In Marathon, some contracts require you to complete special objectives in dangerous areas of the maps. One of these tasks asks players to use Chem Grenades to destroy lab equipment located under the AI Uplink. The objective is easy, but reaching the area can be risky because of traps, enemies, and other teams nearby. How to use Chem Grenades to destroy lab equipment
Go to the Maintenance to collect Chem Grenades. If you lose your grenades, then you can upgrade Mida, which unlocks the ability to purchase Chem Grenades from the store. Buying the upgrades will give you one free Chem Grenade. To complete the objective, you need two grenades.
How to Find AI Uplink
You will find a ladder behind the building, and this area has fewer enemies compared to the main entrance. Sometimes a team can spawn in the AI Uplink. If you spawn close to the AI Uplink at the start of the match, be careful, as there can be enemies nearby.
Once you are inside this area, watch carefully for claymore traps. Move slowly so you do not accidentally trigger them. When you reach the correct location under the AI Uplink, throw your Chem Grenades at the lab equipment. You will need two grenades to destroy the equipment and finish the objective successfully.
Once the equipment is destroyed, the mission will be completed, and you can continue your journey. Completing this objective will give you 420 MID reputation if you extract safely without getting killed.
Always bring extra chem grenades if you are not confident. Move carefully through the trap-filled maintenance area. Look for enemy teams spawning near AI Uplink.
