In Battlefield 6, picking the right class can really change how you play and help your team win. Each class has its own job, so it’s important to choose one that matches how you like to play. You can rush into fights, heal and give ammo to teammates, take out enemies from far away, or handle vehicles. No matter what you choose, playing your role well can make a big difference in the match.

How to Choose the Best Class

In Battlefield 6, each class now has a specific role. Support offers the most consistent help in any game. Assault is the most flexible and adapts well to any situation. Recon can dominate at range but requires good positioning.

Engineers may feel weaker in pure infantry fights but are vital when vehicles are a big factor. Choose your class based on the map, your team’s needs, and your preferred playstyle. If you play your role well, you can completely change the momentum of a match. Here is how each class is:

    • Assault  –  Best for fast pushes and all-around combat. It has medium difficulty.
    • Support  –  Great for healing, giving ammo, and holding objectives. It has an easy difficulty.
    • Recon  –  Perfect for long-range kills and spotting enemies. It has a hard difficulty.
    • Engineer  – Specialises in destroying or repairing vehicles. It has medium difficulty.

    Assault

If you want to charge forward and adapt mid-fight, Assault is your go-to. This class is quick, versatile, and perfect for switching tactics on the fly. The key passive for assault is the Better ADS Mobility, which will allow you to move faster while aiming down sights with any weapon.

    Abilities & Gadgets

    • Level 1: Extra Adrenaline Injector charge.
    • Level 2: Faster health regeneration (important since injectors don’t heal).
    • Active: Enemy-detection stimulant that boosts your hearing so you can pick up footsteps and danger cues.

    Weapon

Faster sprint-to-fire and weapon swaps with assault rifles. You can even replace your gadget with a second primary weapon for powerful combos like Assault Rifle + Shotgun or SMG + DMR.

    Gadget

Adrenaline Injector: Use this before a fight to get more speed, explosive resistance, better footstep detection, and flashbang resistance. Think of it as a “rush in and hit hard” boost, not a healing item.

Some extra Gadgets are Explosive Grenade Launcher (quick burst damage) or Thermite Grenade Launcher (area denial).

    Trait

Soft Landing: Take less fall damage and keep moving at full speed after a drop. Great for rooftop jumps or vaulting into combat.

    Support

Support focuses on keeping teammates alive and supplied. You’re the medic, ammo carrier, and cover builder all in one. Stick close to your squad, heal, revive, resupply, and use smoke or LMG fire to help them advance.

    Abilities & Gadgets

    • Proximity Healing  –  Teammates heal just by being near you.
    • Revive Recovery  –  You heal yourself after reviving someone.

    Weapon

LMGs without the slow walking penalty, letting you move freely while spraying fire.

    Gadget

Medical Supply Box: Heals and provides ammo to anyone nearby, even under suppression. It can be destroyed, so place it carefully. Extra Gadgets are a Defibrillator (instant revive and one-shot melee at close range) and Deployable Cover (portable shield for safe revives or defending choke points).

    Recon

Recon is the stealthy spotter and long-range killer. You will be marking targets, picking off key enemies, and feeding valuable intel to your team.

    Abilities & Gadgets

    • Level 1: Automatically spot enemies you see; hitting them pings their location for longer and through cover.
    • Level 2: Headshot kills can’t be revived, perfect for stopping enemy pushes.

    Weapon

Buffs for bolt-action snipers, giving you a steadier scope and faster follow-up shots.

    Gadget

UAV: A drone that scans the battlefield and shows enemy positions on your team’s minimap. Extra Gadgets are C4 for sabotage and a Spawn Beacon so your squad can respawn closer to the action.

    Engineer

Engineers are essential for keeping your team’s vehicles in play and taking out enemy armour. You will repair allies, destroy enemy vehicles, and control choke points with explosives.

    Abilities & Gadgets

    • Level 1: Extra rockets and faster reloads.
    • Level 2: Slows down enemy vehicle repairs.
    • Higher levels: More efficient repair torch usage.
    • Passive: Extra explosive resistance.

    Weapon

SMGs with improved hipfire for close-quarters fights.

    Gadget

Repair Torch: Repairs friendly vehicles and can help turn the tide in big armour battles. Extra Gadgets are RPGs for both ground and air targets, Stinger missiles for locking onto aircraft, and Motion Sensor Mines for detecting movement.
