After finishing the main story in Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, a post-game epic adventure awaits! A celestial portal opens, leading you to Heaven’s challenging realm. Here, you will experience tougher enemies and can find legendary treasures, such as the mythical Rubiss’s Sword. To claim such a powerful weapon, you’ll have to defeat the legendary dragon Xenlon within a limited number of turns. Master strategic combat techniques and exploit elemental weaknesses to conquer and gain this legendary sword for your armory.

    How To Get Rubiss’s Sword

After completing the game, return to the Dragon Queen’s Castle. There, you will find a portal that leads to Heaven, a place filled with challenging dungeons. These dungeons are familiar but have been upgraded with stronger enemies and hidden treasures. The journey through Heaven is a difficult one, not to be underestimated. This will take you to the Post-Game Dungeon called “?? ”

The Citadel Tower ???, while shorter than the dungeons in Heaven, is still a formidable challenge. At the top, you will face Xenlon, the most powerful dragon you have encountered yet. Defeating Xenlon quickly, within 35 turns, will grant you a wish. However, to fulfill all their wishes, you must defeat Xenlon multiple times, each time in fewer turns. You can get the Rubiss’s Sword as a wish from Xenlon when you ask him to give you a powerful weapon.

To protect your party from Xenlon’s powerful breath attacks, equip them with Dragon Robes and Light Dresses. To counter the powerful sleep spell Lullab-Eye, use Cock-a-doodle-doo on your sleeping ally on their next turn to wake them up and help you fight. Also, equip two Sage’s Stones on fast allies or those who can’t heal themselves. This will conserve your Hero’s MP for crucial Omniheal spells, essential for healing the entire party when damage is overwhelming. You should also equip the King’s sword, Hero’s Shield, and the Light Armor.

The Hero focuses on casting Kazap unless healing is needed, using the Sage’s Stone to restore health when an ally’s HP drops below 50%. The Thief, reclassified from Priest to Sage to Thief, uses Kafrizz as their main attack and supports the team with Cock-a-doodle-doo or Insulatle if an ally is asleep.

The Warrior, reclassed from Mage to Warrior, boosts the party’s attack power with Oomph and consistently uses the Sage’s Stone to maintain high HP levels. Finally, the Sage, formerly a Gadabout, prioritizes Kafrizz for offense and steps in with Cock-a-doodle-doo or Insulatle when needed to counter sleep effects.

The spells to use against Xenlon are Oomph, Insulate, and Kabuff. Oomph is a powerful spell that doubles the damage dealt to a target. Insulatle is a defensive spell that reduces the damage taken from Breath attacks. Kabuff is a supportive spell that increases the defense of the entire party.
