The Locker Code Puzzle is tied to the lockers on the first floor, and you will need a specific code to open them, especially Asakura Ayumi’s locker, which is important for progressing the story.
How Locker Codes Work
In the Old Annex, you will find notes and letters that give you hints about the locker codes. Most of these codes are based on how numbers resemble letters. The big hint here is Aoi: A looks like 4, O like 0, and I like 1. Again, only Asakura Ayumi’s locker is required to move forward in the game.

Aoi Takeshi School Locker
Head to the first floor, just east of Ebisugaoka Middle School. Go into the room there, and you’ll spot a locker right away on your left. Enter the code to unlock it, and you’ll find the Origami of Grievances inside.
Asakura Ayumi School Locker
After leaving Aoi Takeshi’s locker room, head into the room just to the right. This one’s also packed with lockers. Directly across from the entrance, you’ll see Asakura Ayumi’s locker. The code for her locker changes depending on your difficulty setting. Open it up, and you’ll get the Key Cabinet Key.
Suga Yosie School Locker
Just to the right of Asakura Ayumi’s locker, you’ll find Suga Yosie’s locker. Unlock it, and you’ll get the School Bag upgrade, which lets you carry more items in your inventory.
Tsuchiya Taiko School Locker
Keep moving right from Suga Yosie’s locker, and you’ll come across Tsuchiya Taiko’s locker. Enter the code to unlock it, and inside you’ll find the Wolf Omamori.
How to Get the Locker Room Key
To solve the Secret Box Puzzle on the second floor to get the Classroom Key. Use the key to open one of the classrooms. Inside, you will find the Old Annex Key. Then head to the Old Annex area of the school. Go into the left classroom with the half-closed door. On Asakura Ayumi’s desk, you will find the Locker Room Key. Then you need to exit the classroom using the right stairwell.
How to Use the Key
You need to go back to the first floor of Ebisugaoka Middle School. The Locker Room is the first door on the right when you come down the right stairwell. Use the Locker Room Key to unlock it and enter. Inside, use the correct code to open Asakura Ayumi’s locker.
Once you open the locker, you will get the Key to the Back Mountains. This is a story item that allows Hinako and her friends to move forward. After this, Hinako will fall back into the nightmare world, and you will be greeted by the Fox Mask once again.
