Installing new upgrades to your Tadpole turns a basic ride into a versatile exploration rig – faster, quieter, deeper and stronger. This guide shows where to find the vehicle modification station and unlock upgrade modules for your tadpole so you can upgrade your tadpole.
Obtaining Modification Station Blueprint
To obtain the Modification Station blueprint, you need to progress the story and reach the Alien Base, which is located just past the Observatory.
After you reach the Alien Base location, head inside the alterra base and look for the structure – Modification Station as shown in the above image and scan it. You’ll unlock the modification station blueprint along with vehicle upgrades for the Tadpole.
Building Modification Station
Then use the Habitat Builder to build the Modification Station inside the base. The resources needed to build it are – 2 titanium, 2 celestine and 2 copper. These resources are found in abundance near the alien base, you can either scout for them or use scanner station to locate them easily.
Tadpole Upgrades
Open the modification station menu, under the tadpole logo you’ll be able to see the available upgrade modules for tadpole. Then select any module from the options available and craft them. These upgrades won’t be applied automatically to the tadpole, instead you need to install these upgrade modules onto the tadpole manually.
You can do that by accessing the upgrades compartment on the tadpole and drag-n-droping the modules from your inventory into the tadpole upgrade slots.
And that is how you get the modification station and unlock tadpole vehicle upgrades.
