You’ll find several lockers on the ground floor of the school in Silent Hill f that can be unlocked as you scour the school. One of them you have to unlock for plot reasons, but the others are optional—although it is well worth unlocking them all. Not only will you find lore and useful trinkets, but you’ll also be rewarded with an item that expands inventory space.
This guide walks you through how the locker code system works and provides you with all the combinations you need.
How the Locker Codes Work

Students at the school have created a cypher that assigns certain letters to numbers. Any letters that are not chosen are excluded, so only the coded letters remain to form the locker combination.
Letter-to-number cypher:
- A = 4
- B = 8
- E = 3
- I = 1
- O = 0
- S = 5
- T = 7
- U = 6
For example, the journal gives the name KEIKO since K has no assigned number, only the letters E, I, and O count, which yields a code of 310.
With this system in mind, let’s go through each locker.
Aoi Takeshi’s Locker
- Combination: 401
Aoi’s short name makes this one the easiest to decode. Entering the code opens the locker, which contains the Origami of Grievances. You’ll need this item later to solve another student’s locker puzzle.
Asakura Ayumi’s Locker

Ayumi’s code depends on your chosen difficulty. Her journal entry reveals she set her locker code to something she “loves”—either SEA on Story difficulty or BUS on Hard.
- Story Mode: 534 (SEA)
- Hard Mode: 865 (BUS)
Inside is the Key Cabinet Key, which you’ll need for advancement.
Tsuchiya Taiko’s Locker
- Code: 377
Taiko’s locker is not very difficult because there is another character who leaves the specific code in a journal entry. It unlocks to give you the Wolf Omamori, a charm that boosts damage when using weapons with high durability.
Suga Yosie’s Locker

The Origami of Grievances in Aoi’s locker gives the hint here: Yosie’s combination “is a cry for help.” Decoding SOS through the cypher gives you the code.
- Combination: 505
Opening this final locker rewards you with the School Bag, increasing your inventory space by one slot—a great help for exploration and resource management.

Only one of these lockers is necessary to progress the main story, but unlocking all of them offers valuable upgrades. Between the Wolf Omamori’s combat buff and the School Bag’s inventory expansion, you’ll be better equipped for the horrors ahead.
