How to Unlock Peter Pan in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Peter Pan has finally arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and unlocking him is a magical adventure filled with friendship, memories, and puzzles. To bring him to your valley, you’ll first need to help The Forgotten remember who they are and complete a series of quests alongside them. Here’s a complete guide to help you unlock Peter Pan and welcome him to your village.

How to Unlock Peter Pan

To unlock Peter Pan in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll first need to bring The Forgotten into your village. Once they’ve settled in, you’ll have to complete a series of four friendship quests to move the story forward. These include A Forgotten Name, Shadows on the Wall, A Ship of Gold, and finally The Music’s On the Walls. Once you’ve finished all of them, Peter Pan will be ready to join your valley!

A Forgotten Name

You must finish the A Forgotten Name quest in order to welcome The Forgotten as a villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Once the quest begins, The Forgotten will hand you a feather and lead you to Skull Rock. As you explore together, they start to remember the times they used to play there and reflect on who they once were.

Feeling emotional, The Forgotten will tell you they want a real name. You’ll get to choose one from a few options: Onyx, Jet, or Obsidian or you can get creative and give them a custom name of your own. Whatever you pick, that’s the name they’ll go by from now on. After that, The Forgotten officially becomes a villager. You’ll be able to build a friendship with them, assign them a role like gardening or mining, hang out together, and unlock special friendship rewards along the way.

Shadows on the Wall

Once you finish the A Forgotten Name quest and welcome The Forgotten as a new villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley, the next quest Shadows on the Wall will automatically begin. This quest opens up a new area called Skull Rock.

Inside Skull Rock, you’ll join The Forgotten as you explore the mysterious cave. You’ll spot a glowing Pixie Dust Orb and a strange shadow present nearby. Head upstairs to the upper floor and talk to The Forgotten again. They’ll point out a locked gate and ask for your help to open it. While you’re still on the upper level, walk over to the edge and look for a spot to dig. You’ll uncover a broken lantern buried there. Pick it up and give it to The Forgotten to move the quest forward.

How to Repair the Lantern

After deciding to help fix the broken lanterns in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will need to gather a few key materials. Here’s a simple breakdown of what you need and where to find them:

  • Broken Lanterns (x3) – You already have one lantern, and the other two can be found on the bottom floor of Skull Rock. Head back down the ramp inside the cave, and you’ll see two orange fishing spots in the water near a pirate ship. Just fish at both spots, and you’ll reel in the remaining lanterns.
  • Gold Ingots (x3) – Craft these using Gold Nuggets and Coal Ore at any Crafting Table.
  • Glass (x9) – Make glass by combining Sand and Coal Ore at a Crafting Table.
  • Vitalys Crystals (x9) – Mine gem nodes in the Vitalys Mines or the Sunlit Plateau to find these.
  • Pixie Dust Orbs (x3) – Chase down the glowing orbs found in the Forgotten Lands, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust, then catch them.

Once you’ve collected everything, head to a Crafting Table and make three Pixie Dust Lanterns. Then, place them on the Rope Winches nearby. Once all three are set, you’ll be able to adjust the light beams doing so helps reveal the mysterious shadow hidden inside Skull Rock.

How to Trap the Shadow

After you spot the mysterious shadow in Disney Dreamlight Valley, your next task is to trap it by aiming all three lanterns at the same wall. Rotate the left, middle, and right lanterns so they all shine on the centre wall, the one near some crates and barrels. This will trap the shadow and trigger a short scene.

Once that’s done, talk to the shadow. It will ask you to follow it; it can’t move on its own. You’ll need to guide it by adjusting the lanterns again. The simplest way to start is by going to the left lantern and aiming its light at the wheel next to the closed gate. This will help the shadow move toward that spot and continue the quest. Keep rotating the lanterns as needed to lead it forward.

Jade Skull Questions

Before you can finish the Shadows on the Wall quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, there’s one final task. Head over to the nearby Jade Skulls for a quick chat. They’ll give you a short quiz with three questions you’ll need to answer correctly to move forward. Don’t worry the answers are simple: a pirate ship, a pixie, and a pan flute. Once you’ve answered all three correctly, go ahead and turn the wheel nearby. This will complete the quest.

A Ship of Gold

To finish the A Ship of Gold quest, you’ll need to dive deeper into Skull Rock and explore what’s hidden inside. Start by heading through the archway, then make your way up the ramps on the other side. Near the top, you’ll find The Forgotten who now has a new name. Once you reach them, go ahead and start a conversation to move things forward.

Pixie Dust Orb Location

Head over to the glowing rock near the edge and break it open. This will release a Pixie Dust Orb grab the Pixie Dust and the Rope Winch sitting just behind it. The Forgotten will mention that Pixie Dust has the power to make things fly, and they’ll ask you to go after the orb to collect more.

To track down the Pixie Dust Orb in Disney Dreamlight Valley, go back to the entrance of Skull Rock. You’ll spot the glowing orb again, but this time it floats behind a locked gate. Look for the spot on the left side of the gate and place the Rope Winch there to open it. Once the gate is open, follow the orb inside. It’ll drop Pixie Dust as it floats away, so make sure to collect it along the way.

You’ll need to break a few rocks to reach where the orb finally stops. After gathering enough Pixie Dust and catching the orb, start looking for something big that you can use the dust on to help it fly.

How to make something fly

Once you exit the tunnel, head toward the ship on the left side of the first floor. There’s a note up on the third level near The Forgotten that talks about using Pixie Dust on the ship.

