If you’re ready to challenge Auri and Shaolong in Palworld 1.0, you will first need to get past a few obstacles before the battle begins. From disabling the tornado around the Azure Covenant Tower to preparing the right gear and Pals, there’s a lot to do before facing this powerful boss. Since Shaolong has two battle phases and some dangerous attacks, going in unprepared can make the fight much harder. In this guide, we will show you how to reach the boss, prepare for the battle, defeat Auri and Shaolong, and claim all the rewards.
How To Find Auri And Shaolong
In order to fight the early tower boss, you will need to deactivate the huge tornado that keeps knocking you back every time you try to get to them. In order to do that, you will need to find and deactivate six Defence Beacons located in different spots.

To begin, go to the Azure Covenant Tower Entrance, which is located at (-432, 1424) coordinates. Then head northwest, where you will find the first Defence Beacon. Normally, you will be faced with a few enemies blocking the beacon, but you can just rush past them if you are powerful enough.

After activating the first beacon, head west-northwest toward the area where the jet spawn is located. You will find the second Defence Beacon there.

From there, move southwards until you get to the third beacon. Turn off this beacon after climbing to its topmost part.

Then, from the third beacon, proceed eastwards and locate the fourth Defence Beacon. After turning it off, fly further east to get to the fifth beacon.

The sixth and last Defence Beacon coordinates are (-259, 1399). Just like with the fifth beacon, there is a big hole in the ground. Drop yourself down into the hole, and you will see your target lying underground. After disabling all six Defence Beacons, the tornado that surrounds the tower will vanish from the map. Now you can freely move towards the Azure Covenant Tower and start your boss battle.
Auri And Shaolong Boss Fight

Shaolong is Level 68 and has an incredibly high amount of HP at 327,600. This makes the encounter one of the toughest in the game. There are two stages of the battle, and Shaolong uses different types of attacks depending on the stage of the fight.
In the first stage of the fight, you will be fighting in a large sinkhole with several stone pillars here and there. Shaolong’s main attacks will be of the Dragon-type in the first stage.
In the second stage of the battle, Shaolong floods the battlefield, making only the tops of stone pillars accessible to battle, and Shaolong will use mainly Water-type attacks.
When Shaolong’s HP reduces to 100,000, Shaolong uses its Celestial Vortex attack, which forms a vortex pulling all objects towards the centre while causing damage. After the attack is performed, the battlefield reverts to how it looked before the attack was used, and the battle starts from the first stage again.
Boss Fight Preparation
To start off, before facing Auri and Shaolong, it is best to be able to have a character Level 70 and have the Ancient Armour and Ancient Helmet equipped to be better protected. As far as weapon choices go, some strong weapons that you want to consider would be the Mechanical Bow, Combat SMG, Prototype Shotgun and Heavy Assault Rifle, as they are long-range weapons and allow you to stay away from Shaolong’s attacks and attack him easily.
Before engaging in the battle, it would be best to pay a visit to a Statue of Power and use Pal Souls to buff up their HP, Attack and Defence stats. As Shaolong is a Water/Dragon type of Pal, he is vulnerable to Ice and Electric-type attacks. Frostallion and Orserk are the best choices, but you could go with any other high-level Pals. Try to build your team around Pals that can use these elements to deal more damage and make the battle much easier.
How To Defeat Auri And Shaolong

Since Shaolong is a Water Dragon-type Pal, it is more vulnerable to Ice and Electric attacks. Therefore, you should choose some Pals that can cast spells in these elements to make the battle easier for you. In particular, Electric abilities are very helpful as they can stun Shaolong and give you a chance to do additional damage. When the battle moves to the second phase, use a swift mount and run away all the time, as Shaolong’s Water abilities will become less harmful to you.
It is important to avoid the attack called Celestial Vortex, and you can do it easily by hiding behind one of the big rocks or by riding a swift mount out of the area. Moreover, it is better to fight from a distance. Use weapons of a distance type while your Pal is distracting the enemy.
Rewards For Defeating Auri And Shaolong
Defeating Auri and Shaolong grants you 5 points of Ancient Technology and, in addition, Character EXP and Pal EXP, just like any other boss fight inside the tower. Remember that the number of EXP points earned depends on your World settings, so it can be different depending on the particular game you play. Nevertheless, defeating this particular boss gives you an opportunity to acquire new Ancient Technology and earn a lot of EXP. Even so, defeating this boss is a great way to unlock more Ancient Technology while earning plenty of experience for both you and your Pals.
