It’s a short but interesting task that takes you through parts of the Blue Gate map, from the Barren Clearing to the Adorned Wreckage. Along the way, you’ll examine wrecked machines and a hidden communication device to piece together what really happened.
How To Start The With A Trace Quest
You’ll get the quest “With A Trace” from Trader Shani at The Blue Gate. She wants you to look into what happened at the Barren Clearing, where a few ARC machines were recently taken down. Once you’ve investigated everything, the job’s done. As a reward, you’ll receive a Looting Mk. 2 and a Medium Shield for your efforts.
With A Trace Quest Guide
The first step in the “With A Trace” quest is to figure out who took down the ARC Machines at the Barren Clearing in the Blue Gate area. You’ll find this spot to the west of Raider’s Refuge in The Forest region.
When you get there, look around the wreckage until you spot a round, spherical device. Go up to it and interact to start investigating. It’ll take a few seconds for the scan or inspection to finish. Once that’s done, you can move on to the next part of the mission.
Next, make your way to the Adorned Wreckage area, which is located just south of the Barren Clearing. When you get there, look for a communication device sitting on a table near the wreckage it looks like a small computer. If the quest is still active, walk up to the computer and interact with it to investigate. Once the scan is complete, that’ll wrap up the “With A Trace” quest.
