You can unlock skills in Where Winds Meet by completing quests, finding hidden items, talking to NPCs, or doing mini-games. Many skills come from Skill Theft mini-games, side quests, or interacting with special objects in the world, such as bells, chests, or scrolls. Some require you to visit certain regions like Kaifeng or Qinghe, fight bosses, or solve puzzles inside dungeons. In this guide, we will show you how to unlock every skill in Where Winds Meet.
How to Unlock All Skills
Skills are special abilities that help you both in combat and while exploring the world. They let you plan smart attacks and also solve different puzzles or challenges you run into. Some skills are made for combat, while others focus on movement and exploration. Here is how you can unlock all the skills in Where Winds Meet.
Leaping Toad

To get the Leaping Toad Mystic Skill, head to the southwest exit of the General’s Shrine. You’ll spot a man hopping around like a toad, go up and talk to him. He’ll tell you to watch the toad beside him, which starts a Skill Theft mini-game. Complete that little challenge, and you’ll earn the Leaping Toad skill for yourself.
Leaping Toad is an offensive Mystic Skill that lets you flip into enemies, knock them back, and hit them hard before moving away. You can use it three times in a row; each recast builds up Toad Venom on your target. On the third use, the move turns into Golden Toad Crash, a big area-smash that knocks enemies to the ground.
Cloud Steps

The Cloud Steps ability will be unlocked during the Echoes in the Shrine quest. While the tutorial is guiding you to the General’s Shrine, try to find the little dungeon that is hidden beneath the shrine. To access it, go to the location of the child and the dog, jump up and slam down on the wooden boards beneath them. This will break the floor and open the entrance.

Once you’re inside, start making your way through the dungeon. Use your fire arrows to burn away any branches blocking your path. Keep going until you reach a long staircase leading downward. At the bottom, you will spot a corpse sitting against the wall. By interacting with the corpse, you will receive the Cloud Steps skill as a reward.
Lions Roar
To get the Lion’s Roar skill, all you have to do is interact with the copper bells scattered around Qinghe. The first bell is very easy to spot; it’s located in the General’s Shrine area, which is the very first town you visit in the game. Just make sure you activate all the bells you come across, and you will unlock the skill. Lion’s Roar is a very useful ability, especially in PvP.
Lion’s Roar also gives you extra defence, which makes it helpful when running the Stonesplit Path or when you’re playing solo and want to reduce the amount of damage you take. To unlock the Lion’s Roar Mystic Skill, all you need to do is find and interact with four bells scattered around the map. Here are the locations of all the bells.
First bell

The first bell is right near the starting area of the main story, at the General Shrine. Reach the location marked on the map above, and you will find a statue here. From the statue, take a left to reach the first bell.
Second bell

The second bell is also close by, still near the General Shrine, just a bit further west. The exact location is marked on the map above.
Third bell

The third bell is in the northeast part of the map. Head towards the Buddha Fort. You will find the bell just right of the Buddha Fort.
Fourth bell

The fourth bell is located southwest of Moon Veil Mountain. After you interact with all four bells, the Lion’s Roar skill will unlock automatically.
Drunken Poet

To unlock the Drunken Poet skill, all you really need to do is get your character extremely, ridiculously drunk. Start by visiting the Honest Merchant. You’ll first meet him in Blissful Retreat, and later, he’ll move to Harvestfall Village as the story goes on. Buy a bunch of wine from his shop; the amount you’ll need is random.

Once you have them, start drinking the wines one after another without taking long pauses. You’ll notice the intoxication effects building up. Keep going until you hit the heavy debuff stage “Wasted,”. The moment you reach that severe level for the very first time, the Drunken Poet skill will unlock. After that, your character is going to be in pretty bad shape, so head over to the Evercare Clinic. Talk to the healer there, and they’ll cleanse the debuff immediately.
Talon Strike

In order to get the Talon Strike skill, it is necessary to see the Diving Bird at the Palace of Annals first. First, go south from the Palace and pass over the long suspension bridge, which takes you to a tall, rock pillar. Watch out for the enemy archers here; take them out so you can safely make your way across.

After you have crossed over, turn towards the west and move down to a lower ledge. A bird nest will be waiting for you there. Initiate a Skill Theft mini-game by clicking on it. Your task is to hit the button at the right moment when the bird goes down and comes up. If you pass the mini-game, you will “watch” the falcon, and this will give you access to the Talon Strike skill.
Guardian Palm
The Guardian Palms mystic skill allows you to release two mighty palm hits in a straight line. It is a useful ability in combat. It is also one of the easiest mystic skills to unlock in the game. You will unlock the skill by finishing the Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept side quest. This quest is situated in the northern region of Qinghe. After you have reached the northern part of the map, go to the shore at the north of the location. After completing the quest, you will get the Guardian Palms mystic skill as a reward.

The Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept quest will start by having a conversation with the Wayfarer of Sundara Lands. Then talk to the monk who is murmuring just next to the Wayfarer. The monk will request you to help him in performing some rituals: lighting the incense stick, offering it, and throwing the ashes off the cliff. After that, follow him as he joins a quiet procession walking through a narrow corridor toward the temple.

Once you arrive at the entrance, you will find the spirits of a devotee and his child. After that, you will keep on walking together with the group until a fire starts on the road. Set down the lantern, go back, and talk with the monk once more. He will head into the fire, and you will have to follow him. Move on and go through the fire with the spirits.

After you have gone through the other side, have a conversation with the monk. He will point you in the direction of the memorial tablet, and the spirits will show you the way. Move together with them until you get to that point. Then you need to light the tablet. The monk will share a few thoughts about the souls finally finding peace, and the quest will be completed.
Flaming Meteor
To get the Flaming Meteor Mystic Skill, you first need to finish the Lost Chapter quest in the northern area called The Bodhi Sea. In this quest, your main job is to find and activate three drums hidden in the fog.

Click on the images to enlarge
Start from the north side of the area and follow the path shown in the gameplay. You can also track the drums by following the sound icons that pop up, which point you toward the next drum. Each drum is guarded by enemies. Just be careful, these enemies revive for a short time even after you beat them.

Once all three drums are activated, head back to the central temple and talk to the NPC. They will teleport you into an illusion world. Follow the main path until you reach the end, where you will fight a boss named Yay Wanchan. Defeat him, and you will be sent back to the real world. From now on, you can hit the drum again to re-enter the illusion and fight the boss as many times as you want.

When you go back in for the second fight, you will notice a white eye icon next to the boss’s health bar. To learn the skill, you need to fill the meter around that eye. The only way to fill it is to parry the boss’s jump attack perfectly. Each successful parry gives you a short counterattack animation and fills the meter a bit. Keep parrying this move until the meter is full, then defeat the boss. After the fight, you will unlock the Flaming Meteor Mystic Skill.
Golden Body

To unlock the Golden Body skill, head over to the Grand Imperial Temple in Kaifeng during the morning. Go to the northeast corner of the temple grounds and look for Shi Yi, a young monk practising in the garden. Use Celestial Seize on him, and you’ll have a good chance of getting the Golden Body Scroll, which unlocks the Mystic Skill.
Ghost Bind

To get the Ghostbind Mystic skill in Where Winds Meet, head to the southeast part of Kaifeng City. As you walk toward the alley, the Unwanted Hospitality quest should automatically appear.

Go through the alley, and an NPC will throw a rock at you to start the quest. Talk to the NPC in the window, and he will ask you to deal with three people standing on the other side of the building.

Just walk up to them and press R2 to use the Ghostbind ability, which will freeze all three of them in place. After that, a short cutscene will play where you also get paralysed, and the side quest will end. Once it’s over, you will receive the Ghostbind Mystic skill as your reward.
Bug in Ghost Bind Skill
Some players have reported that this side quest doesn’t show up for them, even after trying different things. If it doesn’t appear for you, try fast-travelling to the entrance of the town or restarting the game. Then, approach the alley from the side where you can already see the three NPCs standing outside before you walk in.

You can find this skill inside a chest in the Ghost Light Market. To get there, go to the exploration event at the coffin shop in the southeastern part of Kiang City. You will see a coffin you can interact with. You need to lie inside the coffin and it will teleport you straight to the Ghost Light Market.

When you arrive, leave the first cave you spawn in, then turn around and climb up to the hidden cave above the entrance. Walk a short distance inside, and you will find a chest on the left side. That’s where the Wolflike Frenzy mystic skill is stored.

The Wolflike Frenzy skill lets you channel power into your staff to knock an enemy down, follow up with fast hits, and finish with an upward strike. It works especially well against cavalry and enemies who don’t have strong poise.
Ghostly Steps

You can unlock Ghostly Steps by opening the final reward chest inside the Cloudwalk Spire Divinecraft Dungeon. You will find this dungeon to the east of Ghostlight Market, hidden away in the mountaintop caves.

