The “A Prime Specimen” quest is added to ARC Raiders as part of the Headwinds update that will have you completing challenging yet easy objectives. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know in order to reach the ARC Deforester and breach it to collect the loot inside without wasting any resources.
Quest Objective
“A Prime Specimen” is a brand new quest in ARC Raiders for the Headwinds update. You’ll get this quest from Shani, and it is fairly simple to complete. Your main objectives are to get two ARC Powercells, interact with any ARC Deforestor, and loot it. On successful completion of the quest, you will be rewarded with a Patrol Car Key and three Door Blockers.
How to Complete the Quest
First, you’ll need to obtain two ARC Powercells, which are easy items to acquire. You can get it easily by destroying ARCs like Wasps or Snitches. Then, what you’ll need to do is go on the Blue Gate map and head to the exact location marked on the image above, which is east of the Maintenance Bunker.
Once you reach the location and come across the ARC Deforester, you’ll see that there is a big pipe in front of it. Climb up using the pipe and interact with the first panel you’ll find inside the ARC Deforester using one of the ARC Powercells.
After the first interaction, you’ll see that a fire has appeared and is blocking your path to the second panel, but there’s nothing to worry about. Have patience and wait for some time so that the fire dies down, then move ahead and interact with the second panel using the second ARC Powercell.
Once this objective is complete, you’ll have to move towards completing the final objective for this quest. Exit the ARC Deforester, turn, and climb to the top and reach the area where you can interact and loot the Deforester.
Note: The fire will keep coming back, so be careful and time your moves accordingly.
