The Drunken Poet is one of the most unique skills you can unlock in Where Winds Meet. Once unlocked, the skill lets you fight with the same wild, flowing style as the legendary Poet Immortal, turning your intoxication into a powerful combat tool. In this guide, we will show you how to get the Drunken Poet skill and how to use it.
How to Unlock Drunken Poet Skill

To unlock the Drunken Poet skill, all you really need to do is get your character extremely, ridiculously drunk. Start by visiting the Honest Merchant. You’ll first meet him in Blissful Retreat, and later, he’ll move to Harvestfall Village as the story goes on. Buy a bunch of wine from his shop; the amount you’ll need is random.

Once you have them, start drinking the wines one after another without taking long pauses. You’ll notice the intoxication effects building up. Keep going until you hit the heavy debuff stage “Wasted,”. The moment you reach that severe level for the very first time, the Drunken Poet skill will unlock. After that, your character is going to be in pretty bad shape, so head over to the Evercare Clinic. Talk to the healer there, and they’ll cleanse the debuff immediately.
Drunken Poet Skill In Where Winds Meet

The Drunken Poet skill lets you tap into that wild, free-flowing fighting style inspired by the Poet Immortal. When you drink enough to enter the Intoxicated state, your attacks take on this loose, unpredictable rhythm. If you keep casting the skill, you’ll chain together up to five swift strikes, and each one can inflict Drunken Haze.
This ability is especially handy if you’re running a DPS-focused build, and it becomes even stronger at higher tiers thanks to how well it works with Dragon’s Breath. At Tier 2, every time you cast a skill, you’ll get a nice defensive boost, a good amount of damage reduction, plus some extra Tenacity to keep you steady in battle.
By Tier 3, things get more explosive. Any skill hit you land will apply Drunken Haze, and if an enemy already suffering from Drunken Haze gets hit with Ignition, the haze pops in a huge blast. This explosion deals a big burst of bonus damage based on your Physical Attack. At Tier 4, your survivability gets even better. Casting skills strengthen your Tenacity effect even more, helping you stay on your feet while you deal damage to the enemies.
