The Old Peace update introduces a new set of Arcanes to Warframe associated with a newly released post-quest activity. Unlocking the Arcanes requires some effort but is achievable via a new mode called Descendia that provides players with access to exclusive resources and a dedicated vendor for. In this guide, we will explain where these Arcanes come from, provide details on how to collect them efficiently, and outline everything you need to know.
Where Do the New Arcanes Come From

Once you finish The Old Peace quest, you’ll gain access to a new game mode called Descendia located within The Dark Refractory. This is the only way to obtain the new Arcanes resources.
When players complete Descendia missions, they earn the currency Maphica, which can be spent for Arcane purchases. Roathe, who sells items in exchange of this special currency can be found on Deimos in La Cathédrale which is accessible through the Sanctum Anatomica area.
Running Descendia missions rewards Maphica, a currency used specifically for Arcane purchases. These can be exchanged with Roathe, the vendor found in La Cathèdrale, an area accessed through the Sanctum Anatomica on Deimos.
Each Arcane costs five Maphica, and as with all Arcanes, you’ll need 21 copies of the same one to fully rank it and unlock its maximum effect. Other than Maphica, some Arcanes also need Ignia which is unique to Descendia. Thus you must consistently run the Descendia mode if you’re planning to stack up multiple Arcanes at full strength.
List of New Arcanes Added

Below is a breakdown of every Arcane introduced in the update:
Arcane Concentration
Casting an ability temporarily increases Ability Duration by 60% for three seconds.
Arcane Circumvent
Rolling through enemies steals half of their defensive stats, turning it into armor that lasts for 15 seconds.
Arcane Expertise
Any bonuses to Ability Strength are also applied to your maximum Shields.
Arcane Persistence
Removes Shields entirely. If your Armor exceeds 700, Health damage is capped at 500 per second. This limit applies only to Health (not Overguard) and is calculated after armor and other damage reductions take effect.
Primary Bulwark
Grants bonus damage based on Armor values above 1,000, scaling at 1% per point up to a maximum of 500%.
Primary Debilitate
When an enemy has 10 stacks of a combined Status Effect, applying that same effect again guarantees one of its base status effects.
Primary Overcharge
Maintaining at least 90% Energy converts 35% of your maximum Energy into Multishot, with a hard cap of 100%.
Secondary Irradiate
Hitting enemies affected by 10 Radiation stacks causes the attack to splash 180% of its damage to other enemies within a 7-meter radius.
Melee Careen
Deals 2.5× damage to Frozen enemies. Rolling triggers a freeze on enemies within 5.5 meters, with a two-second cooldown.
If you’re planning to fully rank any of these Arcanes, expect to spend a fair amount of time in Descendia. Between the Maphica costs, Ignia requirements, and the 21-copy rank system, this update clearly rewards consistent play rather than quick farming.
