Acorns are a crucial resource in Grounded 2, especially in the early phase of the game when one is just starting to build the base and unlock the mounts. Though large, Acorns can be surprisingly difficult to spot. In this guide, you will learn where to find them easily, how to gather them safely, and a few tips to make your early gathering more efficient.
Where to Find Acorns

Acorns are an important early-stage resource in Grounded 2, primarily since they’re needed to build the Hatchery, which helps unlock the first Buggy mount, the Red Soldier Ant. They also get used in the base for crafting useful items like Storage Chests. However, though large, Acorns can be a little difficult to spot during the early stages of the game.
One good way to acquire two Acorns early in the game is to visit the first Ranger Outpost: Snackbar you come across in the course of the main story and check out the area. You just need to go into the grassy area on the right side. Therein lie two Acorns hidden in the tall grass. Be wary of some spiders roaming about though!
If you continue traveling south from this point, you will find more Acorns near the large tree located in the southern part of the park. Keep in mind that this tree produces fewer Acorns compared to the one found in the Entrance region. Remember, this zone has a lot of tough enemies, and without a Buggy mount, escaping can be difficult if things go wrong.
Note: Don’t forget to bring your Omni-tool, you’ll need it to smash the Acorns to collect its parts.
Tips for Gathering Acorns

Even if you have a general idea of where Acorns are, they’re often hard to see until you’re very close due to how well they blend into the environment. The good news is that Acorn spawns reset over time, so if you’ve already collected them all, check back later and they should return. Exploring the general area around the Snackbar Ranger Outpost is a good way to pick up a few more when you’re low.
