The Retro Roadtrip Star Path in Disney Dreamlight Valley is the latest event packed with retro furniture, outfits, and rewards inspired by the 60s and 70s. To unlock these prizes, players must complete a variety of duties that grant tokens. This guide breaks down how the Star Path works, the types of duties you’ll encounter, and the weekly Routine Duties available throughout the event.
How It Works
To move forward on the Star Path, you’ll need to finish different duties. Every task gives you tokens, which you can then spend on rewards. Some are simple and can be repeated often (like fishing or mining), while others are tied to daily limits, such as chatting with specific characters. You’ll start with three active duties at a time, and there are six reward tiers to unlock—though not every prize is available immediately. If you want to make progress faster, you have two Premium options:
- Spend 2,500 Moonstones to unlock the Premium version, which gives you three extra duties at once.
- Spend 3,300 Moonstones, which includes the Premium perks and starts you off with 100 bonus tokens.
Premium players also get more freedom to choose rewards directly and gain access to an extra set of bonus rewards.
Types of Duties
The tasks vary, but most fall into these categories:
- Duties & Challenges – Finish Dreamlight, Mist, or Storybook duties, or take part in Daisy’s Boutique challenges.
- Clearing & Gathering – Remove Night Thorns, dig for clay, harvest cotton, or collect fruits like apples.
- Cooking – Make meals ranging from 1-star snacks to fancy 5-star recipes, with duties focusing on entrées, desserts, or appetizers.
- Fishing – Catch fish anywhere or in specific regions such as Peaceful Meadow, Dazzling Beach, Sunlit Plateau, Forest of Valor, Frosted Heights, Glade of Trust, or the Forgotten Lands. Some tasks even ask for seafood or gold ripple catches.
- Critter Care – Pet your companion, feed critters their favorite foods (like seaweed for turtles or flowers for sunbirds), or simply spend time with Joy and Sadness.
- Mining – Break rock nodes for basic materials or hunt down gems of specific colors (blue, green, yellow, red, purple, white) and shapes (oval, square, shiny).
- Shopping & Selling – Buy seeds from Goofy’s stalls, purchase items at Scrooge’s store, or sell things like fish, fruit, seaweed, and gems.
- Memory & Photo Quests – Snap photos of characters like Scrooge or unlock memories through normal gameplay.
Each completed duty pays out between 10–30 tokens, depending on the difficulty.
Routine Duties (Weekly Tasks)
The Retro Roadtrip Star Path introduces Routine Duties, which refresh each week for a total of five weeks. These offer big token payouts for simple tasks. Free players unlock them one week at a time. Premium players can skip ahead and complete any week’s set of challenges.

- Stop by Scrooge’s Store – Simply visit his shop (30 tokens).
- Shop at Scrooge’s – Buy 5 items from his shop (70 tokens).
