Towards the end of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants, there awaits a monster gate puzzle in the cult hideout. This final test is part combat and part problem-solving, as Indy clears a ritual chamber before addressing a mural-based mechanism. This walkthrough shows how to restore missing tiles, figure out which animals correspond to which numbers, align the pillars, and finally open the Monster Gate in order to enter the DLC finale.
Clear the Room and Fix the Puzzle
You find the Monster Gate puzzle near the end of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants, shortly after Indy escapes from Ricci’s Basement. Before touching any parts of the mural, though, you must first deal with the cultists who are conducting their ceremony in that room. Weapons lie scattered around the area, so collect what you can and try to draw enemies into narrow corridors to keep the brawl contained. Once everyone is taken care of, the puzzle begins.
Take a closer look at the circular mural on the wall, you’ll see three tiles missing. The pieces are lying nearby and are easy to place since each one carries an animal marking. Fixing the mural causes a hatch to open beneath the scorpion design on the lower left. Inside is a cogwheel, which you’ll need to insert into the pedestal in front of the mural to set the mechanism in motion.
Matching the Animals & Opening the Gates
The next step is to connect the four animal pillars around the chamber—horse, scorpion, raven, and snake—with the correct numbers from the mural. Rotate the mural with the Cylinder and line up each animal’s numeral at the top:
Raven = V
Snake = II
Horse = III
Scorpion = VI
When the correct number for an animal is positioned, check the symbol displayed beneath it. That symbol is the key for setting the matching pillar.
Finally, rotate each of the four pillars until they show the symbol you just identified on the mural. Once all are aligned correctly, interact with the mural again using the Cylinder. The Monster Gate will unlock, opening the passage that carries you straight into the DLC’s ending.
