If you’re trying to power up Geralt as much as possible in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, finding every Place of Power is worth it. These glowing stones are scattered all across the world, and each one gives you a free skill point the first time you draw from it, along with a temporary boost to one of your magic signs. Since there are 30 Places of Power in total, finding them all not only makes Geralt stronger but also helps you unlock the Power Overwhelming achievement if you activate all five sign buffs at once. This guide will tell you every location.
All places of power
There are 30 Places of Power scattered across the world in The Witcher 3, and each one gives you something valuable. The first time you draw from a Place of Power, you earn an extra skill point, along with a temporary boost to one of your Witcher signs. If you manage to activate buffs for all five signs at once, you’ll unlock the Power Overwhelming achievement or trophy.
White Orchard
White Orchard is a small region and village in Temeria, known for its beautiful fruit orchards that bloom with white flowers every spring. The peaceful Ismena River runs right through the village and flows northward, adding to the calm, countryside feel of the place.
Igni Place of Power

Start at the Mill Signpost and walk straight north. You’ll eventually reach the White Orchard Cemetery. Right in front of the entrance to the Guarded Treasure area, you’ll spot the Igni Place of Power.
Aard Place of Power

If you keep going north past the Igni point again, starting from the Mill Signpost, you’ll come across another Place of Power. This one sits beside a Monster Nest, usually guarded by a group of Ghouls, so be ready for a fight before reaching the Aard Place of Power.
Quen Place of Power

On the far eastern side of White Orchard, cross the Cackler Bridge and continue onward. Not far from the path, you’ll find another Quen Place of Power. Like the previous one, it’s close to a Monster Nest and surrounded by Ghouls, so clear them out before activating it.
Axii Place of Power

From the Mill Signpost, head west and cross the small wooden bridge. Keep going into the forest, and you’ll spot the Axii Place of Power hidden among the trees. This one is usually guarded by a pack of Wolves.
Quen Place of Power

There’s another Quen Place of Power near the edge of the map. Simply travel south from the Broken Bridge, and you’ll see it hidden away along the border of the area.
Yrden Place of Power

Start at the Abandoned Village and walk east until you reach the Abandoned Site. From there, head straight south. A Bear will be guarding this Yrden Place of Power.
Velen
Velen was a province in northern Temeria, best known for the Aretuza Academy of Magic located near its main city, Gors Velen. But after the early stages of the Third Northern War tore through the region, the place was left ruined and largely abandoned. That’s when people started calling it No Man’s Land.
Quen Place of Power

If you travel to the Lornuk signpost and make your way down to the shore below the tower, you’ll find this Quen Place of Power. The area is full of Drowners, so be ready for a quick fight before drawing its bonus.
Yrden Place of Power

From the Downwarren signpost, head west toward the tall mountain in the distance. Climb all the way to the top, and you’ll discover the Yrden Place of Power overlooking the region.
Igni Place of Power

Southeast of the Orphans of Crookback Bog lies another Igni Place of Power. You can reach it easily from the Ancient Oak signpost.
Quen Place of Power

There is another Quen Place of Power on Bald Mountain, but you can only reach it during the main quest Bald Mountain, right before your fight with Imrelith.
Aard Place of Power

If you head south of Fyke Isle, you’ll eventually reach a guarded treasure spot in the swamp. Here, you’ll find the Aard Place of Power, protected by a gargoyle. Defeat it, and the power is yours.
Yrden Place of Power

Another Yrden Place of Power is hidden inside a cave that you can only access during the quest Wandering in the Dark with Keira Metz. The cave entrance sits directly west of Fyke Isle, near a small boat at the shore.
Novigrad
Novigrad is a free city that sits inside Redania’s borders, but it doesn’t actually follow Redania’s laws. It runs on its own. It’s also one of the biggest port cities on the entire continent, home to almost 30,000 people, which makes it one of the largest and busiest cities in the North.
Igni Place of Power

From the Electors’ Square signpost, head toward the northwest edge of Novigrad. Near the temple in that area, you’ll find the Igni Place of Power hidden away and easy to spot once you get close.
Axii Place of Power

Starting at the Vegelbud Residence signpost, travel north until you reach the tall rock formations. Climb up to the top, and you’ll discover the Axii Place of Power waiting there.
Skellige Isles
Skellige is a group of six islands and one of the Northern Kingdoms. The archipelago sits out in the Great Sea, just off the coast of Cintra and southwest of Cidaris and Verden. The place is legendary, known for its fearless warriors, skilled sailors, and longships that can outrun almost anything on the water.
Quen Place of Power

