The “A First Foothold” quest in ARC Raiders is all about helping the Raiders secure their new base of operations. You will be moving across different locations to repair and stabilise key structures, like communication terminals, satellite dishes, and defensive outposts. It’s important for establishing a strong foothold in the area, and you will earn a set of grenades as your reward once everything is back in working order.
A First Foothold Quest
In the quest “A First Foothold”, your main goal is to help stabilise a few key structures around the area. Start by securing the observation deck near the Ridgeline, then move on to activate the comms terminal located close to the Olive Grove. After that, head north of the Data Vault and rotate the satellite dishes on top of the church roof. Finally, make your way to the Raider structure near Trapper’s Glade and fasten down the loose roof plates to reinforce it.
Rotate The Satellite Dishes
First, go to the church roof just north of the Data Vault. To get there, head north from the Data Vault. Look for a big box next to the scaffolding and climb on top of it to reach the rooftop. Once you are up there, you will spot your objective.
Fix The Roof
Next, head over to the Raider Structure and climb on it near Trapper’s Glade. Once you are there, fix the roof by nailing down the loose plates. Interact with the plates and you will complete the objective.
Backup Power Supply
After that, make your way to the Olive Grove area. Go southwest from the Olive Grove and climb up the hill. You will come across a small camp with a yellow terminal waiting for you there. There’s a comms terminal nearby; interact with it to power it back up.
Stabilise The Observation Deck
Finally, go toward the Ridgeline and find the observation deck. Interact with the yellow circle there to stabilise it. Once that’s done, the quest will be complete.
Once you have completed all these tasks, return to Apollo in Blue Gate to claim your reward. You will receive three Shrapnel Grenades, three Snap Blast Grenades, and three Heavy Fuze Grenades for your efforts.
