Xenolord is one of the strongest and toughest Pal available since the Palworld 1.0 release. Unlike most Pals, you can’t find or catch it in the wild. You will have to summon the raid boss of Xenolord and then defeat it in order to hatch its egg. In this guide, we will tell you how to unlock the raid, gather materials, summon Xenolord, and defeat the boss.
How To Get Xenolord In Palworld
Xenolord is among the toughest Pals in Palworld and cannot be found anywhere in the entire world. In order to acquire it, you will have to defeat the raid boss and then hatch its egg. However, before you can summon Xenolord, you need to unlock two buildings:
- Expedition Station
- Summoning Altar
You will use the Expedition Station to gather the Xenolord Slab Fragments for making the raid tablet and the Summoning Altar for summoning the boss.
Farm Xenolord Slab Fragments
Start by opening the Expedition Station and taking your Pals on one of the most difficult levels of expedition, like Astral Frost Cavern and Dark Cave. You can check the reward pool list on the right to find out if the Xenolord Slab Fragments are listed. Your success rate during the expedition will affect the number of fragments that you receive.
With a high success rate, you will get four Xenolord Slab Fragments. Remember that at lower success rates you will get fewer, and therefore you should repeat the expedition several times until you gather at least four Xenolord Slab Fragments. Now you should go to your workbench and create the Xenolord Raid Tablet.
You also have a chance of finding Xenolord Slab Fragments in Feybreak Island. Check out the dungeons to find them or check the chests near Alpha boss arenas to get some. After collecting all fragments, take it to the advanced workbench to craft the Xenolord Slab.
Summon The Raid Boss
It is advisable to set up the Summoning Altar in a place far from your base. Since the raid boss Xenolord can deal powerful blows, fighting it close to your base might lead to the destruction of your structures. It is important that before going to war, you use at least 15 of the strongest Pals.
Defeat Xenolord
Once summoned, Xenolord has over one million HP, making it one of the toughest bosses in the game. Make sure you’re well-prepared with strong equipment, healing items, and high-level Pals before taking it on. After defeating the boss, you’ll automatically receive a Xenolord Egg in your inventory.
You’ll also unlock the Ultra Xenolord slab fragment. To unlock the Ultra version of the Xenolord, you need to summon 10x Xenolords the same way and collect all fragments each time, then craft it at the workbench to use.
Hatch the Xenolord Egg
Put the Xenolord Egg into an Egg Incubator and then wait for it to hatch. After it has hatched successfully, you will get your Xenolord. Unlike other Pals, Xenolord doesn’t have any habitat, meaning that you won’t be able to find it anywhere outside of the game.
How To Defeat Xenolord In Palworld
The strategy uses 15 fully trained Bastigor. Each Pal has strong combat passives such as:
- Legend
- Musclehead
- Demon God
- Serenity
For active skills, they use powerful Ice attacks like:
- Frozen Talon
- Diamond Rain
- Glacial Impact
Bastigor would be a good choice since Ice-type attacks of Ice type cause additional damage to Xenolord, which is a Dragon/Dark-type Pal. If you don’t already have it, you can create Bastigor through breeding of Frostallion and Anubis.
When fighting, use Frostallion as your riding Pal instead of some other flying Pal because its partner skill transforms your attacks to Ice damage and makes it possible for you and your Pals to deal more damage on Xenolord. Some useful passives for Frostallion are:
- Legend
- Infinite Stamina
- Vanguard
- Runner
Before sending out the raid team, buff up your troops by feeding them food and giving them medical treatment. Use Mammorest Curry to increase your Pals’ Attack stat by 25%. Also, don’t forget to give them Advanced Recovery Medicine so that they will have more Health regeneration during combat.
Best Gear
In this battle, it will be wise to wear the Hexolite Helmet and Lightweight Hexolite Armor because they give great protection but don’t affect your speed that much. You can also use an Attack Pendant in order to deal extra damage and finish off the Xenolord quicker.
Bring both the Laser Gatling Gun and Rocket Launcher to the battle. The Laser Gatling Gun is great for giving continuous damage to the enemy, and the Rocket Launcher is useful when fighting lots of enemies like Xenogard or Xenovader, thanks to its powerful explosion and high damage.
Battle Strategy
From the start of the raid, move up high in the air. This makes sure that Xenolord focuses on the Pals while leaving you safe from harm. Flying in the sky will also provide an additional advantage when Xenolord summons other enemies because they mostly stay on the ground.
Most of Xenolord’s attacks will find it difficult to target you because you are high up in the air. However, be careful about one of Xenolord’s strongest attacks, which will cause a lot of damage if it hits you. Therefore, it is important to move away from it.
When Xenolord’s health reaches 650,000 HP, he summons more Pals who come to help him. However, you will not face any problem from them because you will still be in the air. Rinse and repeat while healing your Pals and dealing damage from up in the air to knock it down.
How to Breed Xenolord
The only way to get Xenolord is to get two Xenolords of the opposite genders. That requires you to fight the raid boss several times, or find Huge Dark Eggs in the overworld and take it to the Hatchery. In short:
- Breed Xenolord with another Xenolord; the egg will always hatch into a Xenolord.
When breeding, try to keep the parents’ passive skills limited to only the ones you actually want. The fewer unwanted passives they have, the better your chances of getting the perfect Pal. Also, remember that every egg has a chance to get a new mutation in the 1.0 update.
