The Antumbras Sword is a tough boss fight in Crimson Desert. It is very fast and aggressive. It teleports around the arena, uses a combination of dangerous red attacks, and leaves very little time for reaction if you are not well-prepared. With the right skills, timing, and a bit of patience, you can defeat the boss. In this guide, we will tell you how to defeat Antumbra’s sword in Crimson Desert.

    Antumbra’s Sword in Crimson Desert

To find the Antumbras Sword, you need to go to the Sanctum of Absolution, which is located in the Hernand region. To find this, you need to complete the Cloister of Ruination faction quest. To defeat Antumbras’ Sword, you need to clear the area and then proceed with the quest. When you arrive at the sanctum, be prepared for a fight. The Antumbras Sword is considered one of the toughest bosses in this part of the game.

    How to Defeat Antumbra’s Sword

If you are fighting Antumbras’ Sword in the faction quest for the Witch of Wisdom, then be prepared for one of the boss battles in the game, as he is very quick and moves around a lot, and if you make a mistake, he will kill you in no time.

Best Skills to Prepare Before the Fight

You should put three points in Focus so that you can get Focused Insight. This is very important because it will allow you to defend against the enemy’s attacks when Focus is active. You do this by pressing the LB or L1 button.

You should also level up Force Palm to level three. This will allow you to use it three times in a row. This will give you serious damage and will even stop some of the Antumbras Swords’ attacks.

If you want to do damage, you can level up Nature’s Echo to level one. This will make your Forward Slash hit twice.

    Main Strategy for the Fight

When the fight begins, lock on to the boss. Immediately, turn on Focus. Try to stay in Focus as much as you can, watching the boss’s attacks in slow motion. Because of the slow motion, you can see that the boss is about to attack. When the boss’s attack is halfway to you, you can counter by pressing the LB or L1 button. When you successfully counter the boss, the boss will. You can attack the boss. After you have successfully countered, you can do a damage combo:

    • First, you do a light attack
    • Next, you do a heavy attack
    • Finally, you use Force Palm up to three times if you can

Although one Force Palm is helpful, it is better to use all three because it will fill the boss’s stagger gauge. Remember that when Focus is active, you can continue to hold the LB or L1 button without stopping Focus. Therefore, even if the timing is slightly off, it is possible to counter the boss’s attack.

You can even heal when Focus is active because the slow time allows you to do it safely. The Force Palm is very helpful because it can stop some of the red attacks of the boss and fill the stagger gauge faster. When the boss is already staggered, it is better to immediately use your heavy attacks and then your finisher before resuming your Focus.

The boss may also be behind you. The camera may not turn quickly enough when Focus is active. In this case, it is better to continue pressing the LB or L1 button even if the boss is not seen clearly. It is possible to counter the attacks coming from the back if the timing is right.

    Antumbra’s Sword Attacks

Here are the attacks that Antumbras Sword will perform and how to counter them:

Triple Illusion Strike: The attack will start with Antumbras swinging his sword. Then, three illusions will appear and jump towards you consecutively, along with sword waves. The only way to counter this is to block Antumbras’s swing first, then dodge the three illusions as they land on the ground and perform sword waves.

Shadow Strike: When Antumbras releases mist and starts moving around, he is about to perform a quick slash. The only way to counter this is to carefully observe and look for the time that Antumbras’s sword is lifted behind him. Parry it at the right time to cancel it out.

Ground Thrust: When Antumbras grabs his sword with both hands and holds it up, he is about to thrust it towards you. The only way to counter this is to use Blinding Flash right away, as soon as Antumbras holds his sword with both hands.

Slashes: When Antumbras is glowing red and is about to perform an attack, it is not possible to parry it. The only way to counter this is to dodge through the slashes that Antumbras will perform.

Spectral Clone Flurry: The attack starts with a slash, followed by multiple consecutive attacks, and then clones. The only way to avoid this attack is to continue dodging until the combo finishes and then switch back to Focus mode to prepare for the attack.