From the Yngvar’s Fang signpost, make your way up to the very top of the mountain in the northeast corner of the Skellige Isles. At the peak, you’ll find the Quen Place of Power overlooking the sea.
Igni Place of Power

Travel to the Ancient Crypt signpost and head inside. In the room with the huge hooded statue holding a shield, you’ll discover the Igni Place of Power glowing just behind it.
Quen Place of Power

If you choose to help Cerys during the King’s Gambit secondary quest, you can access a hidden lower section of Kaer Trolde Castle. Down there, you’ll find another Quen Place of Power waiting for you.
Igni Place of Power

Start at the Svorlag signpost and head northwest toward the broken-down house on the hillside. Follow the mountain path upward until you reach the summit. The Igni Place of Power sits right at the top.
Axii Place of Power

From the Crossroads signpost, travel southwest until you reach the shoreline with a wrecked boat. The Axii Place of Power is right there along the water’s edge.
Aard Place of Power

Leaving the Redgill signpost, head north until you spot some old ruins guarded by a Cyclops. Defeat the giant, then climb up the wooden platforms to the top of the structure. You’ll find the Aard Place of Power.
Yrden Place of Power

From the Druid Camp, simply walk west across the open terrain. You’ll see the Yrden Place of Power standing out in the field.
Axii Place of Power

From Holmstein’s Port, head straight north into the snowy mountains. Keep climbing upward, and you’ll eventually come across the Axii Place of Power among the icy rocks.
Yrdenni Place of Power

Start at Harviken and follow the path leading west. Stay on the trail that runs beside the Skelligs’ grotto, and you’ll easily spot the Yrden Place of Power along the way.
Kaer Morhen
Kaer Morhen is an ancient fortress where witchers from the School of the Wolf were once trained. It sits deep in the Blue Mountains of Kaedwen, near the Gwenllech River. The name comes from an old Elder Speech phrase, but over time, it changed into the version we know today.
Igni Place of Power

From the Lakeside Hut signpost in Kaer Morhen, head straight north. Walk past the lake where Nekkers usually roam, and keep going until you reach the entrance of the northern cave. Right near that cave entrance, you’ll find the Igni Place of Power waiting for you.
Through Time and Space
“Through Time and Space” is a main quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and it’s one of the four missions you need to finish for the “Final Preparations” storyline. To begin this quest, simply speak with Avallac’h and tell him what happened on Bald Mountain.
Aard Place of Power

You can only reach this Aard Place of Power during the quest “Through Time and Space.” After you and Avallac’h step through the portal in the desert world, you’ll find it in the next area you explore. This location isn’t accessible outside the quest, so make sure to grab it while you’re there.
Toussaint
Toussaint is a small duchy that technically belongs to the Nilfgaardian Empire, but it mostly runs itself. The region is best known for its amazing wines, thanks to its rich volcanic soil and perfect mix of sunshine and rain. Toussaint doesn’t keep a big army; instead, it depends on wandering knights who patrol the borders and roads, along with the loyal Ducal Guard who protect the duchy.
Quen Place of Power

Start at the Teremes Palace Ruins signpost and walk north toward the crumbling ruins. Stick to the left side of the structure, and you’ll notice a small opening partly hidden behind flowing waterfalls. Head inside the room and use Aard to break the weak wall. Behind it, you’ll find the Quen Place of Power.
Igni Place of Power

From the Fort Ussar Ruins, travel south until you spot a cave icon on your mini-map. Move toward the cliff edge and drop down to reach the cave entrance below. Inside, you’ll be able to draw power from the Igni Place of Power.
Aard Place of Power

Make your way northwest from Hortense Vineyard until you reach a small boat sitting by the shoreline. Look to your left, toward the water, and you’ll see a short cliff. Climb toward it, and the Aard Place of Power will be right there above the rocks.
Yrden Place of Power

From the Trading Post signpost, head straight north, passing the nearby Hanse Base. Keep going until the land turns into a swamp surrounded by old stone walls. The Yrden Place of Power sits in the middle of this area, but be prepared, many enemies lurk here, so you’ll likely need to clear them out first.
Axii Place of Power

Starting from Beauclair Palace, go northwest toward the Monster Nest located near the Abandoned Site. As soon as you get close, the Father Knows Worst secondary quest will automatically begin, and you’ll have to deal with a group of Kikimores. After defeating them, enter the Monster Nest and use Aard to break the collapsible wall on your left. Behind it lies the final Axii Place of Power in Toussaint.
