Black Ops 6 Server Status Maintenance and Downtime

Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision, Black Ops 6, commonly known as BO6, is a first-person shooter and one of the iconic series in Call of Duty’s expansive franchise. After last year’s CoD average performance, Activision has finally developed a title comparable to Black Ops 2, one of the best CoD games. BO6, like most CODs, offers multiplayer, zombies, and single-player campaign experiences. Due to the online nature of the multiplayer and zombie games, the BO6 server status becomes essential.

Knowing the current server status of the game can help you save a lot of time troubleshooting the game. The entire Black Ops 6 game can go down globally, or specific servers may have issues. For example, on 12 November, the game’s France servers were down. Knowing when the server is down in your region can save you a lot of time. This post will help you figure out the current server status of Black Ops 6.

Common Issues Experience by Players

The game’s server often goes down for several reasons, such as scheduled maintenance or sudden outages. During this period, the following are some of the common issues experienced by players.

  • Dev Error 5820: This is one of the common errors reported by several players. This error code appears when there are some issues in the network. To resolve it, you should first check the current server status of the game. If the server is down, the error will be resolved independently. Additionally, you can also try restarting your router or modem to refresh the connection.
  • Packet Burst Issue: A packet burst occurs due to some disruptions in the data between the player’s device and the game server. To fix this issue, first, ensure the central game server is up and running fine. Also, try resetting your router or modem to reestablish the connection. Additionally, try switching the connection from WiFi to Wired for a more stable and reliable connection.
  • “Unable to join game session” Error: The “Unable to join game session” error usually triggers when there are some issues in the game’s server or your network connection. If the game’s server is down, wait patiently until it is up, and the error will be fixed automatically. Also, make sure your internet connection doesn’t have any issues.

    • Switch from Wi-Fi to a wired connection for better speed and reliability.
    • Try a different Wi-Fi network and check if the issue is resolved.
    • Next, try reducing the number of devices using the same network to improve the connection.