Just walk up the pier and interact with the ship to use the Pixie Dust you collected. As soon as you do, the ship will lift off into the air, opening the way for the next part of your quest. Now that the ship is floating, you can walk across it like a bridge to reach the other side. Head back up to the higher level where you’ll find The Forgotten and the strange shadow waiting. Once you’re there, go ahead and talk to them to continue the quest.

How To Solve Skull Rock Barrel Puzzle

To solve the Skull Rock barrel puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to match the symbols on the barrels on the left side with the ones on the right. There are six symbols in total, and you can line them up by rotating the barrels until they match. If you want an easy solution, here’s exactly what to do:

Skull Rock Barrel Puzzle Solution:

  • First pair:
    • Rotate the Bell barrel 2 times
    • Rotate the Pixie barrel 4 times
  • Second pair:
    • Rotate the Shadow barrel 4 times
    • Rotate the Sewing Needle barrel 2 times
  • Third pair:
    • Rotate the Clock barrel 4 times
    • Rotate the Hook barrel 2 times

Once you’ve matched all the symbols, grab the gold key that appears. Use it to jump into the ship and head into the Captain’s Cabin. Inside, pick up the Rope Winch, then place it in the empty slot next to the closed gate. This will unlock the gate, complete the A Ship of Gold quest.

The Music’s On the Walls

After you unlock the gate at the end of the A Ship of Gold quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, a new quest called The Music’s on the Wall will automatically begin. Talk to The Forgotten, who will ask you to follow a glowing musical note floating nearby.

Chase after the note it’ll lead you to a memory. Once you collect it, you’ll see an image of Peter Pan flying around, surrounded by more musical notes. This memory gives you a clue about your next step. Enter the music puzzle area by following The Forgotten through the second gate. Turn around once you’re inside, and you ought to see another luminous note floating in midair. You will unlock another memory if you follow it.

After collecting that, your next goal is to find and open the Captain’s Chest. If you haven’t already, head back to where The Forgotten is standing. There is a silver key on the ground if you look close to them (and Peter Pan’s shadow). Pick it up and use it to enter the pirate ship’s quarters. There is a chest with a treasure map inside. After picking it up, go back to The Forgotten and inform them of your findings.

Pirate Captain Treasure Location

You will decide to divide up after discussing the pirate map with The Forgotten. One of you will look for further musical notes, while the other will look for the riches. You must leave Skull Rock in order to locate the hidden treasure. Go to the ship’s side and descend using the rope. From there, go to the Orb Pillar Island in Dazzle Beach and hop on the raft. The raft will take you to a new island. Once you arrive, look around for the spot where the treasure is buried it’ll be marked.

Musical Notes Location

To collect all the glowing musical notes in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to explore five different areas: Forgotten Lands, Frosted Heights, Dream Castle, Dazzle Beach, and Skull Rock. You’ve already found the first note earlier in the quest, so there are five more to track down. Here’s where to find each one:

Forgotten Lands

Proceed to the Tree House and enter. When you see a glowing musical note, you should follow it and capture it.

Frosted Heights

Go into the Secret Chamber. Use your pickaxe to break the ice blocking the path, and you’ll uncover a musical note.

Dream Castle

Enter the Dream Castle and look around. A glowing note will appear just follow it until you can grab it.

Dazzle Beach

Make your way to the Cursed Cave. Fish in the glowing spot to reel in a musical note.

Skull Rock

Talk to the Jade Skulls. They’ll give you a riddle:
“What are the stars in the sky, from wings does it fall?”
The correct answer is Pixie Dust. Solve the riddle to get the final musical note.

Go back to Skull Rock after you’ve gathered all six glowing musical notes and obtained the Pan Flute.

How to Play the Music

It’s finally time to call forth Peter Pan now that you have gathered all of the brilliant musical notes. Speak to The Forgotten first. After that, put the Pan Flute you acquired earlier in the quest and all of the musical notes on the musical sheet in the middle of the room. Now you’ll have to perform the entire musical score.

You’ll see six glowing musical notes, three on each side of the room. Your goal is to match their positions to the lines shown on the central music sheet. To do that, use the six barrels in front of the walls. Press each one to move the note up or down until it lines up exactly with the notes shown on the sheet.

Once everything’s in place, the music will play and you’ll be one step closer to bringing Peter Pan into the valley. Just when you finish arranging the notes, Peter Pan’s shadow will show up and mess everything up. To fix this, you’ll need to craft another Pixie Dust Lantern. Once it’s ready, place it on the empty Rope Winch in the room.

Then, shine the light right in the space between the two musical walls this will trap the shadow. With the shadow contained, go ahead and rearrange the musical notes one more time to match the sheet and continue the quest.

Play Hide-n-Seek

Once Peter Pan shows up, he’ll tease you a bit saying you seem like a grown-up who’s forgotten how to have fun. To prove him wrong, you agree to play a game of hide-and-seek. Of course, in true Peter Pan fashion, he picks the darkest, spookiest place in Dreamlight Valley to hide. You can either follow the trail of Pixie Dust on the ground to track him down, or ask a few villagers for hints. Just head straight to the Dark Castle that’s where Peter Pan is hiding.

Once you find him, you’ll need to build him a house anywhere in the valley to officially invite him to stay. After that, speak with The Forgotten one last time to wrap up the “The Music’s on the Walls” quest.
