BO6 Red Light Green Light – Squid Games – How to Play

Go hard or go home in a dead game of survival! Black Ops 6 lets the “Red Light Green Light” of that Netflix series ‘Squid Game’ truly come to life.  In this intense multiplayer mode, you’ll face off against other players in a high-stakes race for survival. Navigate the treacherous course while evading the watchful gaze of the giant doll, Young-hee. But be warned, the game becomes more challenging as players get knives and the game becomes more competitive. This guide will arm you with the necessary strategies and tips to outwit your opponents and come out on top in this deadly game.

How to Play Red Light Green Light

To play Red Light, Green Light in Black Ops 6:

  1. Find the Mode: Look for a playlist in the main menu specifically called “Red Light, Green Light.”
  2. The Goal: Your mission is to make it across the map without getting eliminated.
  3. How to Play:
    • When Young-hee (the giant doll) stops singing and turns around, you must freeze completely.
    • As soon as she starts singing again and turns her back to you, you can move forward towards the finish line.
    • If you move when you’re supposed to be still, you’ll be eliminated.

It’s like a real-life game of “Red Light, Green Light,” but in a video game! You have to be very careful and pay close attention to Young-hee’s movements.

Things get trickier as the game goes on:

  • Knives: Blue squares will start appearing on the field. If you grab one, you get a knife! This lets you attack and eliminate other players who are close to you.
  • More Competition: With knives in the mix, things get much more intense. You have to be careful not only of Young-hee but also of other players who might try to stab you.
  • XP Boost: Golden piggy banks will also appear. Collecting these gives you extra XP points. This helps you level up faster and earn cool rewards from the event.

The game gets more exciting and challenging as you progress. You’ll have to use both your stealth and your fighting skills to survive and win!

How to Win Red Light Green Light

Staying Perfectly Still is Key:

  • Controller Issues: Make sure your controller doesn’t have “stick drift.” This means the joystick moves on its own, even if you’re not touching it, which can make you look like you’re moving when you’re not.
  • No Sound! Turn off your microphone. The game can detect any sound you make, even breathing heavily, as movement. This could get you eliminated.
  • The “Not Moving” Sign: Wait for the special sign to appear in the middle of the screen. This confirms that you’re not moving and are safe.

Timing is Everything:

  • Don’t Rush: Even though you want to get to the finish line quickly, don’t rush. Moving right before Young-hee stops singing can make you accidentally move a little, which will get you eliminated.
  • Be Patient: Take your time and be cautious. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Note:

  • Controller Check: Ensure that your controller is in good working condition before you begin playing.
  • Watch Out for Knives: Don’t run in a straight line. This increases the chances that other players might sneak up and stab you from behind with their knives.

By following these tips, you’ll have a much better chance of surviving and winning the Red Light, Green Light mode in Black Ops 6!

Tips

  • “Da” is the Key: Young-hee will always call for a Red Light after singing “da.” Don’t stop moving just because the music slows down.
  • Use Player Mistakes to Your Advantage: Most players will stop when the music slows, even if it’s not time for a Red Light. This gives you a chance to get ahead.
  • Don’t Follow the Crowd: Just because other players are moving doesn’t mean it’s safe. Trust your own instincts and listen for “da.”
  • Stay Absolutely Still: When Young-hee says “Red Light,” absolutely everything must stop – your movement and even your camera. Any movement will get you eliminated.
  • Patience is Key: Don’t rush. Wait for the clear “Green Light” signal on screen.
  • Avoid Other Players: In later rounds, stay away from other players as much as possible to avoid getting attacked with knives.
