Power Cap in Destiny 2: Edge of Fate

Destiny 2: Edge of Fate’s Power Leveling system has completely changed. With a complete Power reset across – all Guardians now start fresh, regardless of their past. This guide brings you everything you need to know about the new Power system: hitting the Soft Cap, leveling toward Power Cap and the Hard Cap, and utilizing Seasonal Bonus Power in Destiny 2’s latest chapter.

    Climbing to the Soft Cap

All players start the journey at an early stage of a Base Power Level of 10. From there, the first significant step is to reach the Soft Power Cap at a hundred and double of 200. At this point, you evolve by gathering Rare and Legendary gear, with a lot of drops during your ordinary offers of gameplay. This stage is more about upgrading your equipment and slowly growing your Power Level with standard gear.

    Power Cap and Hard Cap

But things don’t stop at 200. To go beyond that, players will need to start participating in more advanced and challenging content. One of the key activities for progression is the new Portal Activities, which are essential for reaching the next tier of power. These activities make it possible to hit the Power Cap, which is 400. However, if you’re aiming for the very top, there’s still one more level to reach.

To push your Power Level even further, up to the Hard Cap of 450, you’ll need to earn Prime Engrams, special rewards that also come from Portal Activities. These engrams give you the extra boost needed to max out your Power during the season.

Seasonal Bonus Power and Reset Cycle

Another thing to keep in mind is the Seasonal Bonus Power. This bonus is earned by taking on tougher challenges and activities during a season, and it helps raise your Power Level past the usual caps. However, this bonus doesn’t last forever. Once the season ends, the bonus resets, and all players return to a Power Level of 200 to begin the next season’s climb all over again.
