How to Get Afterglow Pendant in Where Winds Meet

If you’re trying to unlock Lightness Skills in Where Winds Meet and glide around like a true martial artist, you will need the Afterglow Pendant. This item is tied to your exploration progress in each region, and without it, your Lightness Skills won’t work. In this guide, we will show you how to get the pendant, how it works, and what you need to do to start flying.

How to Get the Afterglow Pendant

During the Afterglow questline, you will eventually hit a point where you can’t move forward. You will unlock Lightness Skills, but you won’t be able to use them yet. To activate them, you need the Afterglow Pendant.

To get the pendant, you need to earn 4,000 Exploration Experience in the Qinghe region. Just explore Qinghe and complete different activities there, like finding points of interest, opening chests, solving small puzzles, and so on. Once you hit 4,000 XP, you will get the pendant and can continue the quest.

Each region has its own Afterglow Pendant, and you unlock it by earning enough Exploration Points to reach the required Exploration Level in that area. Just remember: the pendant you get in one region only works in that region. So if you move to a different area, you will need to earn that region’s pendant to use your Lightness Skills there.

How to Use the Afterglow Pendant

The Afterglow Pendant only starts working once you finish the Afterglow Jianghu Legacy quest. In this quest, you will also get a quick demo of how the Lightness Skills work. You can start it by talking to the Moonveil Wayfarer in Heaven’s Pier.

The pendant doesn’t give you new abilities by itself; it simply unlocks your ability to use Lightness Skills in Qinghe. Once it’s active, you will be able to glide and fly around the region, making it much faster and easier to get around.