Once you head inside, just make your way through the dungeon and keep an eye out for the treasure chests. There are seven chests in total. If you are having trouble spotting them, turn on Wind Sense to highlight where they are. When you finally reach the seventh and last chest, open it to get the Mystic Skill Scroll for Ghostly Steps. After that, simply equip the scroll to learn the skill and then use it.
Dragon’s Breath

To get the Dragon’s Breath mystic skill, go to the fairground tower in Kiang City. Inside, talk to the two NPCs on the left. Partway through the conversation, one of them will run away.

After that, fast-travel back to the entrance of Kiang City to reset the area. Then head to the rooftop shown on the map. Once you arrive, wait until 11:00 a.m. the next day. When the time changes, the NPC who ran off should appear in front of you. Use the Celestial Seize skill to pickpocket the book he is carrying. If you’ve already reached Kiang City in the main story, you should automatically have this skill.
Steal the book without getting caught, then return it to the other NPC at the tower. When you hand over the book, the mini quest will finish. Now, to get the Dragon’s Breath skill, you need to open your journal. Then go to the Wandering Tales section, and claim the reward for “The Fairgrounds Part 9.” One of the rewards is the Dragon’s Breath Mystic Skill.
Some players complete the quest to get the skill but forget to press Start to actually claim it, so the skill never shows up. If this happens to you, just open your journal and accept the rewards. If you’ve already done that, check your gear and read the document you received. If you forget to accept the reward, you will be stuck wondering where the skill is.
Glow of Fireflies

To unlock the Glow of Fireflies skill, you have to collect five fireflies. The fastest and easiest way to collect them is to teleport to the Crimson Cliff fast-travel point and walk a little northwest. Behind the cat, you will see some flowers with fireflies floating around them. Just walk up to the glowing flowers and collect the fireflies using the interact button.
Each firefly fills part of your proficiency bar, and picking up five of them will unlock the Glow of Fireflies skill right away. Just pick up all the fireflies using the R2 button. Keep picking up the fireflies until your proficiency bar fills up. Once it is full, the Glow of Fireflies skill will unlock. This skill makes fireflies circle around you, giving you light so you can see better in dark places like caves.
Celestial Seize
Celestial Seize is a useful ability in the game that lets you pull an enemy’s weapon away and hit them with it during fights. You will also need it for several quests, special locked chests, dangerous area chests, and different puzzles throughout the game. Plus, when you use it together with Windsense, you can easily steal items from NPCs without getting caught. You can unlock this ability early in the game. You can obtain the Nullifying Pill using Celestial Seize by completing the Foul Play Quest.

Start by travelling to Haven’s Spear. Inside this town, you will find different side quests by talking to people. The one you need is Foul Play. Mark it on your map and head to the location. When you arrive, you will see a group of people taking part in a drinking contest. Nearby, there’s a man you can talk to who will start the quest.

During Foul Play, you will discover that the contest host is cheating. You must steal his potion (Nullifying Pill) using the Celestial Seize ability. When the game prompts you, press the required buttons (R2 + Square on PlayStation). After you steal the potion, continue with the quest.

Then, speak to the contest host again. Now that he doesn’t have his cheating potion, you can challenge him fairly. Start the drinking contest, watch the cutscene, and finish the event. Once it’s over, talk to the character again. This will permanently unlock the Celestial Seize ability. You can equip it anytime by opening your abilities menu.
Meridian Touch

To unlock Meridian Touch, speak to the Wayfarer of Verdant Wilds. The quest marker will lead you to Qinghe, which is in the Heaven’s Pier and Stonewash Strand region on the northwest side of Verdant Wilds.

Head over to Moonveil Mountain. When you get there, look around until you find Yan Qiren. As you walk up to him, you will notice he’s completely frozen in place, almost like a statue. Finish the dialogues and use a special ability. The controls change depending on what platform you’re playing on. You will only have Meridian Touch temporarily for this quest; if you leave without finishing it, the ability goes away.
On the console, you can use Meridian Touch by holding R2 and pressing Square. You will get three options here: Overjoy, Itchy, and Immobilise. For this step, choose Immobilise. The other options aren’t pointless. You will need them later for different puzzles in future quests.
Meridian Touch Quest Bug
Sometimes, when you press the buttons to unseal Yan Qiren’s acupoint, nothing happens. This part of the quest can bug out. If you run into this issue, simply close the game and restart it. After that, it usually works properly.
Veil of Stillness

The first requirement for getting the Veil of Stillness skill is to reach level 8. Then go to the southeast part of Moonveil Peak, where you will meet Qiu Yuehai. By speaking to him, you will start the Skill Theft quest. Next, take cover behind the large rock, which is present between him and the master; this will start the mini-game. In the mini-game, you only have to hit the right key at the right moment to get the skill while being hidden behind the rock. Finish it and you will get the Veil of Stillness Mystic Skill.
Seasonal Edge

Seasonal Edge is an attack buff that increases damage. All you have to do is go to the Fairgrounds in Kaifeng to get it. Go inside the calligraphy shop, and inside you will find the shop owner. Talk with him and choose the second option, “Ask about a special treasure,” to buy the pages from him.

Following that, select “Let me take a look.” You need to purchase the 10 Seasonal Edge: Page. They cost 5000 Echo Jade in total, so you might have to farm a bit depending on how much you have. Once you have bought the 10 pages, go to the ‘Inner Way’ menu, then to ‘Comprehend the Clue.’ It will show the Seasonal Edge pages you collected. Just comprehend them, and you will unlock the skill.
Meteor Flight

To unlock the Meteor Flight, visit the pond location in the first Region and find the fisherman character. Normally, you’d encounter him during the initial main quest or side quests, so the game quite often guides you to him. Have a conversation with him to get wind of walking fundamental concepts and at the same time, start his mini-test.

The test consists of a basic platforming challenge. To get through the pots, you will have to use your double or triple jump and jump across the gaps. It’s very important to land on the pots in the correct order. If you happen to fall, no need to worry, you will come back to the last pot you were on. After completing the jumps, take the booklet that the quest provides you and read it. When you have done the trial and read the booklet, you will be able to use Meteor Flight. It is a very simple skill of aerial movement which allows one to float and glide for some time.
How to Unlock Meteor Flight Fully in a Region
Currently, you can use the Meteor Flight; however, if you jump from a considerable height, you will receive fall damage. To get full access to a damage-free flight, you need to progress further in the region. Your goal is to reach Regional Progress Level 4, which requires 4,000 Discovery Points. These points can be collected just by discovering the region, finishing blue book quests, activating fast-travel points, collecting curiosities, clearing out enemy camps, and even killing hidden world bosses. Your total Discovery score will increase with almost everything you do.
After you score 4,000 points, an item named Afterglow Pendant will be given to you. Go back to the fisherman who gave you the pendant and hand it over to him. He will then allow you to use the Meteor Flight for that area, thus allowing you to glide and fly without the worry of fall damage. Keep in mind that this upgrade works only in the region where you earned it. When you move to a new region, you will need to reach Level 4 exploration there as well to unlock Meteor Flight again.
Panacea Fan
The Panacea Fan is a special Martial Arts weapon designed mainly for support. The fan can easily heal or revive a character, which is very suitable for co-op or team-based gaming. It does not inflict much damage; however, it is a great tool to maintain a safe distance and help the team survive rather than taking part in the fighting on the front lines.

To get the Panacea Fan, first, visit the Silver Needle Sanctum located at the northeastern edge of the central Qinghe. Inside, you will come across a hidden passage that requires a Dragon Key to open. The key gets consumed when used, but you can earn one from your first World Level Breakthrough or by clearing certain Outposts for the first time. When you have a key, interact with the Loong Dragon Pillar to continue your journey.
The First Area

Inside the first area, wait until the very first militiaman turns to look toward the right. As soon as he does, move across the room and stay close to the left wall. This allows you to be out of another guard’s sight. Climb the bridge ahead, then drop down to the stone ledge on the left. This raised spot sits safely between the patrolling guard on the left and the two guards near the door. The moment the three guards turn their heads, run directly to the next area.
The Second Area

In the next area, watch the militiaman walking across the wooden bridge. Look down at the floor below. Once the guard below you starts to walk towards the right, go down and use the ladder that is in front of you. Make a right turn from there, and you will reach the Sect Master.

Apply Skills Theft on him in order to get the skill. You will then have two options to leave: either surrender to the enemies and get reset outside, or go down and take the same route you came from. Just like before, stick close to the wall to stay out of sight, then run past the scout to safely leave the dungeon.
Mortal Rope Dart
Mortal Rope Dart is a Martial Arts weapon in Where Winds Meet. It combines long-range and close-range attacks, which means you get a flexible fighting style. For example, you can hit from afar with whip-like swings, off-balance your enemies, and then easily change to follow-up hits.

