If you save Scum in Mewgenics, the game will try to stop you from saving it. You can save Scum a few times, but doing it multiple times will come with punishments. Outcome of Saving Scum Multiple Times

If you want to save Scum in Mewgenics, you have to force close the game during a battle. You can press “Alt + F4” or right-click the game icon on your taskbar and choose “Close Window.” Doing this shuts the game down before the fight finishes. When you reopen the game, it will load you back to the earlier point before the battle ended. It will give you another chance to retry the fight in the game.

First Save Scum

The first time you close the game mid-battle, you will get a surprise visit from Steven. He shows up right after you load back in and gives you a warning to stop doing it. There is no punishment yet, and you can retry the fight without any problem.

Second Save Scum

If you try it again, Steven will give a disorder to any of your one random cat. Each turn, that cat has a 10% chance for its action to fail. It lasts for the rest of your current run. The disorder disappears once you send your cat home. 

Third Save Scum 

The third time, Steven will put the disorder on every cat in your team. To remove the disorder of all the cats, send every cat to their homes before the fight gets too difficult to complete.

Fourth Save Scum

On the fourth attempt, Steven will take control of everything from you. All the battles are now controlled by the AI, and you will not get to make any decisions. The AI might win the fight, or your cats can die. If they die, you will lose the gear and progress. Trying to save Scum again will not fix anything, and if you abandon the game, the entire team will be gone.
