If you’re in Where Winds Meet and want the “Old Timer Got It” achievement, you’ll be fighting with Elder Gongsun early on. He’s an important character tied to both the achievement. If you want to intentionally lose to unlock the achievement or actually want to beat him later, here’s everything you need to know in a clear and simple way.
How to Get the Old Timer Got it Achievement

“The Old Timer Got It” is an easy one to grab. All you need to do is let Elder Gongsun beat you during the early sparring session. Just don’t fight back, take the hits, and once he wins the duel, the achievement pops.
If you’re looking for Elder Gongsun, head over to the General’s Shrine in the Verdant Wilds. It’s tucked away on the northwest side of the area in the Qinghe region. Just make your way inside the shrine, and you’ll find him there.
How to defeat the Elder Gongsun

Elder Gongsun mainly fights using two combo strings, one that starts with a kick and another that opens with a Force Palm strike. No matter which one he uses, his combos always finish with a red attack, and that’s your best chance to parry and punish him for big damage. After he runs through a few normal attacks, he’ll mix in some special moves that keep you on your toes.
His Triple Toad Jump sends him leaping around three times before slamming the ground, so it’s safer to dodge the whole sequence rather than try to parry each jump. He also has a smoke-cloud move where he disappears into a gas puff and then charges straight at you. Stay clear of the cloud and be ready to parry the dash. And if he suddenly starts hopping between the poles, that’s his Pole Vault attack; listen closely to his audio cues so you can predict where he’ll land next.