First, visit the Martial Hall. At first, you will be unable to enter, so talk to the elder who is sitting nearby, and he will tell you how to get in. Then, you have to talk with Wuyan. Doing this will start the quest that teaches you the Disguise technique. Use Wild Sense to examine his things and locate the Jade Sachet that is required for the quest.
Next, visit Fang Wenxiu’s store and give her the painting. Return to Wuyan so that he can make you look like Fang Wenxiu. Afterwards, go and talk to Qiao Shanlang and request him for the Jade Sachet to finish this quest. This allows you to access the disguise system, which is useful while trying to get past the guards into the Martial Hall. You should again approach the elder outside and ask him for the infiltration plan. Then, go over to Muddle, who is having a drink close by, and take his portrait.

Once you finish drawing the portrait, follow the map to the icon that looks like a mask; that’s the disguise shop. Talk to the shop owner and pick the disguise you need. Since you now have Muddle’s description, you will be able to use it and move forward with the quest. Inside, speak to the person behind the counter and choose the option to put on a disguise. Select Muddle from the list so you’re wearing the correct one.
Enter the inner sanctum. A student will stop you and tell you that you need a Core Disciple’s Token. Go to the right side of the Martial Hall and find the kitchen. Use Wild Sense again to see that the cook has the token, then simply request it from him.
Once you have the token, talk to Elder Tian in the main hall. Then return to the instructor’s spot and use Art Theft to learn the Mortal Rope Dart martial art. Finally, speak with Ni Laoshan at the back of the Martial Hall to complete the questline.
Serene Breeze

You can unlock Serene Breeze from the Talent Tree by picking its node in the Basic section. It only costs one Talent Point, so you can get it very early in the game. You earn Talent Points naturally as you play by gaining Enlightenment Points.
Serene Breeze lets you gather Qi to clear your body’s blocked veins, and the best part is that you can use it even while you’re being attacked or stunned. When it hits an enemy, it slows their Endurance recovery by 50% and deals damage for 8 seconds. This makes it especially useful for breaking out of control effects and draining an enemy’s Endurance so you can land a strong finishing blow.
Soaring Spin

Soaring Spin is hidden inside a secret temple in Kaifeng, the game’s second major region. To reach Kaifeng, you need to be level 32 and finish the first chapter. Once you are in Kaifeng, head to the southern end of the map. At the very end of the river south of Kaifeng City, you will find a small pond with a Boundary Stone.

Face the waterfalls there, then turn around to spot a cave on the other side. Go inside, listen in on the guards, take them out, and fight your way up through the cave until you reach a small stronghold. In the main hall, climb the ladder to find a gilded chest that holds two keys.

With the keys in hand, head east to Dreamfall Cliff, just past the Martial Temple. Clear the enemies at the outpost, defeat the boss to get the key for the secret door, then find the storage shed to the south. Inside is a hidden entrance to another underground tunnel. Follow the linear path, fight through the soldiers, and you will reach a golden door. Shoot the bell nearby, then use Meridian Touch to open it.

Beyond the door is a Boundary Stone, and past that is the Secret Edict Chamber, a large temple filled with statues and enemies. Your goal is to reach the top of the massive asura statue in the centre. Climb the beams and smaller statues around the room, clearing enemies on the balconies or using Veil of Stillness to avoid getting shot. Once you’re high enough, jump onto the statue’s head, turn around, and use Celestial Seize to grab the chest above you. Inside, you will finally find Soaring Spin, along with a few extra rewards.
Tai Chi

To unlock the Tai Chi skill in Where Winds Meet, you need to finish the quest called “A Bear of a Task.” While exploring, you will find a bear trying to reach a beehive. Watch it closely to trigger a Timing Comprehension mini-game. Complete the mini-game successfully, and you will receive the Tai Chi Mystic Skill. Tai Chi is handy for a few things: it deals extra damage to bears, it can disarm enemies holding shields (though you might need to use it more than once), and it’s also useful for solving Leaf Swirl puzzles.
Free Morph

Start the Campaign Mission in the Bodhi Sea area. Here, you will need to activate three hidden drums by listening for their sound clues. After that, defeat Ye Wanshan to get the first half of the Buddhist Light Jade. Then head to the Palace of Annals and finish the next campaign mission. Follow the steps, defeat the final boss, and you will receive the second half of the Buddhist Light Jade.

This mission takes you to a tall tower at Halo Peak. Climb to the top and wait for the Wu Hour (12:00). Only at this time can you place both jade halves on the altar. Doing so opens the door at the base of the tower. Go inside, check the investigation point on the right to open the floor, and drop down into the underground area.
Puzzle Room 1 – Rotating the Statue

Use Meridian Touch to rotate the statue until its light beam lines up with the hole in the wall. This unlocks the path forward.
Puzzle Room 2 – Guiding the Light

Click on the images to enlarge
In the next room, use Meridian Touch again to rotate the statues and match the required pattern. Guide the light to the correct point to open the way. After crawling under the debris, the floor will collapse and drop you into a lower room. Inspecting a corpse here triggers an ambush from three enemies; defeat them. Continue until the path splits and take the left route. You will face another group of enemies in the following chamber.

In the next large room, activate the Hero’s Tomb on the left to set a respawn point. Then begin descending the huge hollow tower. You will cross thin beams and ropes. Near the bottom, a platform will collapse, and you will need to move quickly to avoid falling rocks and blocked paths.

At the bottom, activate the fast travel point, then rotate the final statue using Meridian Touch to aim the light at the exit door. Past this door is a secret boss, one of the hardest fights in the early game. But defeating this boss only unlocks Yaksha Rush, not Free Morph.

To get Free Morph, return to the red umbrella and fight the boss again. Finish Stage 1 as usual. In Stage 2, you will see a new Eye Icon next to the boss’s HP bar. Fill this Eye Meter before ending the fight. Once it’s full, defeat the boss. This time, you will finally unlock the Free Morph Mystic Skill.
Vernal Umbrella
If you didn’t choose the Vernal Umbrella as an early reward from Qi Cheng, you can still unlock it later by visiting the Temporal Pavilion in Kaifeng. This method doesn’t require stealth; instead, you will complete a short investigation inside the pavilion.

Start by talking to Wang Ping’an, the young page boy standing at the entrance. Then head inside and go up to the third floor, where you will meet Jiang Ting’er. She won’t let you enter the private banquet upstairs unless you bring her a keepsake. To get it, you will need to gather a series of clues scattered around the pavilion.

Begin searching by checking the guard outside the warehouse as you walk back down the stairs. After that, leave the building, go left around the compound, and you will find a tabby cat. Pet the cat, then walk to the nearby building and eavesdrop on two women playing a game.
Next, climb back up to the third floor, head to the back of the banquet hall, and listen to the two women talking near the window. Finally, return to the ground floor and overhear the two women chatting beside the screen.

Once you’ve collected all the clues, you can start making deductions. These deductions will guide you to the warehouse key’s location. Use the Heavenly Snatch ability to steal the key, unlock the warehouse, and collect the keepsake, a Bramble Rose Hairpin. Bring this hairpin back to Jiang Ting’er so she will let you into the banquet.
Inside the banquet hall, watch Hua Zhiqing, the Flower Messenger, as she performs. When the right moment comes, use Skill Theft to quietly steal the Vernal Umbrella without anyone noticing.
Soulshade Umbrella

You can get the Soulshade Umbrella Martial Art by sneaking deep into the Soulshade Umbrella – Post Station. This location is in the Kaifeng region, and you can only enter it after completing the main story quest “Heaven Has No Pier.” Once the area becomes accessible, head to the post station to begin your infiltration.

Start by entering the house on the left side of the station’s entrance and climb up to the roof. From there, quietly take down the patrolling guards so you can reach the main path safely. Follow the path forward, defeating enemies and opening any chests you come across. Eventually, you will reach a pool with a chest inside it; make sure to grab it.

Next, climb the overgrown branches nearby to reach the upper floor. Loot the chest on this level, then use the ladder to drop down into the house. Take the stairs to the lower floor, where you will find a ladder hidden inside a coffin. This leads you into a secret underground area.
Move forward and eliminate all the guards you encounter. Keep going until you reach a section filled with hanging coffins. Climb down first, defeat the guards below, and collect another chest. After that, use the coffins as platforms to climb up to higher levels and grab another chest waiting there.

