In this part of the quest, you’ll be heading into the Outer Steppes to track down another piece of the weapon using the Rosetta device. This step is all about exploring the area, unlocking a hidden terminal, and completing a small puzzle with your Matterspark ability. This guide will walk you through each section step by step so you know exactly what to do, where to go, and how to do it.
Triangulate the location of the weapon piece using the Rosetta device in “Outer Steppes”
Your next stop is the Outer Steppes zone. Follow the path marked on your HUD and keep going until you reach the right area. Once you enter the Outer Steppes, look around on the left-hand side. Tucked near some rock formations and just behind a small room, you’ll spot an Aionian Command Module.
Defeat the Rosetta Vex Sentry Minotaur
The module won’t open right away; it’s locked. To unlock it, you’ll need to take down a yellow-bar Rosetta Vex Sentry Minotaur patrolling nearby. These guys always guard the terminals during this quest step, so keep an eye out and clear them before you try interacting with anything. After defeating the Minotaur, head back to the Command Module and interact with it.
A new search area will appear on your map, and your quest will be updated whenever you activate the Command Module. Head toward that marked zone. In this area, you’ll need to use your Matterspark ability. Equip it before moving on. Your goal here is to find and charge three nodes scattered around the area. When all three nodes are charged, you’ll reach a small room. Look around inside for a pile of debris. Interact with the debris, and you’ll recover the first piece of the Graviton Spike Exotic Hand Cannon.
