Crimson Desert has its fair share of tricky puzzles which cannot be solved if you don’t even have the faintest idea of what to do. Passage of Malice is one among them, it doesn’t really tell us how to solve the puzzle. To solve the puzzles in Passage of Malice you’d have to make use of Axiom Force. In this guide, I’ll walk you through on exactly how to solve the puzzles of the abyss.
How to get to the Passage of Malice Abyss?
To get to the Passage of Malice abyss, you’d first need to complete a quest of lighting the spires on fire at the Spire of Frost. The best way to do this is, make your way to the entrance of the spire which is locked by the way and you need to light the spire beside the entrance to unlock it. Once it’s unlocked, make your way to the top of the spire through the stairs and along the path you will come across frozen spires that you need to light up. Lighting up 7 spires will unlock your way to the abyss at the top of the spire.
How to solve the Passage of Malice puzzle?
When you enter the abyss, you can see a device that emits light rays on the left side and you’ll also see a device that absorbs light rays on the right side.
You need to use your Axiom Force / Chain skill on the device and move it using the chain such that the light rays point exactly on the device that absorbs it. This will open the platform that leads below, make your way down there.
Once you reach the lower level, you’ll see a door on the opposite side but it’s locked and you need to solve the puzzle. And this is where it gets interesting because you won’t understand what you need to do exactly to solve the puzzle because the game doesn’t say much. You need to connect the axiom chain to the marked slots shown in the above image, with the help of them you can rotate the large blocks.
Attach your axiom chain to the right side and you’ll be able to select which block to rotate, the selected block turns blue. Rotate the third block on the right side as shown in the above images. This will unlock the path for the device to be moved freely.
Do the same on the left side as well but you need to rotate the second and third block to form a path.
Then use your axiom force on the light device which is on the right side and move it to the second block.
Do the same with the light device on the left side but move it to the third block. And now get back to the starting platform because you need to rotate the blocks again such that the light absorbing device is pointed towards the light emitting device.
Rotate the third block on the right side and second block for the left side, this’ll align the devices in order and the door will be unlocked.
After the door is unlocked, make your way through it and you’ll reach a room with the large dial which you need to activate by putting back the energy cell in its place. Use the axiom force on the floating energy cell and place it near the block exactly like on the other side and then use the force palm to push it back in place.
Then climb onto the dial and use force palm skill, this will activate the abyss. And then step into the teleporter and it will teleport you to the main door that will lead you to the Abyss artifact.