Once you have collected the final chest, enter the torch-lit corridor ahead. Inside, you will find the Master. Use Skill Theft on him, and you will successfully unlock the Soulshade Umbrella Martial Art.
Stormbreaker Spear

The Stormbreaker Spear is a Martial Arts Weapon in Where Winds Meet that’s perfect for players who like to take hits and stay standing. It gives you several shield effects and damage-reduction perks, making you much tougher in battle. Because of its slower movement and straightforward playstyle, it’s very easy to understand and use. While it isn’t focused on serious damage by default, it can still hit surprisingly hard when used correctly.
You will receive the Stormbreaker Spear early in the game, right after completing one of the first quests and visiting General Wang. The weapon will be sent to you through in-game mail. Make sure to open your inbox and claim “Raging Tides General’s Gift.” To check your mail, open the Main Menu (ESC) and click the “Letter” icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
Strategic Sword

You can get the Strategic Sword by using Skill Theft on the master who trains inside its Sanctum. This particular Sanctum is located at the southern end of Qinghe, close to the Back Mountain Boundary Stone. Once you reach the area, you just need to enter the Sanctum to begin.

To open the Strategic Sword Sanctum, you will need a Dragon Key. You can get these by clearing Outposts, or you will naturally earn a few as you progress through the main story and level up. Just head to any Outpost in Qinghe, clear it for the first time, and you will receive a Dragon Key.

When you reach the Sanctum entrance, place the Dragon Key on the stone pedestal to unlock the door. Inside, the area is quite small, and getting to the master is quick and easy. If you already have the Touch of Death skill from the Echoes of Old Battles quest, you can quietly take out the patrolling guards to make the path even smoother.

The chests inside the Sanctum only contain Echo Jades and basic resources, so you can skip them if you don’t need those extras. Once you complete the Skill Theft minigame on the master, you will unlock the Strategic Sword martial art. After that, you can leave the Sanctum freely.
You can use the Strategic Sword style with any sword you already own, but to get the most damage early on, it helps to equip the 4-piece Hawkwing Set, which can be farmed at the Outpost on the western side of Qinghe. To boost your damage even further, pick up the Sword Horizon Inner Way from the antique bookshop owner in Ghostlight Market. You can reach this place easily by doing a side quest from an elder villager at Riverside Station in southwestern Qinghe.
Bitter Seasons

To unlock Bitter Seasons, you need to complete the optional Lost Chapter story found in the Qinghe region. Start by opening your Journal, going to the Campaigns tab, and selecting Gleaming Abyss. This will give you a clue that leads you to Moonveil Mountain in southwest Qinghe. Once you arrive, you will need to imitate the statue in Wraith Village to reveal a hidden area.

After entering the secret zone, your first task is to track a deer using Wind Sense. Once that’s done, you will need to use Meridian Touch to help hold poses for the villagers, which then grants you access to the hidden shrine. Inside the shrine, you must search three different paths and collect three spirits.

When you’ve gathered all the spirits, head back to the central stone coffin and defeat the waves of enemies that appear. After that, continue exploring to find more spirits and enemies. Eventually, you will reach the final challenge: a battle against the Void King.

Once you defeat the Void King, collect the rewards he drops. The Bitter Seasons Tome is located in a secret room at the back of the boss arena. Be sure to enter the hidden area and loot it before leaving.
Fivefold Bleed

To unlock Fivefold Bleed, you need to collect its tome in Kaifeng, the second major region in the game. You can only reach Kaifeng after completing all of Chapter 1 and reaching at least Level 32. Once you arrive in the city, head to the Grand Imperial Temple, which is located to the right of the main gate. Here, you will find the A Faltering Flame Exploration Quest. Completing this quest rewards you with Fivefold Bleed.
Your job is to help the monk in the temple find his missing disciples and align their lamps inside the Grand Temple. The game guides you through every step, but there’s one important thing to remember: you can only interact with one disciple per in-game day. If you want to finish the quest quickly, you can speed up time by clicking the Clock icon in the menu.
First, talk to the Lamp-lighting Monk. Then step outside and find Benevolent Li. After returning to the monk, you will play a short minigame where you move the glowing lamp into the glowing empty spot on the board. When you’re done, wait for the next in-game day. Repeat this process with each disciple until the quest is fully completed.
Once you have the time, you will unlock Fivefold Bleed, a general Inner Art that works with every weapon and martial art style. When equipped, your attacks have a 10% chance to apply Weeping Blood, a damage-over-time effect that can stack up to five times. Each stack adds a bit of extra damage, and when all five stacks are reached, they explode for a burst of bonus damage.
Weeping Blood is separate from other bleed effects, such as the one from Strategic Sword, which means both DoT effects can stack together. It also benefits from damage-over-time boosts like the one on Heavenquaker Spear.
While Fivefold Bleed isn’t the strongest Inner Art in the game, it’s a solid early-game option, especially if you don’t yet have better choices like Morale Chant. It works particularly well with fast-hitting weapons such as the Infernal Twinblades, since their quick attacks apply stacks more consistently.
Dragon Head

To unlock the Dragon Head Mystic Skill, you will need to learn 35 other Mystic Arts first. Once you’ve collected enough of them, this powerful technique becomes available automatically. When you use Dragon Head, your character gathers up dust and fallen leaves from around you and shapes them into a huge dragon’s head. It then surges forward, hitting every enemy in front of you, dealing damage and knocking them back.
This attack can’t trigger Critical hits, Precision Criticals, or Graze damage. However, while you’re casting it, you gain a nice boost of 15% damage reduction and Super Armor, letting you stay steady and tank through incoming hits.
Heavenquaker Spear

To unlock the Heavenquaker Spear, you will need to steal it through the Skill Theft: Heavenquaker Spear Sanctum encounter in the Qinghe region. But before you can do that, you must first learn the Skill Theft ability.
Make sure you’re at least level 8, then head over to the Peace Bell Tower area and find Qiu Yuehai. Talk to him and go through all of his dialogue. Once you finish speaking with him, you will automatically start an exploration quest called “Skill Theft: Unearned Lesson.”

Complete this quest, and you will earn several rewards, including the Skill Theft Art itself. Once you have this ability, you will finally be able to break into Sanctums and steal Martial Arts like the Heavenquaker Spear for your weapons.
Infernal Twinblades

One of the rewards you can earn from finishing the Oddities – Mystery of Five Tones encounter in Qinghe is the Infernal Twins – Sanctum Skill Theft opportunity. But before you can start stealing Martial Arts from Sanctums, you will need to unlock the Skill Theft ability itself. To do that, make sure you’re at least level 8. Then head over to the Peace Bell Tower area and look for Qiu Yuehai. Talk to him and go through all his dialogue.
Once you’ve heard everything he has to say, you will automatically begin the exploration quest called “Skill Theft: Unearned Lesson.” Complete this quest, and you will receive several rewards, including the Skill Theft Art. With this ability unlocked, you can finally start stealing Martial Arts from Sanctums to power up your weapons.
Inkwell Fan

To get the Inkwell Fan Martial Art, you will need to sneak into the Inkwell Fan Sanctum and steal it from the Master waiting at the end. Start by making your way to the Inkwell Fan – Sanctum in northern Qinghe. If you’ve already visited the area before, just teleport to the Courier Station nearby to save time. You will need a Dragon Key to enter the hidden passage inside and interact with the Loong Herm Dragon Pillar, and the key will be consumed as the entrance opens.

Once you’re inside, follow the path downward until you reach a section patrolled by multiple Militiamen. You can skip the first two by sticking to the wall on the left. After that, watch for a Militiaman hiding behind a tall rock on the right, and take him out quietly. Then climb the wall on the right to reach a higher platform where two more guards are standing near the first chest.

Keep going across the bridge, and you will spot some rocks on your right that you can climb. Head up, then down the other side to find the second chest. After getting it, turn left and climb up again to reach the third chest. When you’re done, head back to the first Save Point and drop down the hole nearby to reach the fourth chest. Once you collect it, climb the ladder beside you to get back up. Cross the bridge again and quietly take out the Militiaman near the ledge. You will find the fifth chest right next to the mound behind him.

To get back up, you will have to deal with two guards. Take out the one on the left first while the other isn’t looking, then finish off the second. Climb back up near the bridge where you dropped down earlier and follow the path to the left. You will reach a room guarded by two more guards. Slip past them or take them out, and you will find the final chest waiting for you on the left side of the room. After opening that chest, continue moving deeper into the Sanctum. Eventually, you will arrive at the final chamber where the Master is located. All that’s left is to perform a successful Skill Theft on him, and the Inkwell Fan Martial Art is yours.
Nameless Spear
You don’t have to do anything special to unlock the Nameless Spear. The game gives it to you right at the start, along with the Nameless Spear, so you can jump into combat immediately. This skill deals a lot of damage and moves fast, but it isn’t the best when it comes to supporting others or tanking hits. You will need to rely on your mobility and timing since it doesn’t offer much in terms of crowd control or survivability.
Nameless Sword
The game gives Nameless Sword to you right at the start, along with the Nameless Spear, so you can jump into combat immediately. This skill deals a lot of damage and moves fast, but it isn’t the best when it comes to supporting others or tanking hits. You will need to rely on your mobility and timing since it doesn’t offer much in terms of crowd control or survivability.
Flying Gourds

Flying Gourds is an upgrade that gives Peak’s Springless Silence two extra charges, but it also adds a 3-second increase to its cooldown. To get Flying Gourds, start by talking to the Sundara Land Wayfarer. Unlock the Sundara Land map to move forward to the next clue. The tome you need is hidden below the Inkwell Fan Sanctum, inside a chest located just before the Skill Theft encounter.

