All 8 Stone Sigil Locations for Excalibur Legendary Weapon in Dying Light The Beast

If you’ve played Dying Light before, you’ll likely remember the hidden EXPcalibur easter egg—a powerful one-use sword that quickly became a fan favourite. In Dying Light: The Beast, EXPcalibur returns, but with a twist. This time, unlocking it requires more effort: collecting eight Stone Sigils scattered around Castor Woods before claiming the blade.

Here’s where to locate each Sigil, followed by the steps to unlock the gun itself.

Where to Get Each Sigil

Eight Stone Sigils are concealed in various areas of Castor Woods. Each of them is associated with a unique landmark, so exploring and keen vision are the keywords.

Blood Sigil

Location: Mental Asylum, Castor Woods.

Details: Located in the garden fountain at the middle of the asylum. They are stuck on the base of the fountain. This is a high-level zone, so wait until Level 11 to try.

Curse Sigil

Location: Villa Area, near the Village Voltage Pole Safe Spot.

Details: Search for the ominous-looking tree in the park (part of a side quest). A skeleton lies to the left of it, and in its mouth is the Sigil.

Death Sigil

Location: Old Town, above the Railway Station.

Details: Enter the church tied to a story mission, then head through the right-side hole. Inside the statue room, the Death Sigil is attached to the large figure.

Shadow Sigil

Location: Exile’s Cave, Villa Area.

Details: Found directly in the cave’s center beside an NPC standing near a candle. Survivor Sense will highlight it if you’re struggling to spot it.

Sacrifice Sigil

Location: National Park, Stonehenge-like monument under a cliff.

Details: Enter the stone structure and turn towards a pillar in its center. This place becomes a boss fight location later, so beware.

Moon Sigil

Location: Southern National Park, close to the waterfall icon on the map.

Details: Move along the forest road to its top, pass through a crack, and search for a stone stuck in the ground to the right of the trees.

Void Sigil

Location: Near the Moon Sigil in the south of National Park.

One must enter the cave behind the waterfall, take the secret passageway, and plunge into the water at the end. The Sigil rests at the bottom.

Witch’s Mark Sigil

Location: Eastern National Park, in the vicinity of a Safe Zone.

One can find it inside a little cabin, which is actually stuck on the wall.

How to Unlock EXPcalibur II

Once you have acquired all eight Sigils, go to the huge rock formation within the National Park. Walk around the perimeter until you spot a climbing route utilizing tree limbs to ascend further upwards. On top, you will see the fabled sword buried in the ground, with eight pointed marks around it.

Put each Sigil in its slot to initiate a brief battle with a zombie guardian. Kill it—dropkicking is an excellent choice—then take a few seconds to yank EXPcalibur out.

Is It Worth It?

The reward is EXPcalibur II, which is a very powerful sword that, similar to the original, can be used once because it cannot be fixed. Though it’s a lot of work for a one-shot gun, the hunt is a nice easter egg for vets and a great nod to the original Dying Light.
