerful weapon. Some of the weapons include: Laser Gatling Gun, Drone Launcher, and Advanced Bow. Another weapon you can use is the Energy Shotgun while on a Flying Pal.
Best Armour to Defeat the Moon Lord
Hexolite Helmet and the Lightweight Hexolite Armour would be good options to use against the Moon Lord. Both will provide decent defence, and when combined with the Ultra Shield, surviving the attacks from the boss will become easier. If you own Triple Jump Boots, then you should definitely equip them, too. With additional jumps, dodging big AoE attacks from the Moon Lord becomes easier.
Best Pals To Defeat The Moon Lord

Dandelord has a very high stat total, which makes it strong and hard to beat. The main strength of Dandelord is its unique Grass skill known as Windburst or Wind Vortex. This skill allows your party to attack the Moon Lord’s weak points constantly during the whole battle.
Most of your damage will be done by Dandelords, so you will not need that many supporting Pals. Your support party should consist of:
- Selyne to greatly reduce the damage your shield takes and increase shield regeneration.
- Bristla to increase Grass-type damage.
- Orserk to provide an additional damage boost while your drones are active.
The strategy works even without many party Pals, as a full team of 15 Dandelords is already strong enough to handle the raid.
How To Beat The Moon Lord

Before the battle starts, equip your Drone Launcher and summon your Pals at the Summoning Altar. Try to stick close to the Moon Lord during the battle, since the drones will only stay while you are close enough to the boss.
Once you start fighting, try to attack the eye in the middle of the Moon Lord using your Plasma Rifle. It is your first weak point that you need to take care of, and being close to it also allows you to make the drones attack more consistently.
Pay attention to Moon Lord’s attacks. Avoid getting hit by the green beam by either backing off or dodging to the side. If the boss uses the spinning Red Vortex Beater, try to dodge it while still attacking it.
Make sure to avoid placing yourself under the attacks of Moon Lord’s beam attacks. Your Pals will be able to survive longer if they are not attacked by the boss.
Once you kill both of the Moon Lord’s hands, his chest will open. At this stage, you can start attacking it and continue doing so until you decrease its health and win the battle.