The entrance to this cave needs a Dragon Key. You can find it northwest of the Floral Expanse Beyond Boundary Stone. Once you head inside, explore the area, and you will find the Flying Gourds tome in the Inkwell Fan Sanctum section. Gives you 2 extra charges for Peak’s Springless Silence, but adds 3 seconds to its cooldown.
Fury Harvest

Fury Harvest makes it easier to gain Vitality, which is important because you need Vitality to cast your Mystic Arts. There are many ways to recover Vitality during the game, and Fury Harvest adds even more options, helping you cast Mystic Arts more often without running out.

You can get the Fury Harvest tome by defeating Ye Wanshan at Bodhi Sea during a Lost Chapter quest. Once you beat him, you will be able to learn and unlock Fury Harvest from your abilities menu. Every Internal Art in the game comes with its own set of small, clue-based quests. You will need to follow these clues and collect all the tomes to fully unlock each Internal Art.
Insightful Strike

Insightful Strike helps you build Focus, and once your Focus bar is full, you enter the Concentration state. This state boosts your Affinity damage and gives you a small chance to take less damage when hit. Insightful Strike Effects: deal Affinity damage, builds up Focus. When your Focus is full, you enter Concentration for 10 seconds. Concentration increases your Affinity damage by 10%, and every time you’re hit, there’s a 5% chance to reduce incoming damage by 40%.
To unlock it, you need to earn a Grade A in the Moonveil Mountain Archery Competition against Feng Jisheng. You can find him near the southern side of Encircling Lake. Talk to him to start the challenge. Shoot down 4 or more birds to get a Grade A. This rewards you with the Insightful Strike tome along with 5 Echo Jade, Perception, 5 Qinghe Exploration, plus 500 EXP and 500 Coins. Using the Still Waters Mystic Skill makes this event much easier, as it slows the birds down and turns them into easy targets.
Morale Chant

Morale Chant is a very useful Internal Art because it works with any weapon or playstyle. It has a high chance to activate whenever you attack or heal, giving you a boost to both your damage and your healing. You can buy the Morale Chant Inner Way from Tang Bao, the Weiyang Merchant at Blissful Retreat in central Qinghe. It costs 5000 Echo Jade, which you can earn from the main story, exploring, Daily Tasks, Events, the Battle Pass, and Exchange Codes.
After buying all 10 Morale Chant pages, open your Bag (B), go to the Develop section, and select the pages. Choose “Comprehend” to unlock the art. Then, go to Develop (H), then Abilities, then Inner Way to equip Morale Chant. Sometimes Tang Bao’s map icon doesn’t appear, making it seem like he’s gone. He’s still there. Just fast-travel to the Blissful Retreat Boundary Stone, and you will find him right beside the gate in his usual spot.
Morale Chant Effects: 80% chance to gain one stack of Yi River when you attack or heal. Each stack gives +1% Physical Damage and +1% healing for 8 seconds. Morale Chant can stack up to 5 times. It can trigger once every 2 seconds.
Restoring Blossom
Restoring Blossom is a skill that makes your heals stronger. Whenever you land a critical heal, it gives your target a small healing boost called Nurturing. This boost lasts for 3 seconds and increases the healing they receive by 2%. It can stack up to three times, so the more critical heals you land, the more healing they get.
To unlock Restoring Blossom, you need to reach level 13 and access the Profession system. Once you’re level 13, head to Mercyheart Town in the northwest part of Qinghe. There, complete the quest Legacy: Healer’s Calling to join the Healer’s Union. Finishing this quest rewards you with the Restoring Blossom Tome, which unlocks the skill.
Rock Solid
You can unlock Rock Solid by finishing the Unbound Cavern campaign quest. In this quest, you will need to travel to Kaifeng and defeat the Dao Lord in the Ghost Light Market. Once you complete the quest, Rock Solid will appear as a reward on the campaign completion screen.
When you use the Stormbreaker Spear skill Storm Roar and successfully Taunt an enemy, you gain extra damage reduction. While this effect is active, you deal slightly less damage, but your Aggro increases, making enemies focus on you more.
Royal Remedy

Royal Remedy makes your Panacea Fan even better by boosting its healing power and giving you extra benefits. It increases how much you heal, lowers the cost of using the skill, and adds a few helpful bonuses on top. It boosts the healing from the water clone created by the Panacea Fan’s Cloudburst Healing skill by 10%. Also, if you stand within the clone’s healing area, you gain 1 Dewdrop every time it heals you.
Make your way towards the southeast area of the Qinghe Verdant Wilds. Once you enter, take the passage on the right. Follow it until you reach a big hall filled with several guards. Take them out quietly. On the left side of this hall, you will see a ladder. Climb it and use the scaffolding above to move into the next room. Inside, you will find two more guards and a gold chest. Defeat the guards, open the chest, and you will get Royal Remedy.
Shadow Assault
To unlock Shadow Assault, head to the Chingha region and look for Chiang. He’s standing near a tree. Talk to him, and you can buy the Shadow Assault Tome by giving him a few oddities. Oddities are small collectible items you find while exploring or completing quests. The tome becomes available once you start the third oddity set.
After getting the tome, open your Develop menu, go to the Inner tab, select Shadow Assault, and choose Comprehend to equip it in one of your slots. You can also upgrade its tier using Notes from the Tips Exchange to boost its range or damage.
For the best results, use Shadow Assault together with Touch of Death for easy stealth one-shots. It also works well with the Nine Mortal Ways sect. If you need more oddities, Chingha is a great place to farm them. It increases the ambush range of Touch of Death by 1.5 meters and boosts its damage by 10%. When you successfully ambush an enemy, you also heal for 5% of the damage you dealt.
Star Reacher

Star Reacher is a strong Inner Way that gives you a 10% physical attack boost for 8 seconds every time you knock an enemy into the air. It’s great for fast, aggressive playstyles and works especially well with umbrella or fist weapons that can easily launch enemies.
To unlock Star Reacher, you need to defeat the Snake Doctor world boss in Moon Veil Mountain, Chingha. The boss arena will show up on your map once you reach that part of the story. The Snake Doctor is a tough fight; it uses poison attacks and summons extra enemies, so bring fire damage if possible. Parry the red attacks, dodge the yellow ones, keep healing items ready, and consider playing with others for extra safety.
After you beat the boss, you will get the Star Reacher Inner Tome. Open your Develop menu, go to Inner Ways, select Star Reacher, and choose Comprehend to unlock and equip it in one of your slots. You can upgrade it later using Notes from the Tips Exchange to make the buff last longer or hit harder. For the best results, use Star Reacher with moves that launch enemies, like Soaring Spin.
Sword Horizon

Sword Horizon works together with the Strategic Sword to create strong follow-up attacks and boost Bleed damage on enemies. To unlock Sword Horizon, you first need to collect all of its pages. These pages come from Ni Laoshan, a vendor found in the Kaifeng Ghost Market.
To access the Ghost Market, you must progress through the main story until Kaifeng City becomes available, or you can unlock it by completing the Bounty Trouble side story. During that quest, your character gets kidnapped and taken to the Ghost Market, which starts the March of the Dead storyline. Completing this will let you activate the Ghost Market Boundary Stone.

Ni Laoshan does not sell the Sword Horizon pages directly. Instead, you must buy Unknown Old Books from him for 12,500 Coins each. Whether a book turns into a Sword Horizon page is completely random, so you will need plenty of coins to buy multiple copies.
After using the Strategic Sword’s Martial Arts Skill, Special Skill, or Charged Skill, press the skill button again at the right moment during the finishing animation to trigger Crisscrossing Swords, which performs powerful follow-up attacks. If your target has 5 Bleed stacks, the skill removes all stacks and deals one big burst of Bleed damage.
Sword Morph
Sword Morph works perfectly with the Vagrant Sword skill from the Nameless Sword. It makes your charged attack much stronger by adding extra hits and extra damage. When you charge Vagrant Sword while the Qi shield is active, it releases several additional sword-energy attacks at the second charge stage. You can also spend extra Endurance to boost this damage; each point of Endurance adds 1% more damage, up to a maximum of 20%.
To unlock Sword Morph, you need to complete Day Three of the A Warrior’s Journey challenge. This is an early questline in the game. Start it by talking to the NPC in the opening area, then follow the quest steps, fight the enemies, solve a simple puzzle, and finish the required tasks. Once you complete Day Three, you will receive the Sword Morph Tome as your reward.
After getting the tome, open your Develop menu, go to the Inner tab, select Sword Morph, and press Comprehend to equip it in one of your four Inner Way slots. You can upgrade it using Notes from the Tips Exchange to make your Qi shield last longer or get stronger.
Thunderous Bloom

Thunderous Bloom lets you activate Spring Thunder by quickly covering a long distance. When you trigger it, your heavy attacks get a nice damage boost. To unlock Thunderous Bloom, you need to clear the Mercyheart Monastery Outpost in Sundara Land, Qinghe. To complete this outpost, you must: Defeat all the guards in the area. Destroy all the Datura plants around the monastery. Defeat Huiyao, the outpost leader.

