The Prism Slime is one of the new Frost Moon Local Legends added in Genshin Impact 6.7. Unlike most bosses, this one has energy-draining mechanics that can make the battle difficult if you are not prepared. Prism Slime Boss Fight
You can find the Prism Slime in the Lunar Highland of the Frost Moon. This area is locked until you complete Act 1 of the Moon Gazing questline. After unlocking the area, jump off in the middle of the flight to land near the Prism Slime locations.
How to Beat Prism Slime
The Prism Slime has a unique mechanism in which every 10 seconds it drains energy from an active character and becomes immune to that character’s element. It is recommended to use powerful off-field damage dealers such as Durin and Ineffa, who can keep dealing damage even when they are not on the field.
Characters like Chasca and Varka work very well as your on-field unit because they can support your off-field teammate and help trigger reactions quickly. Skirk and Mavuika are also usable, since the Prism Slime cannot steal their special Burst Energy.
Boos Fight Strategy
At the start of the fight, stay on your on-field character and let the Prism Slime absorb their element. After that, switch to your other characters and use their Element Skills to keep triggering reactions. This will continuously fill the boss’s gauge. Once the gauge is full, the Prism Slime will return some Energy to your party and grow into a much larger form.
At this point, it loses its elemental immunity giving you an opportunity to deal as much damage as possible. It will use a powerful spinning attack, but you need to avoid its attack and keep attacking. After taking enough damage, the Prism Slime will shrink back and become stunned for a short time.
Team Strategy
Teams built around Mavuika or Skirk are a good choice for this fight because they don’t use the standard Energy system. If you don’t have these characters, you can use characters like Chasca or Sandrone, since they only use their Elemental Skills instead of their Burst. Just make sure that the Prism Slime absorbs an element that isn’t their main source of damage. To complete all three objectives, you need to defeat a Prism Slime before it enters its third giant form.
Prism Slime Boss Rewards
After killing the local legend, the Prism Slime, for the very first time, you will get 20 Primogems along with 3 Slime Concentrates. For the second challenge, you have to kill the Prism Slime in such a manner that it absorbs energy only two times before absorbing light. On completion of this challenge, you will receive 20 Primogems along with 25,000 Mora. Lastly, you will have to kill the Prism Slime before it starts gathering light for the third time. Upon completion of this challenge, you will get 20 Primogems and 3 Guide to Moonlight.
