Abyssus: Unlock Disc Thrower, Location of the Hidden Crystals

If you’re looking for a weapon in Abyssus that feels completely different from the usual guns, the Disc Thrower is the one to get. It’s hidden away behind a special challenge, but once you unlock it, the weapon opens up a whole new way to play. In this guide, we’ll walk you through what makes the Disc Thrower so unique and exactly how to find the hidden crystals that guard it.

Disc Thrower in Abyssus

The Disc Thrower is not just another weapon; it is a whole new fighting style. Instead of the usual firing bullets to hit enemies, it throws spinning discs that bounce back after contact. Effects can be applied to it upon upgrade the discs could explode in the face of a target or chain lightning through several targets.

There is also a secondary throwing mode for sending three discs at a time simultaneously, massively increasing the damage.  While it is definitely a powerful weapon, it takes preparation and adjustment to use as it is quite tricky. The timing and ricochet can throw you off at first, so it is not really something we would recommend for beginner selection. However, once mastered, the Disc Thrower totally flips the game, granting you massive advantages in challenging runs.

Unlock Disc Thrower, Location of the Hidden Crystals

The Disc Thrower is available after the player reaches Act 2, Stage 4 (Depth 8). There is a locked red door in the room at the other side, but the door does not yet open. Break some crystals that are hiding somewhere in the area.

The first one is hidden a little to the left of the red door behind a grate. Look up to see the second crystal in the upper grate. The third crystal is to the right, deep inside another grate, near a small pond. Finally, the fourth one is placed in a vertical grate next to the exit tunnel.

You may break the crystals in any order. After destroying the last one, the red door will open. Walk through, and the Disc Thrower will be yours on the spot, permanently unlocking it for any of your future runs.