Once you finish the outpost for the first time, you will automatically receive the Thunderous Bloom Tome. It is given directly to you, not from the outpost chest. If you move more than 15 meters within 3 seconds, you gain Spring Thunder. For the next 3 Heavy Attacks or Windborne Heavy Attacks within 12 seconds, you deal 15% extra damage. This effect can activate once every 15 seconds.
Trapped Beast

Trapped Beast gives you a protective shield when your HP drops below 30%, helping you survive longer in tough fights. To unlock Trapped Beast, you need to progress through the March of the Dead Lost Chapter. You can start this Lost Chapter by going to the Kaifeng Ghostlight Market and talking to Mr Ghost. Listening to him will begin the quest.
Another way to reach this quest is by completing the Bounty Trouble side quest. During that quest, you will be taken to the Ghostlight Market, where you will automatically get the clue needed to start March of the Dead. When your HP drops below 30%, taking damage gives you a shield that absorbs damage equal to 30% of your max HP.
Vendetta

Vendetta boosts the damage of the rats you summon with the Mighty Rats skill, making them hit even harder. To unlock Vendetta, you need to complete the Jinming Pool: Petalfall Banquet quest, which is part of the Jinming Pool Lost Chapter.
You can start this quest by talking to Murong Yuan, who stands in the Imperial Garden North, overlooking Jinming Pool. Keep in mind that the quest only begins if the in-game time is between the Shen Hour and the You Hour. Vendetta Effects are Vendetta Token from the Gilded Blade that lasts 5 seconds longer. It Restores 20 Tokens of Gratitude.
Vital Leech

Vital Leech is a life-steal ability that lets you heal yourself while dealing damage. At the base level, it heals you for 8% of the damage you inflict, and this goes up to 17% when fully upgraded. If you attack enemies that are Exhausted, you heal even more, 30% of the damage you deal to them. To unlock Vital Leech, defeat Lucky Seventeen in the Palace of Annals Lost Chapter. When you use an Exhaustion Execution Skill, you recover HP equal to 8% of the damage you cause.
Wildfire Spark

Wildfire Spark gives you back a small amount of Endurance every time you use it, making the skill cheaper to use repeatedly. You recover 3.5% of the Endurance spent when using this skill. To unlock Wildfire Spark, you need to finish two encounter quests: Culinary Hotpot Fever and Deerforage’s Remedy.

Start by interacting with the campfire east of the Blissful Retreat Boundary Stone to meet Shi Yimo. Go to Deerforage Grove. Teleport to the Boundary Stone and head east past the big tree. Shi Yimo may appear near the wooden planks by the stream.
Next, teleport to the Porcelain Kiln Boundary Stone and climb the scaffolding to talk to her again. Then go to the Thousand-Buddha Vale Boundary Stone and speak to her once more. Use Wind Sense to help heal Shi Yimo from poison and complete the encounter.
When you finish the Deerforage’s Remedy quest, you will receive the Wildfire Spark tome as a reward. Shi Yimo first appears at the camp east of Blissful Retreat, and after that, she can randomly appear around Deerforage Grove.
Wind Beneath Wings
Wind Beneath Wings works together with the Skywalk Dash movement ability. It lowers the Endurance cost and gives you a short speed boost, making it great for exploring or travelling long distances. Wind Beneath reduces the Endurance cost of Skywalk Dash by 10% while jumping. After you land, your movement speed increases by 30% for 3 seconds. You also heal a little after every enemy you defeat (1% of your Max HP + 1000 HP).
To get Wind Beneath Wings, defeat every enemy inside the stronghold and open the chest. You will get Wind Beneath Wings along with some basic supplies. Clear out all the guards and defeat the boss. Then light the correct braziers to open the underground area.
Solve the puzzle inside and reach the end to earn 40% comprehension for the skill. Defeat all enemies here and take down Zhang Hu, the outpost boss. Finishing the outpost gives you the remaining 60% comprehension needed to fully unlock Wind Beneath Wings.
Yaksha Rush

Yaksha Rush is great for PvP fights and helps you move quickly while breaking through enemy defences. You can unlock Yaksha Rush after finishing the Final Jianghu Legacy. You will earn this Mystic Skill by defeating Miaoshan in the quest “The Promised Light.” This quest becomes available once you collect 6,000 Qinghe Exploration Points and talk to the Wayfarer in Sundara Land. You will also need to finish two main story quests: Palace of Annals and Bodhi Sea.
These two quests give you the two halves of the Light Jade, which you will use to solve a puzzle. Once all requirements are done, just track the mission from your Journal. As for the skill itself, Yaksha Rush is a strong single-target offensive skill that costs 15 Vitality and has a 2-second cooldown. It’s great for breaking enemy defences and dealing heavy damage.
Thundercry Blade
To get the Thundercry Blade Martial Art, start by travelling to the Well of Heaven Martial Camp located in the southern part of Kaifeng. When you reach the camp, don’t use the main entrance. Instead, climb the wall on the left side of the gate to sneak inside. Move quietly toward the ramp and ladder nearby to reach the first save point safely. From there, make your way deeper into the camp by travelling across the rooftops.
Along the way, you will come across disciples guarding several chests. You can assassinate them one by one to keep your path clear while collecting the loot. Once you reach the blue ring area inside the Well of Heaven camp, use Skill Theft on the master there to unlock the Thundercry Blade Martial Art. You will then be given the option to choose any Martial Art you want, including Thundercry Blade.
Touch of Death
Touch of Death is a General Passive Mystic Art in Where Winds Meet. It lets you rush up behind an enemy and jab a pressure point on their back, hitting their vital spot for a burst of damage. If the enemy is frail or low-constitution, this move can instantly take them out in one hit. Just keep in mind that Touch of Death can’t be upgraded; it doesn’t gain Ranks or Tiers through the Breakthrough System.

To unlock Touch of Death, you will need to finish the Echoes of Old Battles Side Story. Head to the ruined fortress near Battlecrest Slope in the Verdant Wild; that’s where the quest begins. Work your way through the clues, and they will eventually lead you deep underground. There, you will find the Warrior’s Pledge, which is what teaches you the Touch of Death Mystic Art.
Echoes of Old Battles is a Side Quest in Where Winds Meet. It’s a fairly long adventure where you track down the hidden treasures of the Northern Vow loot that was stolen and stashed away by the Tiger Fort Bandits. All of this takes place at the Northern Vow Ruins in Battlecrest Slope, Qinghe.
Wind Sense
Wind Sense gives you a sense of the environment by interpreting the wind. When you use it, the game indicates to you the important things that are near, such as items, hidden objects, or people whom you should be noticing. It notifies you about everything that is coming nearer, or that is worth looking at. No extra ranks or upgrades are required for Wind Sense; it always works at the same level once you have it.

You can get Wind Sense unlocked by going to the Talent Tree and choosing its skill node in the Basic area. First, open the Develop tab. After that, go to Abilities and scroll down until Mystic Skills appear. In this section, on the right side, you will find Wind Sense under the General tab. If it is not activated yet, simply hit X, and it will be unlocked. The game will indicate the button to be used for its activation; normally, it is R3, but it may vary based on your gaming platform.

