In The Outer Worlds 2, the N-Ray Range puzzle requires you to find and use the N-Ray gadget to unlock a sealed door. After obtaining it you need to reach a control room with eight power levers. This guide will walk you through how to find the N-Ray gadget, use it to solve the door puzzle, and open the way forward.
How to Get the N-Ray Gadget
To get the N-Ray gadget, look behind the NPC, you will spot a makeshift wall with a vent entrance. Crawl through the vent. When you come out the other side, you will end up in the room with the N-Ray gadget.
The Door Puzzle in N-Ray Range
Now you need to solve the door puzzle. The N-Ray gadget will automatically equip, just press LB to activate it. You will notice glowing wires running from the locked door to a hidden room on the right. Follow the wires and crawl through another vent to reach that room. Once you crawl through the vent inside the N-Ray Range, you will find yourself in a small room with eight power levers.
To unlock the door, pull the bottom left lever, then the second lever from the left on the top row, and finally the bottom right lever. You can also make things easier by using the N-Ray Scanner. When activated, it shows a purple line connecting the correct levers, just pull the ones the line passes through. Doing this in the correct order will open the nearby door so you can move forward in the N-Ray Range. Keep in mind that you can only activate three switches at once. If you flip a fourth one, all of them will reset.
