How To Get All 4 Badges in 99 Nights in The Forest (Meteor Update)

The Meteor Update in 99 Nights in the Forest has added a brand-new event where meteors crash across the map, bringing new challenges, enemies, and rewards. Along with it, players can now unlock four badges by completing event tasks like mining meteors, defeating crabs, and crafting at the meteor anvil. This guide will walk you through everything step by step so you can get all four badges without missing anything.

How To Get All 4 Badges in 99 Nights

The new Meteor Event has arrived in 99 Nights in the Forest, and it comes with four new badges for players to unlock.

When the event begins, you’ll see a message saying “The sky is on fire.” That’s your hint that meteors are about to rain down across the entire map. If you open your map, you’ll notice a red anvil icon marking the event location, along with crash sites where meteors have landed.

Mining Meteor Rocks

At these crash sites, you can use your axe to break apart meteor rocks. When destroyed, they drop two resources:

  • Gold shards
  • Meteor shards

You’ll find meteor crabs guarding the area, blending in with the rocky environment. These are one of your badge challenges. Defeat 20-25 of them, and you’ll unlock the badge.

Obsidian Ore and Chests

Sometimes you’ll come across a different type of crash site with obsidian ore. To break it open, you need to throw it jump and drop it onto the ground until it cracks apart.

Once broken, the ore needs to be processed:

  1. Melt it in hot liquid.
  2. Cool it down in water.

This gives you obsidian ingots, which are key crafting materials. At the moment, the melting step is a little buggy.  Opening an obsidian chest is one of the badge requirements.

The Meteor Anvil

At the anvil location, you’ll encounter more crabs. Clear them out, then repair the anvil by finding three missing pieces nearby. Once restored, you can use the anvil to craft special items.

Here’s what you can make:

  • Axe trim kits (improve your axe)
  • Armor upgrades
  • Obsidian boots
  • Obsidian chest blueprint

All of these require obsidian ingots, so you’ll need to go through the ore-melting process first.

Completing the Badges

The four new badges are tied to simple tasks in the event:

  • Open an obsidian chest
  • Kill 20 meteor crabs
  • Mine 25 meteors
  • Craft 25 items at the meteor anvil

Right now, the obsidian smelting process is a bit buggy, but once patched, everything should work smoothly. Keep gathering shards, crafting ingots, and building at the anvil to finish all four badges.