Wind Sense is one of the most helpful skills in Where Winds Meet. With its help, you can very rapidly reveal the location of enemies, important objects and everything in the surroundings that you may have overlooked. Furthermore, it enables you to determine the vision cone of an enemy, which makes it more convenient for you to move around undetected.
During combat, Wind Sense can reveal an enemy’s strengths and weaknesses so you know exactly how to approach the fight. When interacting with NPCs, it lets you check what items they’re carrying, which is great for using Heavenly Snatch or negotiating with them.
Moreover, Wind Sense will be needed for many of the quests to locate the targets or uncover hidden clues. If you ever feel lost or uncertain about the next step, simply turn on Wind Sense; it will probably uncover something that you have missed.
Wolfchaser’s Art

To start, go to Wildmane Ranch and use a Dragon Key on the Dragon Herm; this will open the hidden cave entrance. Inside, make your way through the cave without getting spotted. At the very bottom, you will find a golden chest that contains the Wolfchaser’s Art Inner Way.
Divine Counter
Divine Counter is a General Active Mystic Art in Where Winds Meet. You can unlock it by choosing its node in the Basic section of the Talent Tree. To get access to it, you need to spend at least 14 points in that tree. This skill lets you focus your inner energy. When you block an enemy’s attack and time your counter just right, you strike back instantly.
Your counter not only deals damage but also slows the enemy’s Endurance recovery by 50% for 8 seconds. Using this skill helps you drain an enemy’s Endurance much faster. Once their Endurance hits zero, they become Exhausted, giving you the perfect chance to use a finishing attack that deals huge damage.
Star Shift
Star Shift is an assist feature that you automatically have from the very start of the game. The tutorials will show you how it works. If you ever want to turn it on or off, you can do that by changing the Assist Deflection option in the Game tab of the settings menu.
Star Shift helps you sense an enemy’s weak point. Right before their attack hits, the game uses one Insight Point to trigger a Deflection, which blocks and counters their attack for you. You begin with 2 Insight Points when using this feature.
Still Shore
Still Shore is a General Active Mystic Art in Where Winds Meet. When you hold your breath, enemies around you move 75% slower, making them much easier to deal with. The skill uses a bit of Endurance every 0.1 seconds while it’s active. This skill is great for anything involving archery. It’s also helpful for certain puzzles, like Oddity Collection, where you need to slow down fast creatures such as Moonbeam Toads and Midnight Nibblers.
Still Waters is a skill you will come across early in the game. When you use it, everything around you slows down a lot. This makes it very helpful in fights, especially when you’re surrounded, because you can move faster than your enemies and take them out more easily. You first unlock this Mystic Art during the archery mini-game at the start of your journey. To start the minigame, talk with Feng Jisheng. In the minigame, you have to shoot a bird with an arrow. After winning the minigame, you will unlock the Still Shore skill.
Fan Glider
Fan Glider is a Movement Lightness Mystic Art in Where Winds Meet. You unlock it by reaching Qinghe Exploration Level 5, which requires 6000 Exploration Points. To check your progress, open the Journal, then look at the Exploration Level section on the right. Keep in mind that Lightness Skills can only be used in a region after you’ve reached the required Exploration Level there.
Mighty Drop
Mighty Drop is a Movement Mystic Art in Where Winds Meet. It’s an important travel skill that you get right from the start of the game, and the tutorial teaches you how to use it. Just note that you can’t use it indoors. After jumping with the Threefold Skywalk, you can stop your movement and drop straight down quickly. Use Mighty Drop to slam into the ground and break through weak or unstable surfaces.
Thousand-Mile Flight

You can unlock Thousand-Mile Flight by logging in and claiming it on Day 4 of the Warrior’s Journey rewards. Just remember, you can only use Lightness Skills in a region after you have reached the required Exploration Level there.
Because major factions restrict Lightness Skills, you will need to earn faction keepsakes by increasing your Exploration Level to move freely. Once unlocked, Thousand-Mile Flight lets you soar through the sky like a dragon, travelling long distances with ease. This Mystic Art cannot be upgraded; it has no Rank or Tier improvements through the Breakthrough System.
Threefold Skywalk

You don’t need to do anything to get this skill; it’s unlocked from the start of the game, and the tutorial teaches you how it works. It’s one of the basic movement skills you will use often. You can jump up to three times in a row, letting you reach higher places or cross big gaps. Threefold Skywalk can’t be upgraded. It doesn’t have any Rank or Tier improvements in the Breakthrough System. Threefold Skywalk is a basic movement skill in Where Winds Meet. It lets you triple jump, which is especially useful for climbing, platforming, and reaching higher places.
Wallstride – Shadowdash

To get this Mystic Skill, you need to collect and submit at least 45 Oddities. After that, you need to get the Afterglow Pendant. Once you reach the “Music of Laiyi II” node, the Melodies of Peace NPC will unlock the Wallstride-Shadowdash skill. This requires turning in about 21 Oddities. However, to actually use Wallstride and other Lightness skills in certain regions, you must increase your Exploration Level for that area.
Some major factions restrict Lightness skills. By raising your Exploration Level, you earn special faction keepsakes that let you move freely. Wallstride greatly boosts your movement, letting you dash across peaks, glide over valleys, and even run on water, making travel much smoother and faster.
Wallstride – Swiftstride

To unlock this Mystic Skill, you need to collect and submit at least 21 Oddities. After that, get the Afterglow Pendant. Once you reach the “Music of Lingzhang V” node, the Melodies of Peace NPC will unlock the Swiftstride skill. This part requires turning in about 45 Oddities in total. But remember, just unlocking the skill isn’t enough. To actually use Wallstride and other Lightness skills in a region, you must first raise your Exploration Level for that area.
The Afterglow Pendant is especially important for the Qinghe region. Even if you have unlocked the Wallstride skills, you can’t use them in Qinghe until you have this pendant. Most major factions limit the use of Lightness skills. By increasing your Exploration Level, you earn special keepsakes that let you move freely. Swiftstride boosts your wall movement, letting you glide along walls smoothly and even jump over them with ease.
Wind Rider

You unlock Wind Rider by reaching Exploration Level 6 in Qinghe, which requires 9000 Exploration Points. You can check your progress by opening your Journal and looking at the Exploration Level section on the right side. Even if you unlock a Lightness Skill, you can only use it in a region once you’ve reached the required Exploration Level for that specific area.
Most major factions limit Lightness skills, but as you raise your Exploration Level, you earn special keepsakes that let you use them freely. Wind Rider lets you ride the wind effortlessly, moving with a smooth, weightless flow.
Honking Havoc

To get the Honking Havoc skill, head to the riverside path between Blissful Retreat and Heaven’s Pier. You will spot a goose picking on a bear. Walk up to them and observe the scene to start a Skill Theft mini-game. Complete the challenge, and you will unlock the Honking Havoc Mystic Skill.
With this skill, you grab the goose by the neck and force out two loud honks that hit a wide area and apply a breath-hold for 6 seconds. After that, the goose slips away, kicking wildly in front of you and dealing a bit more damage before it finally flaps off.
Blinding Mist

Blinding Mist is an offensive support skill in Where Winds Meet. You can get this skill by completing the Blind to the World side story. To start this quest, talk to Unfated Tian, who can be found near the deep lake on the eastern side of the Moonveil Mountain area.
Blinding Mist lets you release a cloud of poisonous smoke in front of you. This smoke blocks enemy vision, deals damage, and makes them blind and unable to fight for 5 seconds. While enemies are blinded, you can use Touch of Death to finish them off.
Blossom Barrage

If you want to unlock Blossom Barrage, you will need to finish the Shadows in Bloom Side Story in Kaifeng. To start the quest, make your way to the Floral Reverie area in Kaifeng City. Once you’re there, look around the docks, and you should spot a man lying on the ground. Approaching him will automatically start the quest, and from there, you just follow it through to the end to earn the skill.
When you unlock Blossom Barrage, it gives your Vernal Umbrella a nice boost. Your Spring Sorrow martial arts move can now store two full stacks. On top of that, every time you hit an enemy with Spring Sorrow, it triggers a Combo effect that makes them take 10% more damage from your Ballistic Skills for the next eight seconds. This extra damage applies to moves like Let Spring Go and your Special Skill Everbloom.
Breaking Point

To get Breaking Point, you will need to take down the Yi Dao World Boss in the Blissful Retreat area of Qinghe. Yi Dao doesn’t show up right away. You have to progress far enough in the Main Story and finish all of Chapter 1: Heaven Has No Pier first. Once that’s done, head back to the Blissful Retreat.
When you arrive, explore the riverbank, and you will eventually spot Yi Dao’s sword stuck in the ground beneath a tree. Interact with it, and you will be pulled into a Dreamscape version of the area, starting the Dream in Flames Lost Chapter. Yi Dao is waiting for you at the end of this dream world, and defeating him will reward you with the Breaking Point Tome.
Once you unlock Breaking Point, your damage output gets a solid boost. Whenever you land a Critical Hit on an enemy who’s already Exhausted, you will apply a stack of Disintegration for a short time. You can build up to three stacks, and each one gives you 10 Physical Penetration plus a 5% boost to your Critical Damage.
Divine Roulette

To unlock Divine Roulette, you will need to defeat The Void King in the Gleaming Abyss Lost Chapter. Finish that fight, and the skill is yours.
Once you have Divine Roulette, every time you pull off a clean deflection, you will get one of three random buffs. You might get Immortal Guidance, which boosts the damage of your next skill by 10%. Or you could get Immortal Heart, guaranteeing that your next skill hits as a Critical. The third option is Immortal Spirit, which ensures your next skill triggers an Affinity hit.
These effects last for ten seconds, and you can only trigger one every thirty seconds. The good part is that the bonus works on almost everything: Martial Arts Skills, Perception Skills, Special Skills, Charged Skills, and even your mixed combos, giving your next move a nice, powerful edge.
Echoes of Oblivion
To get Echoes of Oblivion, all you need to do is finish For Whom Does He Return, which is the fourth and final quest in Chapter 1 of the Main Story. Once you wrap up that chapter, the ability unlocks automatically.
With Echoes of Oblivion active, your Infernal Twinblades get a big upgrade. Your normal Light Attacks start marking enemies with Sin, and when you’re using Light Attacks during Flamelash, you will apply Karma instead. If an enemy has both Sin and Karma on them and you hit them with your Light Attacks, you will cut through 10% of their Physical Defense and 10% of their Bamboocut Resistance. In simple terms, you will hit much harder, especially on tougher enemies that usually shrug off damage.
Envigorated Warrior
You will unlock Envigorated Warrior by defeating Heartseeker during the Still Shore campaign. This fight happens naturally as part of the “A Horse Neighs in the Forest” quest in Chapter 1 of the Main Story, so you will pick it up just by progressing through the game.
Once you have Envigorated Warrior, you will get an increased power; all your damage and healing are increased by 5%. The catch is that the moment you take a hit, this bonus shuts off for five seconds. Getting hit also triggers something called the Cage effect, which makes you take 5% more damage from enemies during that time. So the perk is great, but it rewards careful, clean play where you avoid taking unnecessary hits.
Esoteric Revival

To get Esoteric Revival, you will need to defeat the Sleeping Daoist World Boss. He’s located near the Path of Karma Boundary Stone, so head to that area and take him down to earn the Tome as a reward.
Once you unlock Esoteric Revival, your Panacea Fan becomes even more helpful in tough fights. Its Revival Perception Skill, Golden Dawn Revival, will restore more HP whenever you bring someone back. In short, your revives become much stronger and give your allies a safer, healthier return to battle.
Evasive Charge

To unlock Evasive Charge, you will need to finish Volume 1 of the Streetwise Sage questline in Kaifeng. To get started, make your way to the Fair Grounds district in Kaifeng City. Inside the big pagoda at the centre, you will find two Nine Mortal Ways disciples talking. If you manage to successfully eavesdrop on their conversation, the Streetwise Sage quest will begin.
Once you complete Volume 1 and earn Evasive Charge, dodging becomes a lot more rewarding. After you perform a Perfect Dodge, there’s a 50% chance that all the Endurance you spent on that dodge gets fully refunded. It’s a great way to stay agile without constantly draining your stamina.
Evening Snow

To unlock Evening Snow, you will need to track down all of its pages. These fragments are spread across the world; some you will find while exploring, and others you can buy from certain merchants. Once you’ve gathered every page, the Evening Snow skill becomes available.
With Evening Snow active, you get a handy safety net at the start of any fight. During the first 12 seconds of combat, if your HP drops below 60%, you will automatically trigger Snow Vision for four seconds. While it’s active, you will heal 2% of your max HP plus an extra 600 HP every second. It’s a nice burst of survival, but keep in mind it only works once every 300 seconds, so use it wisely.
Exquisite Scenery

To get Exquisite Scenery, you will need to defeat the Shadow Puppeteer – Muqi World Boss in Bamboo Abode, located in Qinghe. The first time you beat him, you will see a short cutscene, and afterwards you will receive several rewards, one of them being the Exquisite Scenery Tome.
With Exquisite Scenery unlocked, your Thundercry Blade becomes much more reactive. Any time you successfully defend with it, you will trigger a unique counterattack. When this happens, you can instantly follow up by pressing your Perception Skill or Heavy Attack to unleash the first stage of a Charged Heavy Attack without having to charge it up. This bonus can only activate once every ten seconds. On top of that, whenever you land a hit with a Varied Combo, you will restore one bar of Battle Will, but only one bar per cast.
Art of Resistance

To unlock Art of Resistance, you will need to finish the Scammer Victims Encounter Quest in Harvestfall Village in Qinghe. To start it, talk to the Well of Heaven Elder just outside the village. He will send you to retrieve some jewellery from Zhang Yihao. When you get the chance to choose sides, make sure you support Zhang Yihao. That choice is what actually triggers the Encounter Quest. Complete it, and you will receive Art of Resistance as your reward.
Once you have it, Art of Resistance gives your defensive skills a nice boost. Any HP shield you create will last 4 extra seconds, and whatever bonus effects that shield normally provides will also stay active for those additional 4 seconds. It’s a simple but very helpful upgrade, especially during tougher fights where survivability matters.
Battle Anthem

To get the Battle Anthem, head to Sundara Land in Qinghe and clear out the Buddha Fort Outpost. You can either take down all the Rogue Monks inside or go straight for their leader, Huiyong. Once you defeat them and complete the fort for the first time, the Battle Anthem Tome will be added to your inventory automatically.
After you unlock it, Battle Anthem gives your Charged Skills a solid damage boost. Whenever you use a Charged Skill against any boss, it will hit 10% harder, a nice advantage for tougher fights and big encounters.
Mending Loom

You can unlock Mending Loom by defeating Zheng the Frostwing during the Ever-Normal Granary campaign. This Lost Chapter plays out inside the Granary of Plenty in Kaifeng, so just follow the quest chain until you reach the fight and take Zheng down to earn the Tome.
Once you have Mending Loom, your Soulshade Umbrella gets a powerful bit of extra sustain. Any time you use its Special Skill, Echoing Grow, you will instantly recover 5 Dewdrops. On top of that, you will also heal for 10% of your max HP for every 100 Dewdrops you spend. It’s a great way to keep yourself healthy while still using your resources aggressively.
Mountain’s Might

To unlock Mountain’s Might, you will need to open all the Internal Art Chests inside the Palace of Annals in Qinghe. There are five chests in total, and each one boosts your comprehension by 20%. Once you’ve collected all five, you will reach 100% comprehension. These chests are tied to the Palace of Annals Side Quest, so you will naturally pick them up as you work through that questline.
After you unlock Mountain’s Might, your Noname Spear gets a handy upgrade. When you use Qiankun’s Lock martial arts skill, it triggers the Endless Gale effect. For the next five seconds, your Endurance costs are reduced by 20%, letting you keep up the pressure without draining your stamina as quickly.
Riptide Reflex

To get Riptide Reflex, you will need to complete the “Veiled Blades” Lost Chapter in Kaifeng City. Finishing that storyline rewards you with the Inner Way. Once you have Riptide Reflex, your martial arts flow becomes a bit smoother. Whenever you hit an enemy with a Control Skill, the cooldown of your current Martial Arts Skill drops by one second. This can only happen once every ten seconds.
Steadfast Stance

To unlock the Steadfast Stance Inner Way, head to the area beneath the General’s Shrine. There, you will need to defeat Zhang Lang. After the fight, walk up to the statue and bow to it three times. Doing this will reveal a hidden chest behind the statue. Open it, and you will receive the Inner Way.
Once Steadfast Stance is active, you will be much harder to stagger when enemies hit you. Just keep in mind that this protection doesn’t work against boss attacks or hits from other players, but for regular enemies, it helps you stay firmly on your feet.
Abyss Dive
Abyss Dive is unlocked automatically; you don’t have to do anything special to get it. It’s one of the basic movement skills in the game, but you can only use it when you’re in deep water. Once you’re in the right spot, Abyss Dive lets you slip beneath the surface and swim underwater for a short period. Places like Crimson Cliff allow this. It basically gives you a smooth, free-flowing underwater glide, letting you explore hidden areas just like a fish.
Safe Mighty Drop

You can unlock Safe Mighty Drop by clearing the Mysterious Outpost for the first time, which is located in the western part of Moonveil Mountain. Once you complete it, the reward is yours automatically. With Safe Mighty Drop, your Mighty Drop skill gets a useful upgrade after mastering Silent Fall. When you land using Mighty Drop, you will be completely immune to both fall damage and disease, making risky jumps much safer.
Skywalk Dash

Skywalk Dash is a basic movement skill that’s available from the start. You get it automatically during the tutorial. Once you have it, it lets you dash forward right after using Threefold Skywalk, letting you cover ground quickly and move fluidly in the direction you’re facing. It’s great for keeping your momentum while exploring or dodging.
Adaptive Steel

To unlock Adaptive Steel, start by visiting Qi Sheng and handing over a few oddities. This will earn you the Adaptive Steel Tome, which is located at the start of the fifth musical instrument in Melodies of Peace. Once you have the tome, go into the Inner Ways menu, select Adaptive Steel, and unlock it to gain the skill.
